I found some nice lime green bucket hats for the kids. I certainly don't think I'll be a loosin' them at the parks with those on their precious heads. Humm, along with their lime green shirts, AlienGreen Mickey heads attached - ah, the joys of being a little insane.

That's true! But, I always go to Disneyland. DH has a blue card so we go pretty much whenever we want. On the other hand, I'm particularly excited for this trip because I'm taking my parents, who haven't been there for nearly 20 years (since my youngest brother - who is now 31 - was young enough to need chaperoning). Last time they were there, there was no DTD! No DCA! No parking structure instead of a vast land-wasting parking lot! No a million other things! They will hardly recognize the place and I can't wait to see the looks on their faces. Yay!

Okay, so I've read the entire thread, page after page, and I'm laughing my way through and I've also told the DH that we have to go to HD today for my paint samples. The only thing I've missed along the way is how you adhere these to your door???? And do they come back off easily??? Don't want to do any damage to the ASMu!

Well, I'm not sure how others do it, but I plan to use that stick-tack stuff. I got a pkg of it at the dollar store, but am also sure it can be found at just about any hardware store as well. It's kind of like a cross between gum and putty (dunno what it is actually made of, but this is what the consistenncy reminds me of) and it works sorta like double stick tape in that you can put it on the back of something you wanna stick and it will stick to whatever you press it against. Sticks well, but comes right off when you're ready and without damaging most surfaces. If you've ever bought those glow-in-the-dark stars or planets that are supposed to go on a kid's bedroom ceiling, this is what they give you to stick 'em on. It's ingenious stuff and perfect for something like sticking green mickey heads up in your resort room - or on the door. Have fun!

I'm so excited! DH waltzed right into Home Depot and came strolling back out 2 minutes later with 6 limegreenmickeyheads! And get this....he even stopped to ask a store employee if they cost anything (they have a bar code on the back)! He kills me! But nevertheless, I got 'em! And now thanks to ya'll I know how to stick em or hang em. And my good friend Elemusing (who is going with us on this trip) and does not have the privilege of having a Home Depot in her area, will also have some limegreenmickeyheads too! Group hug!

I just picked up Self Laminating LUGGAGE TAGS in Wal-Mart! (in the stationary section) I will PROUDLY place my limegreenmickeypaintchip in one of these, and hang'em from the door knob!!!!!

Boy things have changed since my first trip in 2002. At the time is said to wear a lime green ribbon. Of course I couldn't find one lime green so I got the closest color. Didn't meet any DISers on that trip. I had just found the boards so I didn't have time to read about everything.

I guess I better hit the Home Depot before our trip and gets some "green ears" made up. Not sure about the hotel door though, DH will think I have really gone crazy with that one.

I just managed to swipe all 37 of the alien green heads at my HD...the paint guy didn't have anything better to do then watch me walk around the paint department and the second he turned away.....SNAP...they were gone (and so was i!)

it always feels like an undercover mission when i go.


BTW, i work an airport coffee shop, so i sport my green mickey ALL the time!
it's extremely hard to watch people go to WDW EVERYDAY.
