Oh my gosh you are the absolute best. Thanks so much for going out of your way. My kids would absolutely love that place. And you are right about the ropes. All three of my kids are climbers. It was no problem.... the kids had fun pointing out things that I HAD to take a picture of.....it was a mission, and we even completed it before daddy came home!!!

I really had no idea there was a Sesame Street land, but thinking about it, I'm not surprised. My kids would have loved that when they were little. Here I am talking like they're already completely grown. My 6 year old is so mature for her age She's already outgrown the little kid stuff and even told me just the other day that she's getting "a little old for princesses and stuff, mom" Whaaaaat??!! I think my DS liked Sesame Street until he was at *least* six or seven, and she's already outgrowing Disney princesses? Puh-lease! She asked me when she's going to get a cell phone. I just laughed. Sorry, honey, you might be 15 in your delusional little brain, but I am STILL your mother!

With all the talk of SS and with so many of you being yankees and all, can anyone give me the 411 on Hershey? I've wantd to go for awhile but can one build a weeks vaction around it and seeing the surrounds? Does it compare to say "kinds Dominion" ? (anyone been there? Near Richmond....)

Boy, I hear you there - my 7 yr old can barely stand to even watch a minute of SS on tv with his little brother - a whole day of it might do him in!!!

I have only been to hershey once....price was pretty good, but I really wasn't impressed enough to go back( it is like a 2 1/2 hour drive). I have never been to kings dominion(but I really want to!!!!) so I can't compare them.

Actually, I skipped on over to the Parks/Attractions board and I am reminded why I am posting on the Welcome board...It started out as a thread discussing the opening of some new Nemo rides later this year, and, it only took one page to become a knock-down-drag-out tussle.....

Think the current clique scandal is in regard to the test thread...of which I am a contributor. I jumped in on that thread the same as on this one...current topic was of interest to me & I was off to the races. I've felt nothing but welcome on both threads, even though both were well established before my discovery. Some people will never be happy unless they're ruining someone else's fun.

Thanks for your kind words. Nope, don't mind you shortening my name at all. In fact, you can even shorten it to Cyn, as that's what I'm used to IRL.

I PMed you with the URL for linking the respect smilie (btw, I will do this for anyone if they want it just PM me). Of COURSE you must have it - you're the one who came up with our "clique's" motto: RESPECT THE LIME!

I think this is the one you are talking about-actually bashing ANTI-cliques, or people whining about how "cliquey" some threads are. A comparison to church is made in the opening rather long rant.....

Teresa, I really think they were talking more about cliques on the CB (though I do think, according to their criteria, that we qualify), but we're so nice here I can hardly see how they'd be venting about us. Besides, this is the welcome board. I think most CBers never even check in over here, as this board is mostly for newbies and the CB is populated more by people who consider themselves "established" DISers. That doesn't apply across the board, of course, but I think it's probably why we're somewhat out of that loop. But if we become famous and get mentioned by name, I'd love to see the posts.
