I love the DIS too. As you said, it's so nice to have people to talk with about Disney who don't think you're crazy!

This month is my two year DIS anniversary. I have no idea what my first post was - the search only takes me back about 6 months!

I can't remember what my first post was about... I tried to search, but apparently you can only go back so far, and my 1st post was too far back, LOL!

I've been toying with the idea of doing a DR myself... are you going to include the DR in your TR? Or just post on your DR, and then in your TR link over? (does any of that make sense?)

I can't imagine having planned my first trip without these boards - it sure would have been a huge disappointment and I would have ended up not having a clue about some things

This trip sure is getting close!! I am excited but as time nears I'm also getting a bit apprehensive about the high expectations I have set for this trip!

He sure is a good boy - puts the rest of us to shame! Have not seen him for a few days though so am not sure if he has changed. Will be paying him a visit this week - can't wait!

It sure is great!! I love that you can talk about Disney all day long too without anyone thinking your crazy! My brothers just roll their eyes when I talk about our trip and say that they will be glad when it's over so they don't have to listen to my stupid plans anymore! Little do they know that the trip is just the beginning...

You are not alone Shannon...everyone else has had a similar problem! I just have a memory where certain information sticks in my mind and this was one of the things. Strange, I know...

What you said totally makes sense! I'm going to do a DR and then was planning to just post links in my TR so anyone that wants to read it on the TR can do so as well. I may post my favourite snacks on both such as a Dole Whip and Caramel Cupcake etc. You should start a DR...I'll def read and am sure a few others would as well

Happy DIS-aversary! I have been on the boards for awhile, but I didn't really click with it until I started hanging out on the trip report boards. I found people on the other boards to be very pompous and opinionated and ready to flame at the drop of a hat.

I love the TR boards because I have met some really wonderful people! And I think communicating by writing helps you to really get to know someone!

Also I've "met' the most amazing people from all over the world that I would have never had the chance to talk with!

for Mickey Mail!!! I am soo excited of how quickly this trip is now creeping up on us. I have a few minutes where I think of what I have to get done and start to get a bit apprehensive but on the whole am very excited!

Thanks! I agree in that the trip report boards are the best! I love reading about other peoples experiences and the preparation that went into the trips as well. I have gone on other boards such as the dining and community ones - have found that they are great fun as well but get what you are saying about being flamed for having an opinion. I don't like threads where people start to get personal and have a go at someone for just voicing their opinion

I have also met wonderful people on these boards!

I sure enjoyed having this anniversary and it is up there with being one of the best! I know, everyday I learn something new and it is so nice having such wonderful people to share trip plans with. I have also learnt about non-disney related things. Where else would I have learnt about Packers and Cheeseheads! Thanks for educating me on the topic.

I agree - I don't think I would have got to know any of you if it hadn't been for these boards and I may even get to meet some of the friends I have made during our trip!

Glad to hear it - I wouldn't have it any other way and the same goes for me. If I didn't have a trip in the works I would NEED to be on here to get my fix of Disney World!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a great Tuesday!

Today is a special day for us as it is Eid which marks the end of Ramadan! We have a big family dinner planned for later with lots of yummy food! My body is still used to eating during the night so am not sure how it will react to eating at a normal time again!

Anyway, this now means after today I can start packing!! Also...

TWO WEEKS TODAY I WILL BE IN THE AIR ON MY WAY TO FLORIDA!!!!!

This PTR has been lacking some pics recently so I thought I would predict what I think will be my favourite ride in each park (am not doing water parks as am sure it will end up being the wave/lazy pool! )

So, I am going to start with MK - I may be completely off the mark but my guess is going to be:

After seeing many pics and videos of Splash Mountain I can't wait to go on it and get drenched!! Will it end up being my favourite? You'll find out in the TR!

Do you have a favourite attraction at MK? If so, what is it?

Yay, 2 weeks!!! It's going to be here before you know it!

I think my favorite MK ride would be Splash Mountain too! But I also really love Space Mountain, and Pirates of the Caribbean, so it's a tough choice!

Hmmm, good question, favourite attraction in MK.

I'm going to have to go with the Haunted Mansion. It's no thrill ride but there's just something so Disney and so fun about it, and now I can't wait to try out the new queue!

Splash Mountain is definitely one of my favorites at MK...but I do have many others too... There are just so many great rides there! I'm so excited for you to have your first trip!!!!
