Our September 2011 Pre-Trip Adventure!! (Update 09/29/2011 - Link to TR!)

Looks like you are going to have a great time at Pop!
I think my kids would love to stay there on our next trip.

I have only stayed at 2 resorts, the All-Star Sports & Caribbean Resort. Our kids liked them both & I really liked both of them the same also. I did like the covered bus stops better at CBR than ***. I hate waiting for busses in the hot sun!
We are NEVER at our resort, so we just need a clean bed to sleep on

Thank you! Yes, it sure looks like fun for the kids - am pretty sure my little sister would love it here as well.

I like the look of CBR - it looks like a fun place to stay and relaxing in the hammocks would be great! :cloud9: Covered bus stops are probably better in the heat - am not looking forward to having to stand in the lines in the sun.

That's why I made the list because otherwise we would probably spend a lot of time away from our resort - this way we will have to actually explore the resort to tick things off the list!

I love your plans for enjoying POP! December was our first time staying there, and we really enjoyed it but I definitely feel like we missed out on so much that is has to offer! It is great that you are going to take the time to enjoy it! :)

To answer your question, I would have to say right now that my favorite Disney resort is Caribbean Beach. We have never stayed at a deluxe resort (that will be changing next month!) but we have stayed at All Star Movies, POP, Caribbean Beach, and Port Orleans French Quarter. I think I love Caribbean Beach because it was our first ever Disney resort. Plus I love the atmosphere of the food court and gift shop, and the rooms are beautiful! I really like that tropical atmosphere. It's so pretty!

I will say though, if you ask me the same question this time next month I think my answer will be ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE! :goodvibes

I don't think I've stayed at my favorite resort yet :lmao: I have a long list of potential favorites, AKL, BC, BWI, Poly, but I haven't stayed at any of those so I can't really say any of them are a favorite (will be able to mark one of those off the list after next week :woohoo: ). Of the resorts I've stayed at (CSR, CBR, POFQ, OKW & The Swan) I'd have to say my favorite was probably POFQ. I loved the smaller, more intimate size. The walk along the river was very nice and lets not forget the beignets!

Thank you! I enjoyed seeing your pics of Pop but am guessing it was too cold to do some of the things on our list! I'm looking forward to exploring our resort and enjoying all it has to offer.

You are the second person to mention CBR as a favourite. I will have to look into this resort as the atmosphere does sound great and the pirate themed rooms give it an added appeal.

Of course I am expecting you to say AKL after your next trip! I can't wait to read about it in your upcoming TR! :goodvibes

Haha I think I am the same - need to stay at AKL, BC, AKL and Poly before I can make a decision! :lmao:

:woohoo: on being able to mark one off next week - can't believe how close your trip is getting! Can't wait to read about your experiences.

POFQ and POR sound like great resorts - of course the beignets may have a slight impact!! :rotfl:

Hi everyone! Hope your enjoying your week so far. It has been very windy in Manchester and the weather is changing. I can't really complain as have been hearing about the bad weather in the States which sounds awful.

Anyway after talking about POP it was only fair to watch The Jungle Book and I enjoyed this movie a lot!

I loved when Mowgli and Baloo met, especially Mowgli trying to roar! :rotfl:

I also enjoyed the music - Bear necessities and I wanna be like you (still am humming to that tune!)

So, what are your thoughts on this one? Look forward to reading them :)

Love the Jungle Book!! When my nephew was little and I had to babysit him, he would watch that movie 10x a day!! I almost got sick of it then hahaha! :rotfl2:

I don't think we have watched that one yet!! Our next movie is Aristocats! :goodvibes

Love Love Love this movie. It's one of my favorites. I used to sing Bare necessities all the time when I was little.

I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid! In fact, I'm not sure my own kids have seen it! Will have to rectify that soon.

Love the Jungle Book!! :thumbsup2 Great choice! I do love the music too!! I remember my dad and I singing the Bare Necessities together in the car! :goodvibes Great Disney memories!

I loved it too! Haha yep that is a bit too many times! :rotfl: I bet you knew all the words to that one then.

You should try and fit it in before you go if you can. Right, ok this is very spooky now. You can probably guess what my next movie is then! :rotfl2:

I love it too - think it is great! I love Bear necessities (as it is based on a jungle I always spell this song name this way round on purpose!) - I saw my little sister today and when I mentioned this movie the first thing she said was 'Can we listen to Bare necessities!'

I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid! In fact, I'm not sure my own kids have seen it! Will have to rectify that soon.

Before watching this one a couple of days ago the last time I had seen it was as a kid. You should try and see it with the kiddos - be prepared for them to be singing the songs long after the movie is over!

It sure was a great watch! I loved the music and it does get in to your head and make you want to listen to it again and again! Am glad you have some great memories that have been created as a result of The Jungle Book :thumbsup2

Edit: Sorry Emma for not welcoming you yesterday! I don't know why but I thought you had already posted on here :confused3 Anyway, although it is a little late :welcome: to our PTR and thank you for commenting! :goodvibes

Love the Jungle Book! That and the Aristicats are high on my favorite list, of course because of the music!

I love Baloo! I haven't seen the movie in a few years, but I always loved the music. Bare Neccessities is one of the (many) songs I always listen to before Disney trips.

Gosh, I haven't seen the Jungle Book in many many years but I remember I loved it! :thumbsup2 I always used to try to walk like Mowgli when I was a kid! :lmao: We met Baloo on our last trip (that update in my TR is still to come) and he was so much fun! :goodvibes

I think I have only seen the Jungle Book once, a long time ago! I don't really remember it, but I do know I like the songs, especially "Bare Necessities", such a classic Disney song! :cool1:

I was never a big fan of the Jungle Book, but I do love the songs and Bare Necessities is great to watch, Baloo is such a character :)

I love this movie too :) The music is great! I was very excited when we saw King Louie and Baloo last week. Not excited enough to wait in line, but it was nice to see that they're still around.

Baloo is great! Yes, the music is lovely. Bare Necessities just has that feel good factor to it and sure is good way to put you in holiday mood for your Disney trip! :goodvibes
