:rotfl: In 4th Grade there was a "I hate Jessie Club" the kids (2 in particular.. :stir: :furious: ) Started.. turned ALL my friends against me.. :guilty: Made up rumors and yeah..but guess what!! There my neighbors Now!!!!!! :furious: :furious: :furious: :stir: :sad2: My parents were MAD when all that happened..

Sorry to hear you've had this problem. My dd1 has had the same problem, but not as bad. Alot of it has been her doing, but some hasn't. Luckily she too will be starting a new school in Aug. because her old school closed when we were at WDW (really bummed us out). :guilty: Her old class was mostly boys, this one will be mostly girls which kind of scares me, but again it is a new beginning for her. pixiedust:

Good to hear all is well... and hey when life hands you lemons (or I guess in our case limes) curl up with a good book and a glass of wine... sounds terrific to me. In fact, I'll join you right now! only for me, I'll try to catch up on the million posts I missed in the last few hours!! And then Later I'll read some of that great book I'm reading... "Midwives" by Chris Bohjalian... good book :thumbsup2

I realize I am a little behind... ok ALOT behind, but what do you teach?? :teacher:

Better than expected, though I haven't been off of it as much today as I should be. The foot itself actually doesn't bother me as much as my calf, which is muscular sore from limping, and my twinging back (and, oh god, I do NOT want any sciatica on vacation!!!). SO, I just picked up my novel and a glass of wine and plumped up the lounging pillows on the couch - reading and a nap are in short order. Now that ALL MY GRADING IS DONE (!!!! whee!!!) I plan to spend the rest of my day on my back (no comments, peanut gallery). If only my two kids weren't arguing over Monopoly in the next room, my respite would be complete!

Well I'm at work today trying to not use too much vacation time due to all of this madness when I get a call from the health department. At first I wasn't too concerned because my best friend has a friend that works there and we were asking her some questions. However then it turned into an interview. I asked what was up and she told me that they get a preliminary report from the hospital showing tuleremia (rabbit fever). Now if this turns out to be the case it is very rare. It is something with his 5 different types of antibiotics that he hasn't been treated for. Unfortunately the treatment in kiddos is kind of rough. We are hoping that they will put him on oral medications even though there are some risks to younger kids. If not he'll either have to go back to the hospital for an extensive course of medications either iv or shots and blood draws. I'm so hoping that the risks of the orals are worthy of a trial. So we move from the kitten to the bunnies. Man did I hate all the bunnies before all of this.( whole reason we got a cat)

Cyn good to hear the toe is improving.

Pixie Dust love the pic.

Sorry I just skimmed a little. I'll try and catch up again later on. Going to leave work and have an adult beverage here shortly. :drinking1 Man do I need it.

Long story short, you don't get to make the decisions, and there are times when kids aren't ready to make the ones they need. Us 'rents do our best, but sometimes we can be rock headed too. If you are having some bad problems and they won't listen, :listen: tell someone else. No offense, but you are 2 young to protect yourself in some areas,(emotinally) and I would hate you to have things to look back on that you didn't get help with (like me!) :rolleyes1 Sorry Preaching! No offense again

I hear ya! ::yes:: We live in the city & our public schools stink!!!!! :guilty: We put our son into public school to help him with his dyslexia & adhd--BIG MISTAKE. Our other choice was catholic school. When we finally got to the point that we were fearing for his safety we moved him to catholic school. Best thing we ever did, the school was smaller, everyone knew everyone--loved that. They didn't offer the individual education plan (IEP) that he needed, but they did offer smaller classrooms so he could get some 1 on 1. Our dd1 & now dd2 have been catholic school all the way. This year ds will start high school-- it is very expensive, but this school is definitly the answer to our prayers for him. :woohoo: As I mentioned our other school closed so the girls will be going to a new school. We're kind of excited for the school year to start. Well, actually my ds has been in summer school for the last 3 wks--tomorrow is his last day. They recognize he has special needs so they wanted to give him some extra help & get him acquainted with everything.

Our school year runs from last week of Aug. to first week of June.

It's fine, my school combines at the middle and elementary levels, so I can totally relate to you until sixth. After that things got much better when I found a few friends, who I'm still pals with today. The only reason I'm a sophmore is because I was born in Oct. which means I went into kinder garten when I was four instead of five. My mom put me in then 'cause I'd already done Pre-K, so I was all ready for "the big school". "big school" as if! My HS has like 5 different buildings which all have at least 2 floors!

You're the same age as my son. He was 15 in May though. He was held back in elementary school, but he needed it. My dd2 is starting pre-k 3 this year because she wants to go to school so badly, but she's only doing 1/2 days. The pre-k is in her school that she'll be in until she graduates 8th. DD1 is going into 6th. Since her old school closed I'm glad it happened now because she'll be entering middle school so its again a new start for her.

Wow, I think if there is any excuse for skimming, you have it! Poor Cody!

Well Jessie, I have to say that it most certainly looks teal. However I like the redecorating you have been doing today. I leave for a few hours and everyone is GREEN! :thumbsup2 So whatdya think... should I go green. Tink already has that green dress... err what ever that is. I did like the green witch that you had up earlier... your the expert on this, what should I do?

Teresa, are you going to the campfire one of the nights that we'll be there too? because we were also going to go to one of those, just haven't decided what nite to go on... would that be easier for you or Jessie (are you going to be able to meet up?)

HMo2... I'll buy you one!! :drinking1 I know how hard this must be on the kiddo... but I gotta say that I admire the daylights out of you for sticking through all of this and NOT having a meltdown. The thought of one of my kids being that sick... ahh... You're doing a great job... keep up the good work. :thumbsup2

I made Ariel Lime!! When I save it it loses detail and is teal!
