My family took our first trip to WDW May 2 - 8. We did 1 park a day and hit EPCOT twice, stayed at Pop Century. Our overall experience with FP+ and wait times were excellent! We have used FP at Disneyland and knew how you used to be able to pull quite a few FP's throughout the day.

After reading all the negative stuff about FP+, we went into this trip prepared for long lines and waits... never happened! We had no glitches with FP's and the longest we waited in a FP line was 20 mins at Test Track. Most lines moved extremely fast and were almost walk on the entire week. Standby didn't seem too affected either. The longest SB line we had was Space Mountain at 30 mins. The sign said 45, but moved quicker. The longest wait we had all week was waiting for a bus our first EPCOT night. We waited 1.5 hours for a bus back to Pop. There was still a line and half after we boarded and all other resort stops were empty.

The only problem I can see is being able to pull a 4th FP+. Most parks' boards had limited availability for headliners 2 hours after opening, leaving you with only a few options. Forget trying to hit a Tier 1 ride later in the evening! Book must-do rides early! Changing a FP+ experience with the App was a hassle. It never seemed to work and even dropped a FP+ I had selected the night before. Stick with going through the website. Changing times on the fly was a sinch for most rides. Tier 1 rides could be harder if not done early in the day, or the day before.

Always check the FP+ lines too. We had a FP+ for EE and when we got there the SB line was 15 mins, but FP+ was 1 hour! The line wrapped all the way outside. Can't tell you the dirty looks we got when we almost walked right on :rotfl:.

Magic Bands worked awesomely for us. No problems with charging, credits, or our room. Only issues we had was my mom's would not let her into a park on 2 occasions. A CM was there to fix it right away though. The other issue is the placement of the scanner on the room lock. It was very close to the door jam and you had to hold your wrist in an awkward position to get it to read. Probably works better to take it off and then scan it. The bands also stayed on through the whole trip. Even with removing backpacks and jackets multiple times.

Overall we had a pretty good experience and really enjoyed using the new system.

We were there May 7-12. Our fast pass lines were great, not much wait at all. The other lines... well, I thought it was a low crowd time but 45 mins for Jungle Cruise in Standby seems to suggest otherwise.

The magic bands worked perfectly, not one single glitch!
