Our September 2011 Pre-Trip Adventure!! (Update 09/29/2011 - Link to TR!)

I'm guessing, since you have read my TR from last year and this year's PTR, you already know that my favorite ride at DHS is ToT. I mean, it just doesn't get any better!

I hope you give RnRC a try, though! Yes, it has loops, but they are really tame, and it's a very short ride! The takeoff is the most intense part of it! It's so much fun!

My favorite ride at DHS is definitely RnRC! There is just nothing that compares to the take off!

TOT is really excellent....the themeing is amazing, but I rode it once and I don't think I will do it anytime again soon. Not knowing when the drop(s) come really freaks me out.

I have a favorite attraction at DHS that isn't a ride though - Animation Academy! I love being able to draw my own Disney character! Don't miss it!!!

Yay, you're so close! I absolutely loved RnRC. But I'm a huge Aerosmith fan so that helped. I have to say that due to the speed and the dark, the upside down part was over before I even realized I was upside down. I was too much of a wimp to try ToT though I might have to try it on the October trip if my brother wants to do it. I can't let my baby brother be braver than me! I also really loved the new Star Tours. If you're a fan of the movie at all you'll like it.

my favourite ride at DHS is Toy Story!!!! I could ride that all day, unfortunately I will be in line all day too

I would have to say that my favorite ride at DHS is TSM (as you should well know participating in my TR's). :rotfl:

My second would be ToT. So I think they cover two areas. One for fun and competition and the other for thrills.

6 days!!!!!

Tower of Terror for me. Might be my favorite ride at WDW, in fact.

Favourite ride at DHS is hands down Star Tours. I should say was since the version I'm used to is no more! But I'm told the new one is even better.

The most peculiar thing about it is I don't even like Star Wars! After that it would be the Backlot Tour and then the Great Movie Ride - I can't help it, I'm an unashamed movie geek!

I'm giving RnRC a miss this time - I love coasters but I can't cope with the fast launch - way too much stress waiting for the car to go :rotfl: And this will be my first time on ToT so maybe that will become a favourite.

:cool1: Under a week to go till you get there!!

I've just been reading through some of your older posts and your Panic Mode post now has me in Panic Mode! :lmao:

I'm off to make a list of everything I need to do...

I think you should try RNRC. I was never a fan of upside down loops on roller coasters either. I will admit the first time I did it I was scared and had my eyes closed the whole time but now I love it! Same goes for Tower of Terror. But I do love Toy Story Mania too! Just beware of having a very tired arm when you're done. :rotfl:

Favourite DHS ride is Rock n Rollercoaster hands down. I was really terrified of the loops too, but it goes so fast and it's so dark that you barely notice that you were upside down until afterwards!

Yay on RnR coaster being your favourite - think that is a popular choice. I'm glad to hear that you barely noticed you were upside down until afterwards! Making me feel a bit better about the possibility of giving it a shot :thumbsup2

We have a similar ride at a theme park in the UK (without the upside down loop and it is not in the dark either) and just the suspense of waiting for the take off is enough! I sure am getting older...

As much as that was TMI, you just reminded me I had to make my appointment for next week!:thumbsup2

Favorite DHS is ToT, but that's just because I haven't been there since most of the other rides open. I remember riding ToT 3 or 4 times in a row one time, it was sooo much fun!:goodvibes

Just a few days left for you.... hopefully we'll run into you at Jiko!

Lol I'm glad that I shared the info then esp if it reminded you of making an appointment for next week :thumbsup2

My prediction is that I will feel the same about ToT but we shall see...you never know that may change for you this time round with all the other rides that are now in place. Look forward to finding out what happens.

