Well I'm at work today trying to not use too much vacation time due to all of this madness when I get a call from the health department. At first I wasn't too concerned because my best friend has a friend that works there and we were asking her some questions. However then it turned into an interview. I asked what was up and she told me that they get a preliminary report from the hospital showing tuleremia (rabbit fever). Now if this turns out to be the case it is very rare. It is something with his 5 different types of antibiotics that he hasn't been treated for. Unfortunately the treatment in kiddos is kind of rough. We are hoping that they will put him on oral medications even though there are some risks to younger kids. If not he'll either have to go back to the hospital for an extensive course of medications either iv or shots and blood draws. I'm so hoping that the risks of the orals are worthy of a trial. So we move from the kitten to the bunnies. Man did I hate all the bunnies before all of this.( whole reason we got a cat)

You're the same age as my son. He was 15 in May though. He was held back in elementary school, but he needed it. My dd2 is starting pre-k 3 this year because she wants to go to school so badly, but she's only doing 1/2 days. The pre-k is in her school that she'll be in until she graduates 8th. DD1 is going into 6th. Since her old school closed I'm glad it happened now because she'll be entering middle school so its again a new start for her.

Yeah, I went into pre-k when I was 2, but it was 2 years of 1/2 days. I could never stay in the same school from Pre-k till 8th. I would go stir crazy, I need a big school, if only to feel more accomplished whe I can show the NYSSMA judge from the library to the auditorium when I'm at lunch. Plus the food at school isn't that bad, (we have a reg. cafeteria, an italian caf. a snack bar with bagles, fries, nachos etc., and a school store for stuff like chips and snapples.) so I like my school overall.

Try it before you judge it. Really, the only nasty thing my school has is this pasta which has: meatballs, chicken, and several other unidentifiable meatlike sustances. Other than that it's pretty good, awesome mozzerella sticks and they have sausage and peppers too (I don't like sausage though).

But half the things we learn, I will never use again in my LIFE! Please tell me when the next time I will use the fact that I know about the Aztecs, or that x= 26... I'm going to be a chef..PLEASE dont ask..im a dork..and i know volume and measuerments, thats all I'll need.. I appreciate all teachers and all, but I wish we could learn more useful things..

I'll give you the number 1 answer I give my son. What are you gonna do when you're kids come to you looking for help with their schoolwork? Are you gonna encourage them to quit or to go ask someone else or are you going to be there to help them. Also who is going to take care of your bills & provide you with a home if you don't have an education!
