It's a little late but here goes anyway. We arrived @ MCO @10:30am and headed right down too DME. Much to our surprise it was a sea of people. It took me 25 min. to check in and then another HOUR to get on a bus. When we arrived to POP it wasn't to much of a wait. I had a wonderful Cm that check us in. I had requested the 50's section top floor. I did get the 50's but the 3rd floor which was fine as well. Our room was already for us. I had arranged for groceries to be delivered so we waited around for them. Our fridge was not in the room so we had to call and request it.

After our groceries arrived we headed to the food court to grab some grub. Hoping our luggage would be in our room when we returned.
But still no luggage. Our DD had an appt @ BBB @ 5pm and we had tickets for MNSSHP that night. We needed our luggage. I called to ask if it was there and if we could come and get it. I was told it was there and we could come get it. We headed right down to the luggage counter. After a lot of confusion and them telling me they didn't have our luggage. We found out it must be out for delivery. So we headed back to our room to wait. It was now 3:30pm. Finally at 4:15pm it should up.

Our room was wonderful. It was on the back side the building so we were able to see the fireworks at night. It was also very quite.

Our mousekeeper was good. No towel animals though.

Bus service where do I begin? This was not our first stay @ Pop in fact it was our 3rd. However it was VERY VERY packed. We waited everyday for at least 2 buses before we got on. And it was a very rare occation when we got to actualy sit on the bus. We found ourselves leaving an hour early every night so we didn't have to wait as long.

We had a fabulous time and everything was great. Any ?'s

***I have a ? for you, did you find the bus times (to/fro) were pretty close to what's posted on the POP Thread, MK - 22-25; AK 20-22; Epcot 15-17; Studios ; 15-17; DTD 15-17?? Also did you make rope drop everyday? If so what time did you leave for the bus stop, when a park opened at 9 a.m.? Trying to plan that out, leaving on Saturday!!!

THANKS!!

Was Pop full ? How was the food court...was that crowded too ? Was there a problem everyday with getting a bus and what time of day/night was it? Was it park opening and closing times (bus from resort to park) ?

Yes once we got on the bus the times were pretty close. It all depends on your driver. It never took more than 20 min. to get somewhere once we were on and going. We did make a couple rope drops for 9am. We just made sure we were @ the bus stop for 7:45am. We did have some ADR's for 8:10am. We were @ the bus stop for 7:20am and it seemed as if we had to run to the rest. Hope this helps. Have a great trip!

Yes it was full. We didn't even try to go to the food court in the mornings. We headed right to the parks. It was just about everyday the buses were packed. It got even worse later on in our trip. When we rounded the corner to go to the bus stop it was a sea of people. We even tried sleeping in and heading out later but it didn't matter.
A good example was on 9/27 we had lunch ressies for CRT @12:30. It was our DD b-day and I ordered a BIG cake for her. Seeing it was only 3 of us and not wanting to waste the cake my DH decided to run it back to our room. He left at 1:30 and didn't return back to the back until 4:00.

Hi.
New to this site.

We were there at the same time. Went on the Free Dining Plan for second year. We have stayed at the All Star Resorts in the past. Stayed at the Caribbean Beach this year. Going to stay at the Pop next Sept. We noticed it was more crowded than when we went in Sept. 2006. Wondering if it was because a lot of people did what we did. Started trip at end of Free Dining Plan promotion and stayed to be at the beginning of the Food and Wine Festival. Next year we are not going to have any overlap time to see if it helps.

We still had a FANTASTIC time.

Any pointers for staying at the Pop next year?

I thought the same thing actually. Our DD's b-day is actually 10/4 and we try and get as close as we can to her actual day. Also DH LOVES F&W so we have to be able to attend that. I was rather shocked at how crowded it was. and here I thought we were the only "bad" parents that took our kid out of school to go on vacation.
we did have a wonderful time though. Even though it looked packed we never really waited long for rides. And the weather was fabulous. I can't wait for next year. We were there only 2 weeks ago and it feels like we didn't even go!

Shum- I forgot your pointers Sorry. I like the 50's building they have there own pool and are close to the food court. I also like the top floor. It's less noisy. I can't remember the building # but it was the tramp building if you get on the back side of it you can see the fireworks.
I suggest at least walking the whole resort at least once. It's so cool and fun to see it all.
I would make sure to leave enough time to travel from one place to another.
