Our September 2011 Pre-Trip Adventure!! (Update 09/29/2011 - Link to TR!)

I've booked the day before we leave off from work so I can pack. :teeth: I've had my suitcase tucked under a table in my bedroom and been throwing things in there for weeks but I'm definately a last second packer.

I got your PM for our meet and FB... we'll get that set up this weekend!!

Lol am glad to read am not the only one that will be packing at the last minute!! :rotfl: I do wish we had space to have the suitcase tucked somewhere handy to put stuff in but no can do. I have my stuff all piled in wardrobes/drawers but it's still to hand and will be easy to pick up and stuff into the suitcase! :teeth:

Cool - looking forward to it!!

I wouldn't start to panic yet.

I think you will be able to get all those tasks accomplished in time for your trip. There are a few things on there that won't take long to do, and the other things you will have fun doing because you'll be thinking about how you're about to go to WDW!:thumbsup2

It might seem overwhelming right now, but I have waited longer than you do some of those things and haven't had any issues. Heck, my last trip, I didn't even have laundry going to pack until noon the day before! :rotfl:

As far as online check-in goes, I think it's a case by case basis of whether or not you should do it. If you don't have any requests and/or nothing you need to talk to anyone about, I'd say go ahead and do online check-in. However, if you want to make sure you got the building you requested or need a special service, regular check-in is the way to go.

And if your To-Do list is really stressing you out, the best thing to do is make a calender of the days left and make a "Do this by this date" schedule. That way you can kind of space everything out and see when you'll have free time to get those tasks accomplished.

Lol think I'm okay today!

I sure hope I manage to get all the things done before our trip. Yep, it sure didn't take me long to dial the salon and book my hair and nail appointments!! :rotfl: I'm looking forward to making the room window decorations, tip/house keeping envelopes and my LGMHs - just need to find some lime green card/paper. I'm not very creative but am looking forward to making them on the computer ;)

Lol thanks hun - that has made me feel much better. I remember now how it was Mother's day and you wanted to spend some time with your mum :thumbsup2 Don't think I will be leaving it that late but will probably not be able to get much done until 12 days before our trip!!

I have requested a specific building and floor so am not sure what to do now :confused3 May just wait until I get there as don't think the lines will be too bad. Have a while to think about it though so will see what I feel like doing near the time.

That's a great idea! I can mark them on our countdown calendar :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for your input and making me feel better! :grouphug: I sure feel more in control today and like I will be able to accomplish everything before our trip.

Also we are finally in the 30s!!! 39 days until our trip!!! :yay: Can't wait to be able to say that in one months time we will be going to Disney World!!!

There is NO way I can catch up on everything. I did look at your ADR's and they look great. It looks like our trips overlap a little, but it doesn't look as if we are at the same parks the same day.

Well, I'm here now and will follow along with much anticipation.

I was going to write thanks but then realised the payment part and thought better! :rotfl2:

Hahaha! I can't hep it, all this dieting has me thinking about food constantly! ( I know, this coming from the girl who is not fasting...but still!:lmao:)

I'm glad to hear you're made some progress on your list, and are feeling better about the whole thing :)

:welcome: Kathy thanks for joining! :goodvibes I can't wait to eat at the places we have ADRs for. Yes, I saw that when looking at your PTR - a shame we will be in different parks.

Thanks again for following.

Haha! Join the club! We've just finished eating so feel better now after having eaten half a pack of biscuits with a coffee!! :lmao:

Thanks hun - am also glad to have made progress :goodvibes

Relax. Deep breath! You will be fine and you will get everything done. Just be excited that your trip is so close. That's awesome!

I have no idea if I have posted here yet - I've been reading and trying to catch up...I think I am! Regardless, I'm here now! :goodvibes

We leave in six days and your list is shorter than mine. Does that make you feel better? ;) Really though, it is! I usually start throwing stuff together about a week in advance, then pack about 2 days prior to make sure everything is clean.

I haven't pulled out the suitcases yet this time...but they will come out probably on Monday.

Try to do one thing a day, then pack about a week in advance, and you'll be just fine!

Thanks - I have taken many deep breaths and think I am okay now! I sure hope I get everything done but am just going to take it one day at a time. I can't believe how close this trip is getting - it sure is exciting!

Yay thanks for being here Brook! :goodvibes

That is definitely good to hear and yes it does make me feel better ;) Hope you manage to get everything done in the next week and have a great trip - can't wait to hear all about it.

That's what I'm hoping to do - can't wait for everything to come together and it be time to leave for our trip!!

Btw I had a look at the link to your blog and love all the treat pics! :thumbsup2

If you were completely ready, what would you do while waiting? :rotfl2:

We leave Monday bright and early, but I am waiting to pack until tomorrow. When I pack early, I overpack. Earlier in the week, I wanted to start packing, and my mom said, go ahead and then take half out on Sunday. (I guess I tell her my tried and true way to not overpack one time too many...:rotfl:)

I think a list is another great way to make sure you don't overpack. Heck, if you are so inclined (and to help you pass the time) you could create a picture list of all of your lovely new clothes!