5 days today...I can now count them on one hand!!!! :yay: I'll keep an eye out for you at AKL as we will probably have a walk around the resort if we are not too tired - will have spent the day at IOA! If you want, PM me your number and I can text you when we are done. Otherwise will just keep an eye out for you guys :goodvibes

Favorite DHS Ride is definitly RnR! It's AMAZING (so long as you like rollercoasters). Oh and a tip. It's easier going upside down if you lean back and look straight forward. (Or so DH says)
From a not so thrill ride point of view (DH) Great Movie Ride is his favorite. He could ride it all day long.

6 more Days! Yay!!

Lol another one for the RnR Coaster - am def going to have to try it now esp as you say it is AMAZING! I def like rollercoasters though think it will be a bit strange trying new ones - I am so used to knowing what to expect on the UK rollercoasters that the suspense is taken away. I'm looking forward to that returning on this trip and being excited or absolutely terrified abut the prospect of what is about to take place!

Please thank your DH for that tip - I will def be using it and doing just that when I decide to brave the coaster! He's the second person to say Great Movie Ride so look forward to riding it on our trip :goodvibes

Oh my gosh, I just got on the DISboards and saw that you're trip is less than a week away!!!! That is sooooooo exciting! :cheer2::woohoo:
I hope you can keep yourself busy and not think (too much) about the wonderful time you'll have at WDW.

Lol, you had a good reason for being away!! Can't wait to hear all about how the big day went :goodvibes

Our trip is now 5 days away!!!! :dance3: Can you believe it? I can't even describe how excited I am that we will be leaving on Tuesday!!! :cheer2:

I'll try my best though have to admit it is very hard not to think about it!

Haha yes I had a feeling you may be saying that! I hope I fall in love with it as much as you have. I totally agree in that at the minute I think there is nothing better...that may change after our trip but for now I will cheer with you for ToT being up there! :cheer2:

I really want to try it and wish someone was coming on our trip with us that would've braved these rides with me. Although I am looking forward to them I am apprehensive of being a single rider when experiencing the attractions for the first time! I sure hope I enjoy it! ;)

Oh no, all these favourite votes for RnRC is making me think that I now have to give it a try. I will see what happens when we are at DHS - may just go in the queue and then back out at the last minute! :lmao: I sure hope that doesn't happen.

Having seen the theming of ToT in videos I can't wait to experience it in person. Lol the way you feel about drops is how I feel about upside down loops. I'll probably give RnRC one attempt and then leave it after that - though this could obviously all change once I have experienced both attractions.

I sure have Animation Academy in our plans even though I can not draw to save my life!! :rotfl: I'm hoping that the step by step process will help.

5 days today Chaitali!!! :dance3: I love 'Don't want to miss a thing' by Aerosmith after watching Armageddon but don't really know many other songs. However with quite a few people loving this ride I imagine I will have to try it - even if it's just so I can say I tried it and won't be doing it again any time soon! :lmao: Many people have said that about the upside down loop so maybe I have nothing to worry about.

Lol, you def can't let your baby brother be braver than you! Look forward to hearing how you found it. See, this is why I wish my brother had decided to come with us - he would've gone on all the thrill rides with me which would have made me feel better. I'm looking forward to trying the new Star Tours :thumbsup2

my favourite ride at DHS is Toy Story!!!! I could ride that all day, unfortunately I will be in line all day too

Haha yes it would be hard to ride Toy Story all day long with the queue being soo ridiculously long!! :rotfl: I can't wait to experience that ride (hoping to get it in 4 times but we shall see...) though no doubt will end up getting beat every time! :lmao:

I would have to say that my favorite ride at DHS is TSM (as you should well know participating in my TR's). :rotfl:

My second would be ToT. So I think they cover two areas. One for fun and competition and the other for thrills.

Haha yes I could guess you were going to say that as well esp after being the queen of the highest score! :lmao: I read the tips you provided on your TR and although some of them have been forgotten I will try and remember them when I am shooting aimlessly whilst having fun!

Yay another ToT fan! I think it's a good idea to have one for fun and competition (I never knew you had a competitive streak to you ) and the other for thrills.

