Our September 2011 Pre-Trip Adventure!! (Update 09/29/2011 - Link to TR!)

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a good week!

I'm feeling much better now - still trying to convince Z to attend MNSSHP!

Anyway, caught up with a movie this week. I have never seen this movie before but wish I had gone to the theatres on its release date now.

I watched Up and loved it! I was a bit emotional when Ellie loses her baby and then dies - really felt for Carl. However, I love the relationship with him and Russell. It was hilarious at parts as well - my favourite line was 'Lets play a game of who can keep silent for the longest!' and then Russell saying 'My mum loves that game as well!' :rotfl:

What do you guys think about this one? :goodvibes

Good to hear you're feeling better. :goodvibes Sorry about your Mom though!

I loved Up! :lovestruc We saw it in the theatres and I had to hide my tears at those opening scenes behind my 3D glasses. Just brilliant.

We love Dug and still giggle whenever we randomly yell, "squirrel!" An absolutely awesome movie.

Hi! "Up" is probably in my top 3 Pixar movies.. it's amazing! incredibly emotional but funny & heart-warming a the same time.. my sister and I got to meet Carl, Russell & Dug at the Studios in 2009 and it made for great pictures! :cutie:

I really want to watch that movie now... hehe

Emma princess: x

UP is one of my favorites!

I am a hot mess during the entire beginning of that movie, when they go through the montage of their life together. Just a sobbing mess!

I absolutely love the movie Up. Mike and I took my parents to see it in the theater in 3D and we all loved it. Sadly I didn't see Russell or Carl at the parks but it would be great to have a photo with them. Wall-E is my other Pixar favorite, though really all their movies are good.

Count me as another one who is a blubbering idiot at the beginning of this movie! And then I get happy tears at the end when it shows how close Carl and Russell become - yeah, I'm sappy like that

This is also a Disney animated movie that Don will watch over and over, that means they must have done something right!

We love Dug and still giggle whenever we randomly yell, "squirrel!" An absolutely awesome movie.

Ha! We do this too!

Glad you're feeling better!

I still haven't seen Up! I know, crazy, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet! I will sooner or later, I'm sure I will like it, I'm just weird about the Pixar movies sometimes! :rotfl:

Thank you :goodvibes I know - can't believe she managed to catch it - hopefully she'll feel better in a couple of days.

It sure is great! :thumbsup2 Although I wish I had seen it in the theatres would probably have been a wreck by the time it ended!

Hi! I love Up as well - can't believe it has taken me so long to get round to watching it! Aaw I would love to meet Carl, Russell and Dug but looks like it's not going to happen. That sure sounds like a great picture! :thumbsup2

Haha on wanting to watch that movie now...you may have to wait a few days as have heard that you have a busy weekend! :rotfl:

Join the club! I was a mess at the start and then again when Carl discovered the photos of him and Ellie with a message telling him to make new adventures! :rolleyes1

I love it too! :thumbsup2 Yay on getting to watch it in the theatres. I think Russell and Carl aren't in the parks anymore which is why you didn't see them. I would have loved to have met them as well.

I watched a bit of Wall-E the other day and didn't really enjoy it that much. May have to give it another shot.

I'm glad that I am not the only one - makes me feel much better! I love the ending when Carl gives Russell that badge - so nice to see them happy together.

If Don likes it maybe I should get Zaheer to try and watch this one!

Glad you're feeling better!

Aaw thank you :goodvibes

Hey don't worry - it took me long enough to get round to seeing it! I know what you mean - like I just said I couldn't really get into Wall-E. Def try and watch Up when you can though as I think you would really enjoy it!

As you are emotional like me I would keep some tissues handy...just saying! :rotfl:

Question of the week: How do I convince Zaheer that MNSSHP is more then just candy and fireworks??

Show him pictures or a video of the parade. It's the best parade ever! Really good. And the HM all light up with crazy lights - nothing like it. I've been to the Halloween party twice. I would go every year if I could.

I actually hadn't seen the begining of the movie, before I saw the rest. Kadence was watching it and then I came in later an finished it with her. I then went back to watch it and WOW! What a great movie. How can Disney put out this sad stuff and make us love it?:confused3

I have done that but will try again! I didn't know about HM being lit up - will try that one and see what happens! I would love to get to experience it just once! :rotfl:

It sure is great, isn't it? ;) I'm glad you went back and watched it from the start after you watched the ending. I know - I was in tears but at the same time thinking 'aaw how great'! :lmao:

My favorite part in UP is the dog :lmao: "Squirrel. Squirrel!"

Lol Dug sure is funny! :rotfl: at 'Squirrel'!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend and treating dads to this special day!

As soon as I am done on here I am going round to my parents to have dinner with them and give my dad our gifts - am thinking of stopping at Krispy Kremes on the way! ;)

Anyway 86 days to go!! :woohoo:

This week I've started our countdown calendar! I know I said I would wait until July but couldn't do it! :lmao:

I used a template from the creative disigns board and ammended the dates.

Our result is:

img020-1.jpg

I've marked the dates that have passed us by.

