Well, we just got back home from our Christmas/Birthday trip on Saturday. The trip was great and we were sprinkled with some pixie dust while we were there! :wizard:

The original plan was to start our stay at the Poly GVCL for 2 nights and then move over to the BC WV for another 2 nights. The boys love the Poly and dh had never stayed CL before so that was an easy choice. However, everyone's favorite park is Epcot which is why we decided on the split stay. Ease of park hopping!!

We decided to head to DTD before going to the Poly since I needed to upgrade some of our passes to AP's. The boys and dh went to the Lego store while I took care of that.

Next we went to the Poly and were greeted and taken to the Hawaii building. The only requests I made were that we get a patio room and if at all possible, not behind the "big tree". Both requests were granted and we had a beautiful room looking at the quiet pool.

While checking in the CM told me that they could have handled upgrading my tickets to AP's.

The resort was beautiful as usual. It was extremely cold 2 mornings and we bundled up!! The CL was great and dh loved it :lovestruc we had basic offerings every morning. Cereals, bagels, danish, oatmeal, etc. Filling but not very exciting. Afternoon offerings consisted of gummy bears, goldfish, cookies and other nibbles. Perfect for an afternoon snack for the kids. Evening offerings were sushi, spicy tuna tartare, red pepper hummus, conch fritters and veggie quesdillias. Everything was very good and the chef was wonderful in describing to us what everything was and which dip to use with what. Desserts as always were wonderful!

After 2 nights at the Poly we moved over to the BC. The kids had never stayed here and were super excited about the pool!!

We pulled up out front and were greeted as usual. The CM said she was going to take us up to the 5th floor to check us in. I asked if that meant we had been upgraded to CL and she said yes. Then she looked down at her clipboard and said the only problem was that we would not be able to stay on the same floor as the CL rather on the 2nd floor b/c we had also been upgraded to a deluxe waterview room!! :scared1:

Check in was fast and easy. Then we went to our room. Holy cow!! It was HUGE!! It had a large double balcony with 2 sets of chairs and tables and tons of room to spread out! On the dressers were 2 fresh flower arrangements. I was just amazed!!! Guess maybe they were trying to out do the Poly lol!!

The lounge was good. It was small and not as cozy as the Poly. The usual breakfast offerings with the addition of hard boiled eggs (I wish they served those at the Poly). We never did make it for afternoon snacks. Evenings were good also. There was rolls with pb&j (not uncrustables), bacon wrapped scallops and some bulgar. We missed out on desserts.

We were having such a good time that dh decided he wanted to stay an extra day. The cm's were so helpful! BC was full but they did have space for us at YC so off we went!!

We had our luggage transfered over for us while we went to AK. We had a 2nd floor room overlooking stormalong bay, which the kids loved!!

Overall the boys had a hard time deciding which resort they liked best. They said their favorite is the Poly but they loved the pool at BC/YC. They asked if next time we go if we can start our trip at the BC and end it at the Poly.

Sorry this was so long! Let me know if you have any questions!!
