Ahhh sorry for dd, that's got to be sooo hard! :grouphug: Next time you're awake at 2 image your self snuggling with a darling little baby boy Pookums! Imagine smelling his clean hair & baby scented sweetness. (don't think about him screaming his lungs out while waiting for a bottle, in between burps, or when getting his skivvies changed :sad2: ). Listening to his squeaking while he's drinking (I swear it sounds like he's either imitating a rocking chair or the 3 stooges-- it sounds like "hey-what, hey-what, etc...." in a really high pitched voice-- if he ever says "hey Moe I'm gonna :faint: ) Maybe that will help you relax enough to go to sleep!
i made a shirt with POOKUMS on it when i was in college. I dont think it'll fit him... and it has a drawing of a pouting girl on it (could it be me???)

Note on Ohana: Great food but if your kids won't eat what is the norm there, there is no kids meals. They can get it for you, but it will still cost 11.99 or a kids credit...for a cheese burger & fries!!! :bitelip:

Note on Hddr: food is good, DS (10)had a good time cause other boys his age there to hang with and he & Teresa DS got to sit upstairs with scuba & her son. My dd (7) and Teresa's 2 were bored silly and wiggled all over the place. Not even sure she got to eat much. Be warned! also felt a bit rushed there to eat and go.

Yeah, my kids wouldnt eat anything at Ohana but they did bring us really yummy mac and cheese and a huge plate of fresh fruit (!!! pineapple, etc.!!!) - the boys went nuits and they didint charge extra.

At HDDR both boys loved the show (even the 3 yo...wondered about that..) but we were pretty much in the middle of the action, which I think helped. We also asked for mac and cheese there - ofcourse they LOVED the strawberry shortcake at the end!!!

:sunny:

Accounting department ... UPDATE: whilst on a legit trip to Home Depot (wanted to buy a fake squirrel to drive the dog crazy  ) I heard some faint whimpering. Slowly, ever so quietly i slinked over to the paint section and found out the problem. Oh so many ::MickeyMo and no one to take them home. Several sections were like JAM packed full so that the poor little things were spilling out onto the floor. I just knew I had to rescue some. I mean how cruel would it be to turn my back on that sad song? So 22 greeny babies and 12 blue babies found a cozy home in my pocket -- they will match my luggage better.

SO 22 aliens
&
12 bluies have moved into the comfort of my home. :cool1: :thumbsup2

HI Mary! i want to borrow your lil pookums. he sounds so cute. In fact he sounds just like Em did when she was a newborn. Both kids slept in a cradle on John's side of the bed until they were about 3 months old (no more middle of night feedins) Ok so Ben never did eat at night -- I guess when you weigh 10 lbs at birth and nurse ALL DAY you can go 6 hours without eating again. So back to the cradle, John tied a receiving blanket to one of the rungs and whenever there was a whimper he would just yank on it! Swing swing swing ... back to sleep. Except once she was hungry LOOK out. But we had that pattern down to an art. We use playtex nursers (I was too ill to feed her). Brought it up to bed filled with the correct amount of water. A small tupperware container held the formula powder. SO whilst one of us whipped the diaper offa her, the other made the bottle. She was the monster gobbler. I swear she would down 4ounzes in under 5 minutes you could hear the gulps! One huge burp that would put most truckers to shame and then fall back to sleep. Start to finish, less than 10 minutes! I miss those days -- well not really we still haffa remind her that burping is not a contest nor is it lady like :lmao:

Oh no, everything is on my side! I'm constantly reaching out rocking the baby. We have the enfamil cans that you add water too. So you make up a bunch of bottles at a time. You cannot change him until atleast 1/2 way thru or more because he's busy making you a present! ;) Then he'll finish what's left. Then he's got have about 15 minutes just to look around & stuff. All with burps in between. Then he decides he's ready to sleep until I lay down then he cries--rotten boy. This whole eat, burp, change, burp, eat, burp, gaze, sleep process takes about an hour. This happens about 3 times between 10p.m. & 6 a.m. Sometimes he spaces it apart, most times he goes for whatever is most disadvantagous to me! :rotfl: I have a bottle frig/warmer on my side--life saver! Sometimes I can dh to do potty! Most importantly you have to watch for his salute because there is nothing worse than a shower in the middle of the night! :rolleyes1