I love the September one as it says how many days are left on each date! :cool1: Sorry it is not very clear.

img019-1.jpg

In other news I'm still waiting on Wishes Dessert Party to be released for our dates and trying to book O'hana (not having much luck at the minute!)

I also need to check park hours as they have changed and extra Fantasmic dates have been added. I won't have time to do this today but will try and check them tomorrow and see if we need to make any changes!

I know that ITTBAB will not be showing during our trip. I'm a bit bummed that I will not get to experience it but on the other hand am not a fan of bees stinging me!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a good week :goodvibes

Yay, a countdown calendar.

My advice is to be patient about the opening of the dessert party dates. It honestly seemed like it took forever to open up for ours.

You can book the dessert party online and that's how I would be able to check regularly if the date had become available or not. Obviously I knew it was available the day that it allowed me to book it! :rotfl:

86 days....wow, I can't believe it's coming so fast....after I post I have to figure out how many days we have left...I've kinda stopped looking:confused3

I love your countdown calendar....it's fantastic!! I hope you had a great weekend!!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your week so far! We have had miserable weather in Manchester today – lightening, thunder and rain! :scared1:

Anyway I watched a movie yesterday that cheered me up a bit. This movie has a special place in my heart as it is one of the first memories I have of watching a Disney movie. We spent the night at my Aunts and I got to watch it all where as my brother had to go to bed before the end – he was not too pleased about this!!

I watched Bambi!

bambi-7-1.jpg

I love, love, love this movie. Thumper is great and his one liners that his dad told him remind me of the advice we were given as kids – ‘Eat your greens – they make you strong!’ and ‘If you don’t have anything good to say don’t say anything at all!’

I remember as a kid being upset when Bambi’s mother died so was expecting to get emotional. However, although I was a bit sad I did not shed any tears – I am so proud!!

How do you all feel about this one? Look forward to finding out :)

Bambi never used to be my fav classic Disney, I think it had something to do with really upsetting me when I was young (same as you when his mother dies).

Love Little April Showers song, v cute and Thumper comes out with some great lines

"Eating greens is a special treat, It makes long ears and great big feet. But it sure is awful stuff to eat." I made that last part up myself"

Hi everyone! Hope you are all okay and enjoying this fine weekend! Nothing fine about it for me personally. The weather has been miserable and to top things off have been in bed with a rotten bug for most of the weekend. What a waste :sad2:

Anyway am feeling a bit better today so have spent some time catching up on here. I don't really have much to update on this week apart from that I spent some time during the week compiling our snacks list - can't wait to try them all! popcorn::

I do have a bit of a dilemma that I need some help with. I was thinking whilst resting that I really do want to attend MNSSHP - it just sounds so good and I do not want to miss my chance of enjoying a party at Disney World!

imagesqtbnANd9GcRNx9RNuemn4NagTDShVoSHVif7LTOmesRUGNkSoDwaocgLO4oe.jpg

So I mentioned it to Zaheer expecting him to say he doesn't want to go but he said he would have a look at the party on you tube and decide. He had a look at a few videos this weekend and then said it's just about candy and a few extra fireworks! :sad2: He said we could watch the fireworks from the beach (Poly) like planned.

I need your help to try and change his mind and get him on board!

Question of the week: How do I convince Zaheer that MNSSHP is more then just candy and fireworks??

Ok first off, those fireworks are not just any old fireworks. HalloWishes is amazing and by far the best display at Disney (although Wishes is a close second). The song they use is awesome and goes so well, the first time we saw it we just stood there in awe mouths agape

Another plus for MNSSHP are the characters, you get to see some rare ones as well as only special to MNSSHP too. Plus Mickey and Minnie in their costumes (and all the other characters) are just too cute :)

and last, but certainly by no means least, Mickey's Boo to You Parade. Awesome parade and song. Go on to my last TR and see all the character photos we managed to get as well as the parade and show Zaheer (hopefully it will sway him) :)

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a good week!

I'm feeling much better now - still trying to convince Z to attend MNSSHP!

What do you guys think about this one? :goodvibes

Glad to hear you are feeling better. There is defo something going around, my colleagues at work are dropping like flies, so not fun :(

I love Up, something a wonderful film. I must say that the opening montage is one of the most amazing and sad opening scenes, I tear up every single time.

The characters are awesome, esp Dug such a cutey bless him. I've just added the digital copy to my iPad (along with Princess and the Frog and Tangled) so am all set for the plane with my Disney films :teeth:

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday :)

I've been away from the DISboards for a week... I've got some catching up to do! :surfweb:

I'm just going to repeat what others have said about MNSSHP: it really is a fun event! And I'm not even a big fan of Halloween, LOL! HalloWishes is great, and the Boo to You! parade is, by far, the best parade at WDW. And getting to see the characters all dressed up in costumes is the best part!

Love the Countdown calendar. Nothing wrong with starting a little early, right?

I hope that you are able to get Ohanna and the Dessert Party! Keep us posted.

Great countdown calendar! Never too early to start... we've had our chain going since March! :rotfl: Hope you had a great weekend and good luck on the Dessert party and 'Ohana. :teeth: Fingers crossed!
