HOW TO CALL THE POLICE WHEN YOU'RE OLD AND DON'T MOVE FAST ANYMORE.

George Phillips of Meridian, Mississippi was going up to bed when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window.

George opened the back door to go turn off the light but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things.

He phoned the police, who asked 'Is someone in your house?' and he said 'no'. Then they said that all patrols were busy, and that he should simply lock his door and an officer would be along when available. George said, 'Okay,' hung up, counted to 30, and phoned the police again.

'Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed Well, you don't have to worry about them now because I've just shot them.' Then he hung up.

Within five minutes three pol ice cars, an Armed Response Unit, and an ambulance showed up at the Phillips' residence and caught the burglars red-handed.

One of the Policemen said to George: 'I thought you said that you'd shot them!'
George said, 'I thought you said there was nobody available!'

(True Story) I LOVE IT - Don't mess with old people!!

Ok my day today...

I got up at 6:45am and heard my phone ringing.. I answered it to my mom freaking out.. My nephew quit breathing.. (the one that was premature and had to have the surgery in february) I guess he had such a high fever that it caused him to quit breathing.. They did CPR and got him to breath again. Rushed him to the hospital and they gave him steroids to help him. He is fine now but it was a really looooooooooong stressful day.. He has a really bad cold and it was too much for him to handle. I'm still stressed out about it. Poor baby...


On top of all that we had our normal school and mike's friend came over and layed our bathroom floor for us.. It looks so nice..

No on to the funny part of my day:

I was getting Emily from school (3year old preschool) and I was putting a scarf on a little boy and I said your scarf is so cool did mom get you this scarf and the boy said yes she did and she got me these gloves too! I said that is so cool You have a really cool mom.. He said to me "No she's fat" I had all I could do not to bust out laughing in this kids face. Danielle I thought of you right away.. Oh and I will be waiting to see what you get this year for Christmas. You always get the bestest gifts..

Just back from DD(12)'s chorus concert! it was fun and relaxing. SHe had a solo! She had to audition for it. She was so proud that she got the solo and she did so well. Then we get home and the phone rings and dd(16) answers and says it's some man looking for her parents. Well the man is her math teacher and I think oh no! Well he says he was just calloing to let me and DH know what a pleasure it is to have my DD in class, because she works so hard and has such a good attitude. It's an honors class and is very difficult and he says that having kids like her as his students makes teaching so rewarding.

My heart is singing. WHat a great day!

WOOF WOOF, er.... Hi everybody. Roxie and Allie here. We just wanted to say MERRY CHRISTMAS. Mom and Daddy took us for our first ever visit to see SANTA CLAUS. It was soo neat. We told him we've been good girls this year, and asked for lots of bones and toys. Anyway, we'll let daddy have the keyboard again.... oh btw... Here is our picture.

I sure hope the limey who gets my gift won't be too upset that it will not arrive until after the "big" day. Seems the postal service is VERY behind due to the $$. Lots of folks are ordering things and getting them sent here from the States creating a huge backlog.

I didn't say the lights look pretty I'm hoping that by adding the ornaments, you can't tell how pathetic it really is.

My kids are calling it our Charlie Brown tree....I'm thinking we are getting a new one next year.

I knew my tree was getting sadder each year until i looked at the pictures 2 years ago and my jaw dropped That thing was wickedly ugly. SO my b-day present for the next year? A TREE! It is gorgeous pre-lite and amazing. I love that thing and it fills the room.

Well he says he was just calloing to let me and DH know what a pleasure it is to have my DD in class, because she works so hard and has such a good attitude. It's an honors class and is very difficult and he says that having kids like her as his students makes teaching so rewarding.

Ran into debbie on another thread and she told me I should pop in. So HI!!!

Not alot going on lately- I moved finally, been doing fine with my roomate. working at sears now. Having fun calling the cops on a regular basis on disrespectful neighboors. Like the ones play rap music now at 11 pm. GRR. Well, I dont know what else to tell ya-all. We got a new kitty now LOL
