I did get some good pictures of Cody sacked out and of his incision and the nursing staff and the hospital. Poor kid sucks to have a mom who scrapbooks every little detail of their lives.

I can soooooo relate!! :teeth:

I have a good excuse, though...it's in my blood. When DS was born, my Mom sent DH home the second night so she could stay in the hospital room and get started scrapbooking the pictures she had taken the day before!!

Glad to hear that Cody is on the road to recovery!!! :grouphug:

:cool1: :cool1: Dh just upgraded our reservations to WDW. He added on one night, the dining plan, park hopper and water parks plus :cool1: :cool1:

pssssssst...

sorry it took all day, but the trip update is up!

I had to take steve to have an endoscopy today to (possibly) find a name for this thing he has. a real name, not "he throws up every morning like a pregnant woman" which is my name for the disease.

i've spent most of the day escorting him around. and waiting on him (jesus, he's lucky) he's a sleeping baby now, so i had time to catch up.

Enjoy the update!

Hi everyone,

Update on Cody Sick Log day ?????

Sat afternoon we all decided to go to poc2 for youngest (he's a pirate). Drove to another city to go and Cody really started looking kind of bad. He started to run a fever again and his color wasn't so good. Off to the hospital er we went (busiest ER in the state of Colorado).

Got to Er around 6pm and admitted to pediatric unit about 4am. Fun night of torture to be sure. They did another chest xray and echocardiogram. He was diagnosed with a chest mass that night. Pretty much lost my mind. Next morning off to Ct scan. Diagnoses yep it's a chest mass 4cm big but we don't know what it is from. Sunday night off to surgery to remove enlarged lymph node in neck. ENT doc thinks the mass in the chest is a lymph node like the one in the neck but will have to remove lymph node in neck to study since it is the easiest to get to.

Monday and Tuesday: 2 treacherous days of waiting for pathology results. The final pathology of the node is that it is not malignant but possibly has characteristics of Cat scratch disease (our first test for that was negative however).

Cody is pretty much bed bound these two days on Iv antibiotics and fluids. No temps after arrival to floor but getting motrin regularly for surgery pain.

Discharged today since he has had the proper antibiotic treatment for cat scratch disease now and he will just have to recuperate now. He has lost about 6 pounds (only weighed 48 pounds prior). He was a cool looking incision on his neck. (it will send fear and intimidation to opponents in hockey games as it looks like a slash to the neck). We plan on telling people that the pirate got carried away with his sword since we never go out without Brody in his pirate gear.

So that is basically the short of the story. I will try and catch up on the posts this week however I do need to get back to work so we can hopefully go on vacation soon.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

sending you lots of
hopefully recovery will go super fast! :lovestruc

Is THAT where that song came from?!!!!
DS3 came home singing it, and I assumed it was some cute traditional song they taught him at school....it's a BARNEY SONG?!!!!!
Well! Not any more in my house, buddy!!!!! :sad2:

i remember, a few years back, when my sister was into barney (thank goodness that didn't last long) she used to sing that ALL THE TIME. drove me nuts.

She just turned 10. Spongebob is the "cool thing" now. Oh, and she's obsessed with High School Musical

i don't mind so much anymore. Just the barney i wasn't thrilled with. :sad2:

:cheer2: Yay, I can't wait to read it. I am the one related to Lizzy and Pixie and wanted to add how nice it was of you to supply coffee for their trip. We use that airport all the time and the one time we don't, we miss out on meeting you. Maybe next time.

Ok, Pd and I just went to home depot to get MHPC for the advent calander. We dragged my dad and DSIS10 with us. When we got there, we split up, I headed straight for the LGMHPC while mom and DSIS took a roundabout route. Dad just ran. To make a long and potentialy boring swipe short we escaped with 46 LGMHPC, and over 100 non LGMHPC!

high School Musical makes me cringe away in fear and repulsion, but it's not like I have very strong feelings on it or anything.

I have been trying to convince my DH that if we leave one day earlier it would really be ok!! He thinks the world will fall apart if we are gone too long. Well in our lives it just might... however, that one more day isn't too much for me... just one more itty bitty day... a measly 24 hours... would it kill him. Even it out for a full 2 weeks... ahhh.. I still have time to get him to see things my way! :teeth:
