Ok , I haven't been on here for 1 day. 1 day I tell you. A mere 24 hours..... I missed 6 pages!!!!
Whew! You guys are exhausting!
But I learned that we will have great mother/daughter TR's coming soon...

Tara is going to adopt all of us and take us to disney in Nov '07...
Bears are forgetful and like to set up 'bear traps'...
One should give kids anything electronic to keep them busy in the car, unless you want to spring for a brick or styrofoam wall....
Don't tell DisUnc that I went to Lowe's....

The Nick hotel should be full of sponge heads.....

And we have alot of coffe snobs......

I am confused about the subject. But hi everyone!

i'm sure DISUNC will have a better (longer) explanation, but here goes.

When going to disney one frequents Home Depot (AKA HD) and swipes the "alien green" mickey head paint samples (AKA LGMHs) these are then decorated and displayed proudly in your room window, on your person or on a bag, etc to show the world you are a member of the DIS.

and if you're lucky, you'll see other Lime Green Mickey Heads too!

My DH just got home.
He went to HD to get an air conditioner for his mom.
He just handed me 27 LGMHPC's!!!!
He told me he still doesn't 'get it', but that he has now done his part.
I'm so proud....almost as proud as when my DD's wanted to get us all lime green shorts, t'shirts, socks and sneakers.... (they actually found all of this in Sears)

Oh my....when we go on 36 hour straight car trips with our DS8 and DS6 we pack lots of books and listen to music and play car games and talk and sing songs and eat carrot sticks and raisins and talk and sing songs...I feel so sorry for those families that have to rely on electronic devices to distract their children for a car trip.............so sad...

OK, the TRUTH...

I load up the little buggers with as much electronic fun that I can afford...Gameboys, DVD players, whatever it takes...I pack on a sugar buzz with candy, cookies, juice boxes, whatever they can shove into their mouths so that I don't have to hear that....."ARE WE THERE YET??"" I pack new little toys to amuse, coloring books, whatever, whatever....I don't care if it's not educational, as long as it distracts...We just want it quiet.

I feel much better now, the truth has set me free.

We do this too and it's only a 3 hour plane ride!!

Almost fell off my chair when I read this! I was thinking my DD is such a good girl in the car keeping herself entertained with her gameboy, dvds and such. I got to the "so sad" part, unlike VA-Bear, I was NOT feeling guilty about it. My mind was wandering through some unflattering words for you..lol. Then the realization that you thought you were on the CB explained it ALL!!!

Thank you for the tears (of laughter)... maybe some CB regulars can come over here so they can laugh at themselves!.... NOT.

yeahhhhhhh we packed the night before. because we didn't do laundry till the night before

Here's how pre-obsessive I am about needing to be packed and ready on time. There are 29 days until our trip and my entire upstairs landing has already been devoted to stuff that must go with us to WDW (picture's a little blurry, sorry):

Every time I buy something we're bringing or think of something new that needs to be packed, I put it with the rest of the stuff. I think this is a good plan and so far it has minimized my stress. I'll only have four days after the summer semester ends to get organized, so I figure if I get started early, I will be able to enjoy my vacation instead of being

before I even get there. Oh, and no, I'm not taking those two stacks of towels on the counter. lol

I'll Have you know that back in my VALUE resort we HAVE 2 Toilets!!! One for use and one for Show! YES I admit that I oft times become confused with all this Hoity Toity Toiletry!

LOL! Now, DISUNC, you know we wouldn't be staying in a villa without DH CM Prince Charming's CM discount. We are able to go for the "big space" room because of that. We seriously considered POP at first, but then realized that it wouldn't be a successful vacation if we all killed each other before we ever got home (because ain't NO WAY the four of us can share two double beds for a whole week). If you want to hear the story sometime about how my DH sleeps *diagonally* in a king size bed and I have to kick him over to the other side EVERY night, I have no problem telling it.

Don't be makin' like I'm about my room...only about my coffee.
