My neighbor girls (5 and 10 ) just brought me a large ziplock bag full of very large shrimp!! Their dad sells it (in huge quantites) and sometimes they give us some...I gotta go now and de-head the little buggers...It's gross, but soooo worth it! Shrimp scampi for dinner tomorrow, anyone want to come over?

I got em' all cleaned and deheaded...that is so disgusting, they have a little spear thingy over their nose that can poke you if you're not careful...and whiskers!!! about 8 inches long. and lots of legs, and that vein thingy, which is really their intestines...are you still with me?? They are ready to go, a little (OK, a lot) butter, some white wine, and BAMM!! lots of garlic...mmm...

glad we couldn't have them today, it takes 24 hours to forget how disgusting it is to pop their little head off...ewwww...

Still want to come?? You and Cyn are the only takers...we eat early-bout 6:00(so the boys don't have time to fill up on snacks!)

What should I have on the side..I was thinking some pasta to pour the extra butter/garlic sauce over?

I don't think my son would agree! He has brittle bone disease and has broken almost every bone in his body. He can tell a storm is coming hours before it hits! Right now he has cronic back pain as his vertabre are compacting on him. The strong meds he is on! And he is only 23! I'll ask him next time i talk to him

I gotta go now..DS6 just brought in (after earlier showing all the little tiny cute ones) a HUGE GIGANTIC TOAD and shoved it in my face. I am not normally squeamish about the warty guys, but big ones in my face just don't get me going..(I can't believe I just typed that, and I am going to leave it for all of you to have fun with..) I screamed...I haven't screamed in years...

I need to go lay down now...or is it lie...Cyn? (does anyone else pay extra attention to their grammar now that we know we have an English prof on here?)

Sounds yummy. I'll be there too. Sorry I missed the head popping part. I kind of would have liked to seen that. Don't get many live shrimp up here in the mountains. Oh do I love shrimps.

OMG, it was 103 here today. Tomorrow is supposed to be 105 with monsoon conditions. I say again, if FL is that much worse than this, WHO on god's EARTH would go to WDW this time of year!? If it is that bad, the parks should be deserted!!!

Hahaha! Now that was an experience. And, btw, it is 'lie' since you asked. Bless you, my child. I really don't obsess over grammar, etc., especially on any boards, but it makes my heart glad to know people do pay attention. I would never criticize or think badly about poor grammar here, but makes me feel that people spend extra time caring on my account. (except DISUNC, who I am sure works deliberately on breaking the rules )

well we are back home from doctor adventure. Doc is kind of stumped. Strep should have definately been gone. Ran lots of tests on the dude. He never has had blood done. He did great during the draw but then about passed out when he stood up. I'm really hoping we don't have some problem here associated with the dead rabbit incident. That was quite a while ago though. So far no call from the doc on the stats he ordered so that is good news that we hopefully won't have the hospital visit. Ds is on another antibiotic in the mean time so I hope that takes care of things. Thanks everyone for the pixie dust.