I'm so sorry I'm behind, Tanz. We were out of town for the weekend and I've been sick since we got back.

I have to admit, I only skimmed. I don't know if I missed favorite "Epcot" attraction. If I did, let me know and I will post.

By far, my favorite DHS attraction is Tower of Terror. :goodvibes

I cannot believe you are five days away. I hope those five days hurry up (because then mine will come faster too!).

Wow if you liked the old Star Tours than am pretty sure you will fall in love with the new version! I have heard nothing but great things about it! :thumbsup2

Lol I was just about to ask if you were a big Star Wars fan?! Guess that answered my question. Those were two attractions that were towards the bottom of our list of things to try at DHS. I'm looking forward to trying them now and you never know we may end up enjoying them more than we thought we would. The Great Movie Ride sure is a popular choice.

Exactly - that's how I feel! However, I have never tried it so should at least give it a shot, right? Yay, can't wait to find out what you thought of ToT and if you fall in love with it!

5 days today!!! :yay: I'm sooo excited that I can count them on one hand!!!

I've just been reading through some of your older posts and your Panic Mode post now has me in Panic Mode! :lmao:

I'm off to make a list of everything I need to do...

Lol, don't panic!!! I remember being in Panic Mode and thinking I would not have everything done in time but everyone reassured me that making my lists would help. It sure did and can't believe how calm and collective I feel at the minute :rotfl:

Read your list and am sure you will get through it before your trip - it will also make the last 16 days go quicker! :goodvibes

6 days!!!!!

Tower of Terror for me. Might be my favorite ride at WDW, in fact.

5 days today!!! :dance3:

Yay, can't wait to experience ToT and hope it becomes a favourite of mine! :thumbsup2

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

My friends and I are back! :rotfl2:

Soon, so very soon!

Yay 5 days!!!!! Can count them on one hand!!!! :dance3:

I don't mind you and your friends being back - look forward to seeing them everyday! I wish I could join you in your single digit countdown but will be thinking of you as you count down each banana! :goodvibes

I'm thinking the same. I'm pretty sure I will have my eyes shut through the entire experience (will have to take a pic to prove it!) but think that once I know what to expect will feel much better :thumbsup2

Yep, although I'm looking forward to ToT am sure the suspense will still play its part! I can't wait to ride TSMM and am sure I will have a very tired arm by the end of it! The mixture of that and being beat is not going to go down well! :rotfl2:

I'm so sorry I'm behind, Tanz. We were out of town for the weekend and I've been sick since we got back.

Don't worry about it Kathy - am glad you are here now. Read on your PTR about being out of town and then sick - hope you are feeling better :goodvibes

I have to admit, I only skimmed. I don't know if I missed favorite "Epcot" attraction. If I did, let me know and I will post.

No worries. Yes, I posted the 'Epcot' attraction over the weekend (I think) and went with Test Track but wish I had chosen Soarin now - I decided to go with the attraction we would both enjoy but boy did that come back to bite me! :lmao:

By far, my favorite DHS attraction is Tower of Terror. :goodvibes

Yay, I hope that will end up being my favourite as well! :thumbsup2

I cannot believe you are five days away. I hope those five days hurry up (because then mine will come faster too!).

I can't believe it either!!! :dance3: Technically it is actually less than 5 because of the time difference and us having an early flight.

You are not that far away...15 days!!!! :yay: I have just realised yours is another single digit dance I will miss...will have to make sure I do early single digit dances for you guys.

:woohoo: that's even closer!! It also means I will def be able to join in your single digits dance!

See...knew I should have gone with that one. Oh well, lesson learnt!

Ahhh 5 DAYS!!!!!!! You must be out of your mind excited!!!!!!

My fave DHS ride has to be ToT!! I love it!! It's thrilling and the amosphere is so great! I also just love being in the park itself because it's such a great energy and there's always so much to see! You're going to love it! :thumbsup2
