Ohhhh, cleaning - man, I SOOO need to do that! I"m not a big fan but this house has gotten . I was gonna take 2 days off last week to do that and then decided I'd better work to get some data for our grant that is due March 15th....I'll take a couple of days after that. Cool that your momos coming - how long is she staying? I hope ya'll have fun!

Ok so we all know that we're going to WDW in August. Well, this year, we invited 2 friends along. They are a childless (not by choice) couple that have been our friends for years. The DH is just as picky as I am, but his DW seems to make it sound much worse! The guy can adapt, but she'll just appease him I guess. Well, we are all going in one car...mine. We are taking my Navigator and going, because like DH said, it would be too much to follow each other down there. I do most of the driving, but stop VERY often because I can and the rest are sleeping. So we are going for 2 weeks, they decide that they don't want to go for the 2 weeks because it would be crazy once the DH returns to work! Ok, we've been there, and understand. So they want to rent a car to come home in, because we aren't leaving for another week after that. So I pull up online how much it will be the cheapest was $250.00 So I tell my DH and he says, that's not even including the over 100.00 in gas. HOWEVER, if they fly home, I can get them a flight for $215.00 into NY. Which is not bad at all. That is the cheapest. BUT the DH is deathly afraid of flying. So I told DH is really would be best for them to take their own car, and he agreed, passed on the word to the DH and he said Oh wow you're right. But the DW says, I can get it for under $100.00 with a corporate discount I tried. I used a friends ID to get the discount rate, just to sample the rates. Once you leave the state YOU"RE DONE! DH suggested that we cut our vacation short. Sorry Charlie, NOPE! I'm selfish, and its not happening, which would also mean I don't get to hang with all of you the 25th. Nope..not doing it. And I said this, and I said, its they bite the bullet and pay that amount, he gets on a plane and deals with it, or they take their own car. Well, I have to really talk with them tomorrow, but when it was suggested they take their own car, they were going to rent one anyway. Not sure how that would work out, but whatever. I now have to call her in the AM, so maybe she can get a better discount with Enterprise that rips ya off to begin with, since they do a lot of work for them. We'll see, but I see a kink in my plans. DARN!

Way to put your foot down Would hate to not get to see ya in August.

Spirit was giving me a higher price. Jet Blue has better pricing. The only thing is...he will NOT fly. The only other thing I am going to try is renting a car here in NJ, for a week and see what that gives me. They will have to take their own car.

Hey danielle i was thinking of you today

Hey, and I just happened by! I was thinking of you this week. One of my students was trying to sound out c-a-t. He got each letter sound, but couldn't put it together. I told him it was a word, so try to think of what word sounded like that. He said, "Oh yeah, when there's stuff on the floor, that's cr@p!" I laughed out loud. I couldn't help it.

Yes....me the honors student got as smart as a 4th grader..lol

I got the 5th grader score online, but when I watch the show, the math questions throw me. I taught third grade last year, so I can do up to 3rd grade math, no sweat. It's those 4th and 5th grade geometry questions that make me Why do I need to know the area of a triangle anyway?

lol are you guys going with pd to dw next month?

Sadly not....Since we came home early from there in February...my husband had to have a big eye surgery and cannot fly for a while. We really don't mind driving 24 hours to get there...but he can't do that either for a while. I even checked the train and it would cost each passenger a round trip of at least $600.00. So we will have to wait for summer. Ugh!
