I literally had to wrestle with a student today. He was trying to run away from school, and when I held him, he tried to bite me.

It was a night when there was a corporate party (IBM) in the park, so they shooed people out early, but then you could buy a ticket to go back in. DH and I decided to kill time at the old Monorail Cafe.

A lot of people had the same idea, so the cafe was really crowded. We decided to sit at the counter.

 

[dwheatl]

There was an empty stool next to me, and a fellow sat down.

 

[dwheatl]

We started chatting, and he told me he was from Alaska. I said that sounded like an interesting place to live.

 

[dwheatl]

He told me some stuff about living there, then said there was a shortage of women, like 1 woman for every 10 guys.

 

[dwheatl]

He told me he'd been in an accident in Alaska, and had gotten a settlement of several million dollars.

 

[dwheatl]

Now he'd come to CA to look for a wife.

 

[dwheatl]

I wished him luck with that.

 

[dwheatl]

That's when he asked me if I'd like to marry him and move to Alaska. He said we'd be very wealthy because of his settlement.

I said I couldn't because I was already married.

 

[dwheatl]

I introduced him to my husband.
