We were in a B&B in june that just had a charcoal gray raw silk upholstered headboard. It lookes awesome, and all it waas was a rectangular piece of wood with some quilt batting and the fabric stapled over it. It was romantic and looked easy to do....would work well in pretty much any color you are going for, just coordinate the headboard fabric with your comforter.

We have had sleet since about 7:30. Now some rain is mixing in with it. IT looks like it is supposed to turn back to sleet or possibly snow around noon.

Ok Peeps....I have to tell you how proud I am of my Martina!!!! When I picked her up from pre-school yesterday, one of her teachers pulled me aside and said that someone had made fun of a new girl and made her cry. Martina saw her Crying, and went up to her and said "I'm sorry she hurt your feelings. That wasn't nice to make you cry. I'll be your friend. Come play with me." She took her hand and took her over to play dress up with her. At age 4!!!! I am so proud of her! Yes, I'd like my kids to be smart and successful, but if they are good, caring people, I couldn't be more proud!

Very busy lately
-Tot_P and Figment(dd11) sick this week. Tot_P has missed three days of school, was going back today but now it's closed....she is
-Figment went back yesterday...which was great because they announced that she was STUDENT OF THE WEEK!!!! She got her picture taken and it will be hang in our local Office Depot next week! We were very proud of her.
Need to finish shopping....kids are done, but need to do a few more things. Thank goodness for internet shopping.
Most of all...miss my peeps greatly! I need to go get ready for dumb old work now.

Hey You Guys. I'm having a bad day.
Ok my day today...
I got up at 6:45am and heard my phone ringing.. I answered it to my mom freaking out.. My nephew quit breathing.. (the one that was premature and had to have the surgery in february) I guess he had such a high fever that it caused him to quit breathing.. They did CPR and got him to breath again. Rushed him to the hospital and they gave him steroids to help him. He is fine now but it was a really looooooooooong stressful day.. He has a really bad cold and it was too much for him to handle. I'm still stressed out about it. Poor baby...
On top of all that we had our normal school and mike's friend came over and layed our bathroom floor for us.. It looks so nice..
No on to the funny part of my day:
I was getting Emily from school (3year old preschool) and I was putting a scarf on a little boy and I said your scarf is so cool did mom get you this scarf and the boy said yes she did and she got me these gloves too! I said that is so cool You have a really cool mom.. He said to me "No she's fat" I had all I could do not to bust out laughing in this kids face.
Just back from DD(12)'s chorus concert! it was fun and relaxing. SHe had a solo! She had to audition for it. She was so proud that she got the solo and she did so well. Then we get home and the phone rings and dd(16) answers and says it's some man looking for her parents.Well the man is her math teacher and I think oh no! Well he says he was just calloing to let me and DH know what a pleasure it is to have my DD in class, because she works so hard and has such a good attitude. It's an honors class and is very difficult and he says that having kids like her as his students makes teaching so rewarding.
My heart is singing. WHat a great day!

As of 7:00 pm, we have about 9 or 10 inchesI agree with you 100% on that one...
Love the tree. Very nice.ok we went last night and cut down our christmas tree. Its an hour drive there and then an hour drive back. Usually we are in the field for at least an hour.... We had our tree picked out in less than 10 minutes and were on our way.
Now lets see how long it will take for us to decorate it..
