Good morning, everyone! Sounds like most everyone had a great Christmas, us too, at least until Rick got sick yesterday. He spent the afternoon being a bear (we really didn't realize how bad he felt though until around 5pm) and the evening with flu symptoms, poor guy. Kelly, my nephew got GH3 and XBox 360 for Christmas, and we spent a few hours taking turns playing that, it is FUN!!! Cody is REALLY REALLY good at it, was getting through the songs with 90% + from his first time. My sis and I both seemed to want to play too early, which kinda messed us up... but I was up to 77% by my second try... The girls got DS's this year, and Catie got Hannah Montana game so we have heard a few guitar parts from that yesterday too... Meagan got Ratatouille and Pokemon Pearl, Catie got Hannah and Petz Dogz 2, and then they got Little Mermaid game to share between the two of them.

Mr. O! That picture reminded me of a conversation I had with BIL on Christmas Eve. He is from New Orleans. I asked him about the bonfires. He'd never heard of them. I swear he thought I was making it up. Exactly where are these held? He did say there were always images of 8 alligators leading Santas sleigh in Louisiana, so I got a good laugh when I saw the Christmas alligator you posted!:rotfl:

The bonfires are built on the levee in and around the small towns of Lutcher, Convent, and Gramercy. There are some across the river just north of Vacherie (near Oak Alley), and they do a few in Port Allen. They're closer to Baton Rouge than they are to New Orleans. They're about a half hour drive south of BR, along River Road. Here is a link to a story & video on the local news: Bonfires

Most of LA Santa images I've seen have Santa in a pirogue (flat bottomed boat), being pulled by 8 alligators.

I'd like to hear the long version please!:teeth:
Me too!!!! (Although i think i already know most..)
Hope everyone had a fantabulous Christmas! We did! I really thought I'd get on here sometime during the day to wish everyone a

:lmao: I'm not sure it's too family friendly.

I know my response when I saw her walking in the door wasn't.

I told my aunt that if she mentions my BIL at all...I was physically going to put her back out that door.:rolleyes1

Heather...sorry about the ILs....that's not good.

But know that you are NOT alone. I could write a book about my family. Actually a series. with many, many, many volumes :teeth:
Thanks!

I'm glad you had a nice Christmas! Hope Rick is feeling better today.

I think I fell asleep around that time too, I was sooo exhausted.

Me too!

I saw that calendar at the mall and almost got it for him!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I was asleep by 10:30. At 10:00 I told the girls it was time to turn off Wii and get some sleep. Luckily everyone is sleeping right now (except DH, he has to work today) so I am not listening to High School Musical songs over and over again!
Ds got a ipod holder that allows him to take the ipod around water. Yesterday we were treated to ds in concert in the shower--- this time with music not just accapella. He also got an ipod karoake machine, so we've been hearing that all day too.

Kristi-- Hope Rick feels better soon.

I got the joy of going to the dentist today, then walking around Target with a numb upper lip complete with plenty of stares. :guilty: Back to work for the next 2 days-- 1/2 days only thankfully. Boy that break went very quickly.

Okay, here is my first attempt at adding a pic, this was at DTD right after the BBB on 12/13.

You did it!!!! and VERY cute pic BTW! My sister just announced they are taking their first trip to WDW and will do BBB - my neice will just die. I am excited since, w/my boys, no BBB for us.

Great pictures Kristi. The girls are gorgeous!
Thanks! By the way, do you know how I can pull a pic from Photobucket to use for my avatar?? I am not very good at this yet... the pic on my hard drive is too big for the avatar, but I can't figure out how to get the pic from photobucket that has been resized back to my hard drive or how to pull it directly to the Dis menu...

Thanks! I thought they looked great, but next time we go, I don't think we do BBB with Meag, as she wanted to go swimming almost instantly afterwards. :lmao: We made her wait until after dinner with Cinderella at 1900 Park Faire, but as soon as we got back to the room, she was pulling the tiara and everything out of her hair and putting on her suit, and she spent the last hour or 2 of the evening in the pool, mostly underwater, needless to say her BBB was gone... I am thinking that the next time she can have them thread the beads in her hair, instead, that way it won't matter if she swims, cause ya can't keep the girl out of the water! She swam for at least 15 or 20 minutes EVERY day we were there except for Friday when we were at MK at rope drop and then back to the hotel long enough to pick up the bags and get on the bus to the airport only. She LOVES the pool... actually I am not sure that the pool wasn't her favorite thing of the whole trip!

Thanks for the info I'll pass it along. I did tell BIL I thought it might have been closer to Baton Rouge...and your right he did say a boat and not a sled.:thumbsup2

Sorry I haven't been on much you guys. I had to take another shower. I asked my mom to put my hair up in a high ponytail because I was too lazy. She said yes, but she felt my hair and said, "Honey, if you brushed your hair with this brush; you might as well put a whole can of Crisco Shortening in it, then nothing would change!" She pushed me into the bath and scrubbed my head really hard. Ah.... Where Are The Simple Joys of Maidenhood....
