Welcome Rebecca!!!!!!!!! Many LGMHPC Wishes to you!!!!!
Yes family swiping is a must !!! My DS9 is a pro at it! Anything for mom!!! I went out yesterday and bought lots of laminating stuff. From badge tags to luggage tags for the strollers. Guess I need to take another trip to HD today!!!!!!!! Best of luck Rebecca!!! You'll have a blast here! Have you ever been to Disney at Christmas? We went in 2004. An experience everyone should have!! Absolutely the best !!!!!!!! Teresa

Thanks for the welcome!! DD11 is also a pro at paint chip swiping - I'm beginning to worry about her! But anything for the cause, right? My Wal-Mart carrys all sorts of self-laminating stuff, so I'm going to start stocking up! I really like the poster idea, gonna have to figure out how to work that one out LOL! I've never been to WDW at Christmas, and I'm really looking forward to it. We are going the week before the crowds get huge (and it is still value season! :dancer: ) We are going to try to make it back next year (2007) for the food and wine festival for our anniversary - a kid free vacation WOO HOO!!!!!!

Becca, A kid free Disney Trip I am so jealous. When my husband and I got married I already had my oldest son from my first marrage so he went on our honeymoon with us! Oh well one day!!!!!! Teresa

All I can say is thank God for grandparents!!!!! Or else we would never be able to get away on our own. Although it HAS been a couple years since we had a "grown-up" vacation!

I can't imagine a night wihtout my kids - much less a whole vaction!! Now, dont get me wrong ..... I CAN and DO fantasize about it... but cant imagine it really happening.....so sad.

Just a weekend a way would turn me into a whole new bear!!!!

I absolutely love Disney at Christmas. My mom and I took the kids in Dec of 04 and We had so much fun. It is absolutely beautiful. I love all the Santa's in Epcot. I spent way too much that trip. My mom said I broke her. My DD was only 2 months old when we went. My favorite memory was Chip and Dale going crazy over her. I got lots of Pics of that one. Your whole family will have a blast. Are you going to the Very Merry Christmas Party? It is so worth it. My son loved the free cocoa and cookies. We even got a pic of all of us. It wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. Teresa

I know what you mean about not being away from the kids. Maybe we can take a trip together in our own little world without kids! After all Dreams do come true even if its only in our Dreams !!!!!!!! Teresa

Must check in more often, can't keep up w/you youngins...

Cliff Note version:

metal pin backs good, rubber stink

Nick hotel is pricey, has lousy reviews but, looks way cool to me

Xmas @ WDW is great - natch!:thumbsup2 Osborne lights are incredible, wear your shades.

HD has - LGMH? no way! They've been out the last 2 times I drove over 40 miles to "pick a few up".:drive: Wonder if I can order them on-line?

Dis Unc - having babies is "catchy"...1st an Unc, then a Pa! More the merrier to drag to WDW IMO.

St Augustine is north of I4 off I95 - it is about 30 min south of Jacksonville. I believe you will be heading south on I95 to go to Cocoa Beach. DH and I spent our honeymoon in St Augustine, and it is one of our most favorite places in the world (honestly tied with WDW on the obsession scale). If you are into history at all, it is like the holy grail! It has been a continuously occupied city for over 500 years, it is older than the Jamestown colony. The reason it doesn't get the "press" that Jamestown gets is because it was first a Spanish colony, then British, then Spanish again, before becoming part of the US. It is truly a fascinating place.

(Sorry for the mini-history lesson, but I am truly passionate about this place, same as I am with WDW!!!)

Becca

Becca, Thanks for the history lesson. Sounds like a must do but sadly not this trip sounds like.

So observant!!!! However PLEASE NOTE this also....DISUNC COULD wear one...quite nicely ! However There is a list of secret MAN RULES. On that list @ #14 is REAL MEN NEVER WEAR SPEEDOS!!!!!

It just is!

And we thank you very much! party: Now if you could only pass that handbook out to more of the male population! ;)

Maybe it could be attached to a passport application for all of those europeans etc. So they would know our opinions of their speedos.

Woke up to rain here in sunny southern colorado. Go figure. 3v3 cancelled. No trip out of town. No new hd. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Sick kid still sick. Off the weekend doctor office. Kaching Kaching $$$$$.

Thank heavens for you all here to keep me laughing. On the bright side. No new coyote sightings. I think I showed him.

HMo2 Do your boys play house or Travel? We play squirt house. With 3 kids I can not travel. My DS9 is doing basket ball camp during the day baseball and soccer games and practice in the evening and this week starts hockey camp so we will be going from camp to camp to games! Bad week this week. I hope my husband doesn't work any overtime this week so he can help out. My DS3 skates once a week to learn. I will definately be ready for a vacation after this month. I am also a huge fan of febreeze. I am terrible I wash my kids stuff and use lots of downy too. Can't stand the smell. During the winter we keep the stuff in the basement so I use lots of lysol in the air as well. I feel your pain!!!!!!!!!! Teresa

We have a really small league so we only have travel. Our league does the mountain travel so we go to aspen, vail, breckenridge and steamboat each year. Fortunately we have a few teams in colorado springs and denver that are in our league also. Oldest son is mite but he'll probably be moving up to squirt B this year. Youngest is second year minimite. Fortunately our little minis only had to go to springs and denver for games and tourneys. Sounds like hockey is life at your home too. Don't you just love it. Don't know about your kiddos but mine talk, do and think hockey year around. Soccer and baseball and lacrosse are just things to occupy time between hockey end and hockey start. We really only take about 6 weeks off in the spring otherwise they are skating pretty much year around or they would go crazy.

Yeah we take the end of june and all of august off. Although we do go open skating. Hockey is really big around here. Lots of teams to choose from. His spring team took the district championship. First one since minimites. We will probably stay with this time for the fall. Unfortunately my son is in the inbetween teams. Most of the kids his age play travel and we can not do it. Its usually just me and with my DS3 starting I already spend 6 days a week at the rink. But like you said I love it. You become one huge family! Although nothing compares to our LGMHPC family! Teresa

Is everyoen here free Next August? Before the 20th!? Magical Gathering discussion officially starts now!