Our good friend and neighbor is a die hard, lifelong yankee fan. On opening day, we were going to put a Mets flag up on his house, but he'd taken down his flag holder. (Iguess it broke) and I just didn't think it would be right to put holes on his vinyl siding to put up a new holder! But I would have loved to see his face when he saw the Mets flag on his house.

I think that would be hilarious. Some people find no humor in this kind of thing but I do. Cody's baseball team was called the Yankees. We came with a red sox hat on and turned the shirt inside out. Funny our coach didn't think this was too funny. :rotfl:

Can you believe its so close!!!!???!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

No Now I'm really starting to stress because there is too much to do but I'm so excited that I can't get off of this computer or the travel channel.

I sponsor a little league softball team. They ended up being the Yankees! So there are little girls all over town wearing Yankee baseball hats with my name engraved on the back! :faint: There's a sight I never thought I'd see! :scared:

We'll we've had all of our excitement for our first day. :faint:

Mom had to run an errand & left house early. I overslept 15 mins-- apparently ds was up, but didn't make sure others were up. :( Had to feed Dobie & then herd my kitten Stinkerbelle into the potty, eating & getting dressed. :hyper: :hyper: (She decided late last night she didn't want to go to school today-sigh).

Had to run around behind all the kids making sure everything that needed to be brushed, washed, and fed was brushed, washed, and fed! Finally got them out of the house. Dh will be taking the 3 kids to school. It of course is pouring down rain. Have to argue with the kids as to what a water proof jacket actually means?!?!

Find out then that Stinkerbelle won't stay in school, finally dh was able to get away leaving her in the care of a girlfriend that's in the same class. Turns out another family from our old school is there too so that's 2 friends for her. :) Then dh tells me someone backed into his car this morning at ds' school!?!?!?! :( Luckily they only tapped him & all was ok! :)

Only 10 more months of this! :scared1: :faint:

Oh and to keep it on topic Stinkerbelle wore her :tinker: backpack!!! :teeth:

Hope everyone else's first day went a little smoother! :teacher:

Umm... well ours was like yours, minus the car bump. Kris decides she doesn't need school anymore. Won't get up. hangs on to the bed tight. Thankfully she slept in Jeff's lower bed so I could reach her. dragged her out and she slumps all over the place. Said she isn't going cause no one will be her friend. I tell her if she doesn't get dressed she is going as she is. (she is wearing one of my sports bras and a pair of underwear..?) she finally lets me dress her, her goal all along.

I finally get the book bags packed, though Kris can't remember where she put her's so she takes a big zip lock bag with what supplies I can find. Out we go, drop her off first, cuase I have heard nothing from Jeff's bus driver or if he even has one. I get her in, she is better and I have to leave her in a teacher assistant's capable hands.

Run Jeff across town to his school. We missed meet the teacher nights due to being in the World. so this is a bit nerve racking for both. All the special Ed teachers moved to other places and he has a "man" teacher. Remember he is bi-polar and ADHD... so we get there, get breakfast, which is free!!!, and then off to meet the teacher. Can tell Jeff is nervous, but he did great!

Both kids did great and Kris still feels she has done enough...but mom rules on this! :thumbsup2 She "will be back" on Monday!

I thought I looked at the menu and saw that they had like chicken. I was thinking that maybe they would eat this. I thought everyone raved about Ohana's being really kid friendly. If I have a picky eater maybe I should see about switching. I guess I need more info. Can I find a menu or can someone tell me some of the things they had on the dining plan? Thanks.

I am a mets fan, but with the amount of Yankee shirts I own from softball, you wouldn't know it at all.
