Algebra is hard, thank you, and if only my mom would see that it's not bad if I can't get EVERY SINGLE "A"!! I'm Not perfect like people must think I am..

Are you doing your best and working hard? That's the rule with my kids. A grade of C is ok if you worked your hardest top get that C....but a B is only ok if you worked your hardest to get that B. If you get a B, but you slacked off and should have had an A, then PD112 is tres unhappy!

Well, speaking as a parent, I can tell you that C's are for average kids and I think my kids are better than that. If DD1 and DD2 are giving it their best effort( doing homework, asking me for help or going to tutoring) I can live with a B but I still push for A's. My parents knew nothing of class rank and how it effected getting into collage. I learned about that my SR. year and it was Waaaaaaayyyy to late to move up. All the work it takes to be in upper level classes is worth it in the end. I wish someone one had explained all of that to me. But since I was the only guy to finish High School, and the only child still at the house when they finished. I think they were pretty happy with that.
Not only do we(parents) want you(our children) to have better "things" than we did we want you to have a better opportunity than we did. (sorry Dad mode took over)

Oooooo, how cool!!! I need to get a good Disney tape.....yes, I said tape. (OK, no harrassing needed... I'm still trying to get over all the heck I got for not having Tivo!) My 3 yo even asked me the other day why I dont have a cd player in my car like daddy does?! I had to explain not all of us bought our cars in THIS century!

I DO plan to get a new car WITH cd player soon!

(Mazda 5 baby, here I come!!! )

Tape...Tape... We have Disney tape! We bought it at the gift shop at POR to hank up our LGMHPCs on our door......Oh that kind of tape...they still make those???

When school starts, these sports try-outs come up so fast.... I know Winnie has some friends that missed tryouts for things too...other sports will come up tho and you can always do cross country next year!
