I have been trying to convince my DH that if we leave one day earlier it would really be ok!! He thinks the world will fall apart if we are gone too long. Well in our lives it just might... however, that one more day isn't too much for me... just one more itty bitty day... a measly 24 hours... would it kill him. Even it out for a full 2 weeks... ahhh.. I still have time to get him to see things my way!

I too used to have a DH that thought that way, I have now brainwashed him and the past few winter trips have become eight days, instead of just seven. AAHHH the power of women!!! Well maybe not brainwashed...just wore him down!! Keep going you can make it happen!!!

I was telling Dh that I will have to take a journal along to keep track for my TR's and he just at me. He said he could sum it up easily "We went, had fun, came home" Just like a non DISer to think like that. Obviously I have some more work to do on converting him to our way of thinking

Thanks for the cheering , I really shouldn't complain, last year we went for 10 days and this year it's 13.. I just don't understand why one more day is such an issue. We are driving, so technically, if you count the days we are driving and visting my father on the way back we'll be gone for 16 days... but just one more day. (I think I will always say that!)
