Been looking for a new(used) Disney game for the Gameboy Advance so my daughter will have another thing to keep her busy on the 5 hour flight. My son *thinks* he's going to be occupied for 5 hours with his iPod, but I beg to differ. So, today, he saw a suduku book he liked and I bought it for him. I am also encouraging him to bring a book. For DD, I already have a Crayola art pak, a Kim Possible book, an MP3 player, and the Gamboy, of course. I also have two packs of mini playing cards and the electronic 20 questions game from Target. For myself, I am bringing a novel. This is not to mention that DH and I will both have our laptops and we have seats on both flights with the power outlets. :lmao: I hope we are covered in terms of eliminating 10 hours of boredom! :sunny:

Starting next year...YOU CAN PLAN my trip!!!! My luggage is matching...Thanks to the fine people at A&P! My plans on the flight down is to swallow a valium before I board the plane...and tell my Nephew "Dont bother anybody...and dont kick the seat in front of you...wake me up when we land in Orlando"!

Sudoku :thumbsup2 More addicting then these boards!!!

My DS just graduated, he's a ::cop: I prefer liberate, sounds more genteel.

I am humbled by Cynderella's organization skills, even storage crates & matching luggage.:faint:

Yonz guys aren't picking on the Villas are 'ya? Did you know you can rent a Villa on weekdays for less than the Values cost? WDW has raised rack rate almost 10%/year since 2003...disturbing IMO, especially since the AP rates are few & far between.
I have to say that I was amazed that for another $20 a night (CM discount, remember), we could have a 1000 sq ft OKW villa over a 400 sq ft BC standard room. We don't like to be right on top of each other all the time, for sure. After considering that, there really wasn't much of a choice. I know some people like the hotel experience, and I totally respect that, but we're a homey sort of group that appreciates that whole condo/kitchen/dining room/patio/balcony thing. To be really relaxed, we need to feel like we're at home. We really don't take many vacations, and on this one we're determined to be as relaxed as possible.

Well, get over here, DISUNC, if you're volunteering. More vacation planning time for meeee! (I suspect with 20 days to go, you don't have time, either. :sunny: )

:thumbsup2 I am renting a car so we will just stop at a Supermarket down there!

We used to go to the Winn Dixie just a little passed DTD... but I heard that they closed down... is that true? :confused3

I'm sure there's lotsa places to go... but we liked it there (especially after my DD saw the movie..lol).

Even Walmart isn't far... but I don't remember if they have a supermarket at that one.

Speaking of Walmart and your 'friendly' guy there... I was assuming you were talking about E'burg one since you're almost within walking distance. But I was at the one in Wilson last night, and there was an EXTREMELY friendly, nosey, older gentlemen, who not only commented on how many bags we had, but also followed us over to the game section and cheered my DD on while she was trying to grab some stuffedin's with the claw.
Couldn't be the same person, could it?

I think Walmart searches out this type of person... that's if there are no illegal aliens to be found

Here's how pre-obsessive I am about needing to be packed and ready on time. There are 29 days until our trip and my entire upstairs landing has already been devoted to stuff that must go with us to WDW (picture's a little blurry, sorry):

Every time I buy something we're bringing or think of something new that needs to be packed, I put it with the rest of the stuff. I think this is a good plan and so far it has minimized my stress. I'll only have four days after the summer semester ends to get organized, so I figure if I get started early, I will be able to enjoy my vacation instead of being

before I even get there. Oh, and no, I'm not taking those two stacks of towels on the counter. lol

Woooo Your Highness!! Organized doesn't begin to describe you... lol. I'm leaving in 2+ days and I'M NOT PACKED YET!!!. At least we did get the luggage up from downstairs though. Looks a lot like yours..lol (without the 2 stacks of towels ;) )

Don't be makin' like I'm :snooty: about my room...only about my coffee. :teeth:

I can't say I'm a coffee 'snob'... everyone knows WDW missed the coffee 101 class, but I am really addicted to my Keurig coffee maker and coffee. I like the Newman's Own xtra bold and Timothy's Rainforest Nut xtra bold coffees.. and I will seriously miss them for 17 days :(
I used to do the bean, grind, brew.. then CLEAN, every morning! Now I swear my coffee is better, and I don't clean a thing! The coffee-god created Keurig.

On an side note... I beg you to NOT allow DISUNC to grade your student's papers. I would beg this even if you taught kindergarten!
No offence DISUNC... ya know I love ya! But even I, brooklyn raised only a few blocks from you.. have trouble reading your posts! :confused3

OK...pixiedust112 has kept telling me that I have to read this thread... so I feel I have been reading for hours, but I am so glad I have. My face hurts from smiling. I even took a break and went to our local Lowes and lifted big lime green paint samples. My daughter traced a mickey candle and cut them out. So as thanks, pixiedust112 and lizzieswan1022, we have some for you too for our up coming trip this Friday.....Thank you all (especially disunc) for all the laughs. I hope to become a member someday :cloud9:

I just found this and had to share!
