there's this thing called school that I have to go to in September, but right now I'm practically nocturnal, so I'm trying to remedy that.

I DID IT!!! i finally got them! I was able to put my duties aside and go for the important stuff... LGMHPC!!! So here is how it went..
I walked in with my head up high looking for the paint dept. I find it but i see 3 HD CM's

I make a quick turn to try to find the stuff i'm actually going to buy. I find the empty paint cans and grab two. I walk back to the paint chips

and i see one HD CM on the computer. So i start looking at other colors

and i make my way to disney's paint. I pick up an idea book and i start looking for the alien green

I CANT FIND IT AHHHH.... then there they are!! I am way too tall to see them but they were there I grabed them ALL and i ran

I thought for sure they saw me. i was sweating bullets! I finally got to the check out, payed for my empty paint cans and got to my car safely

. I call DH and told him i had them. He said the usual ( ) and then i left. Got home and told him i only found 17 He told me "We have to get more" i totally this man!

Yeah, that's how it is in our county. School starts the day after Labor Day and ends around June 18th or so.

Things I have learned about my son:

1. He will not be a cat person
2. He will not make beer money in college by selling plasma
3. He will not complain about any illness, ache or pain for fear of mom the nurse jumping into action
4. Trauma life in the ER will have a new level of interest for him
5. Add scar and hospital jewelry to big brown eyes and long eyelashes and you get lots of freebies.
6. Last I'm so proud of his ability to endure a difficult experience with grace and courage even though he was scared to death and never has had any experience with challenges.


so please all go and give an extra hug and I love you to your kiddos even though they sometimes drive us mad.

So good things are looking up. Don't kids surprise you? Chip had been in 4 body casts between the ages of 3 1/4 years - 4 1/2 years when he had his 1st surgery to put a rod in that left femur. They told us he would be hard to move, keep him flat, ect, ect. the child stood in the casts, had one leg straight up in the air sleeping and also pulled his body weight and that cast around with his arms cause he though I was leaving him cause he was to much trouble (dad had left before he was 3). The things they can do!

Breath deep and rest easy. The hard part is coming up when he gets to be mobile again!

Good Morning Everybody! Just "popping" in to say Hi! got back last Fri afternoon and walked into a mess at work, boss out having emergency back surgery, a co-worker diagnosed with a serious illness, please keep good thoughts & prayers for them both, Deanna & Debbie.

Had a great time, met Beebea (ANC96) & her adorable daughter Nikki but shared too brief a time together at Epcot, too many things kept happening for another meet...maybe next time. Never saw a LGMHPC except ours ..and of course Dillon had his on his collar

Been a working fool since I got back, hope to catch up with the board soon and hopefully next week post a TR (DisUnc I'll need help posting a link okay?)

Never did make it onto Expedition Everest, DIDN'T chicken_out, just never happened to get together and I wasn't about to do it by myself

Anyways, just wanted to say Hi ..plans already made for next trip, MVMCP ticket (never been there during this) and ARs made, can't wait, Ruthie

well, i was at work, but now i'm home.

27 days for the test results. um, hello? i thought that was slightly absurd. 1 week, 2 weeks, okay. 3 weeks, cuz the dude that would work on your results is going on vacation..but a freakin month?

really, you have no excuse. i'm a teenager. and my punk butt is at work at 4am 5 days a week.

and on my days off, sleeping till 8 is a huge accomplishment..because that's 5 extra hours of sleep for me!

ahhh..i miss those 11am days!

Our rude awakening is going to be next week when we have to adjust our schedule by 3 hours for FL time. I have been trying to get my kids to bed progressively earlier each night, but am only having even marginal success with my 7 year old. My 16 yo is resistant and so I know he's going to experience jetlag extraordinaire. I keep trying to tell him: "Waking up at 6:00 am to get to the parks is going to be exactly the same as waking up at 3:00 am here...EVERY DAY FOR A WEEK. You should get used to it now." He thinks that "sleeping on the plane" is going to be enough to fix the problem. He's going to be one tired boy! Oh, well, NO REST FOR THE WEARY, SKIPPY! Better start liking coffee!

Aquaneted Cyn in her pillow filled Radio Flyer, covered with LGMH's, (of course), stuck in the middle of the line somewhere in the World due to her 16yoDS snoring on top of her cause "the plane wasn't enough sleep mom! Move over!" :rolleyes:

Ok, I would also like to hear others' experiences with the lock thing because I spent $14 on four TSA approved locks and if I will just have to take them off anyway, I am going to spend that $14 at WDW. Thanks for the heads up, Teresa. I'm glad you mentioned this before I've opened the packages!

bought the TSA-approved locks and didn't have a problem. Bags were searched on the way down b/c there were razors in them, wasn't going to a problem. but i brought my locks into work and checked with my TSA friends before i left.

bought 'em at target. Gold, have a little red emblem on them, they say TSA accepted.

i'm super-glad i'm not in high school anymore. i hated it.

college however..
i go to community college. never realized how much i miss going to school until i couldn't afford to go. 5 classes shy of graduating. *sigh*

i can't WAIT to go back! September 5th!!

Good thing all my english classes are done..otherwise i'd have to ask Cyn to relocate!
