I got my official last day today.....Aug 23 I am officially out of the US Navy. I have no idea what to think about that yet.

I tell ya what. This last week has been really dragging along. Don't want y'all to think I forgot about everyone here, but I've been busy on my route. I've been putting in 12-14 hour days the past week. Everybody is coming back from vacation and going back to school. Buying tons of food from me to keep on hand now that schools back in session.

We leave 3 nights from tonight Haven't even started packing the suitcases yet. Just haven't had time. Can't stay on too long tonight because I have a dentist appointment in the morning. Wouldn't you know it.... 4 days before vacation and I chip one of my front teeth. Going in tomorrow at 8AM to get it fixed.

This is known as the pre-trip curse. For me, it manifested itself in a broken toe. Hopefully, your tooth will be back up to par after tomorrow and it won't bother you while you're having a good time on vacation.

Thanks for the input - I'm pretty happy with our choices and its the first time for all of them!!! I wonder if I can ask your opinion of the Crystal Palace? It's the only one I'm tempted to change. I originally picked it because we were at MK that day.....but now that I've upgraded to HOPPERS (firs time for them - TOTALLY surprising DH and boys with that! )the options are endless. I think we'll leave Mk mid-afternoon, pool-it for a while and then ???? I'm thinking cancel CP and add Sci-Fi at MGM or???? ACK!!!!!!!!

ps - I would love anyones opinion on this!!!!
(It may be too late to make any changes now anyway....9 days out...)

If you did decide to change, I'm sure you could do it without a problem. Before this year we never made ADRs more than a day (or sometimes even the morning ) before. Now there's only 2 of us.... but, I've read others, of larger groups than 2, doing it too.

My preference is Crystal Palace. It's my daughter's favorite place. It is a totally different atmosphere than Sci-Fi. First off, it's a character meal. All the pooh characters, my DDs faves! (ok.. I've got a weakness for Tigger too ), come to your table and it seems to me they spend more time with you than most other charater meals. It's big and bright, very pretty! The food is buffet, a great variety, and I think it's really very good! We've eaten there the most often of any other place in Disney (yep.. even more than Boma!).
Now given all that info.. it's the ONLY place this year where we had a less than perfect time. But that had to do with the server, not the restaurant. I guess I'll tell that story another time..lol.

Now the Sci-Fi... It's dark inside (well you're watching a movie.. whatya expect!)... and your server is in character. Your kids get licenses (I can't remember what they say at the moment), and they usually get to "drive" too! This is a fun place... food is good too, and dare I say reasonably priced! We had to do this for dinner to get our (dining plan's) money's worth. Apps. main meal and dessert (umm, yummy desserts!) is TOO much for hot days! Though we'd given up on finishing any meal.. or even nearly finishing!

I'd say CP, especially if you're in that park that day. It can be a pain to switch parks just to go for dinner somewhere else. We made that mistake a couple of times.

I really don't think you'd be disapointed either way.

What no Cosmic Rays????

Loved Coral Reef's atmosphere, but the food was just good not great.!

Disney Ambiance at it's FINEST! Food is always a hit or miss there. Ate there too this time...it was a miss!

I know so many people love the CR, but I feel like I'm in a mall. Though the views are beautiful..!

You hit the proverbial nail on the head! I always new there was something I wasn't crazy about in that place...THATS IT! Also I think the wait staff is a bit snooty there! BUT THE VIEW