Hey Deb I never thought about it like that but you are right - if I have everything done will only spend the last few days sitting around twitching my thumbs and waiting for the time to leave to hurry up and arrive! :rotfl:

Good luck with your packing and hope you and the family have an awesome trip - can't wait to hear all about it :goodvibes Lol mum's sure have a way of knowing what we are like and telling us how it is! :lmao: I know my mum has done that so many times.

Yep, making my lists of what to take should help with the weight load (or so I hope :rolleyes1) - like you have said in the past will probably have to sit on my suitcase to shut it! Lol I'm not that bored just yet - though may have to consider taking photos of new clothes if my mind goes into overdrive again and starts to panic

Thanks! I hope to get it rolling a bit more. I've been focusing on my other blog (where I post my TRs and NYC and life stuff). Too many things to keep track of.

The suitcases haven't come out today, but clothes are being piled! Things are coming together!

Cool - will look out for new stuff! :thumbsup2 Wow you sure do keep busy - don't know how you fit it all in

Glad to hear things are coming together - am sure the suitcases will come out soon! I need to try and find time to read your new joint PTR - have some free time tomorrow so will try and catch up so I am ready to read all about your trip when you return. Have a great time! :goodvibes

Hi sweetie...I just wanted you to know that Jasmine and I are thinking about you! We heard the riots have hit Manchester and we are worried sick....I know we live very far away, but if you just need someone to talk to...I'm here  One of my young girls at work is from London (she just moved here last year) and she is so worried about all her family:sad1:Keep safe my friend:hug:

Tanz, just want you to know we are thinking of you and your loved ones with all the turmoil. Stay safe.

I just heard on the news that the riots have come closer, and then I come here and see the same. I hope you are staying safe, and you family as well:hug:

Thanks my friend  Please also thank Jasmine for me. I will definitely take you up on the offer of a chat if I feel the need to let off steam. Think most people here are just annoyed with the youths who are doing all this. It just doesn't make sense - what are they gaining from ruining people's businesses and homes.

It is just heart breaking to hear some of the stories on the news. I have spent most of my time today at my mums as just didn't feel safe in the flat which is near where the riots are taking place :sad2:

I hope the family of the girl from work is safe. We have relatives abroad who have been ringing to check up on us so I can only imagine how worried she is.

Tanz, just want you to know we are thinking of you and your loved ones with all the turmoil. Stay safe.

Thanks Kathy  I'm hoping that what happened tonight is the end of it and it will not happen again tomorrow. I really don't see how people are gaining from doing all this.

Thanks my friend  My family and I are all safe and well. It's just businesses they are attacking at present but that still is someone's livelihood.

Yikes, I don't read/listen to/watch the news. I basically live under a rock. So I googled the riots. I sincerely hope that you and everyone you know and love are fine and stay that way until things calm down.

I was listening to BBC World News this morning and they were interviewing some of the kids in Manchester that were looting.... they basically had no regard for people whatsoever! I hope Cameron does what he says and starts tracking these punks down from all the video footage.

Stay safe, hopefully tonight will be better!

Thanks Wendy  I normally don't listen to the news so religiously either but have been glued to my television for the last few days! I'm hoping things will be calmer today - they have been so far.

Yes, I saw that interview as well. It is just not nice to hear the kids say that they don't care about everyone else and this is their way of making money :sad2: However, I also know of teenagers who are caring and want to make sure the community is safe - some of them gathered this morning to clean up the mess the others had made. The courts have been major busy today.

Thanks hun - am also hoping the same!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your week. It's raining here today but that maybe a good thing as less people will be taking to the streets of Manchester.

I have realised that this PTR has been a bit depressing lately and am hoping to change that today!

Time for some good news. Well, I went Weight Watchers today with the intention of hoping to lose some weight. Yes, I have been eating biscuits and cake but I have also not been eating during the day. That has got to make a difference, right? ;) Well, not so! I stayed the same weight! I'm happy with that as it is better then putting on weight. Will just have to cut out the sweet things I eat with my coffee during the night! I'm going to try my best but anyone that knows me knows what a sweet tooth I have! I would choose chocolate over crisps anyday.

We are also expecting an addition to our family and I am soo excited. My cousin and his wife are having their first baby which was meant to have arrived by now - obviously wants to take it's time! However, she will be admitted into hospital on Friday if there is still no progress. Looking forward to seeing the cutie :cutie:

I have been lacking a bit with the list - have got one thing done and then let it rest! However, my mum and I are going shopping this weekend to get my toiletries, sun cream and ponchos etc. Once I have done that then I will have all my things ready and just need to get them into our suitcase!! :woohoo:

34 days today and counting!!!
