On to happier topics! Music has been one of the most exciting parts for me, but also the bane of my existence. I guess only because its so important! Since DF proposed 6

eek

years ago, Ive had the music all picked out for the ceremony. Then in an awesome change of plans, I get to get married at Disney World. Which is just fine with me, in fact, I had planned to walk down the aisle to Disney music from the very beginning. I got engaged at Disney, I bought a castle cake topper on ebay...lets just say Ive been planning a Disney wedding long before I knew I was going to get one! Hehe.
When I found out that as an Escape bride I only got a violinist and at Sea Breeze Point it would be a challenge for an iPod dock (as well as a short entrance!), I almost said, thanks but no thanks. Thats how committed I was to my musical selections! After a lot of Allison, please come back to reality talks with DF, I finally gave up 6 years of musical planning and went with plan B. (which is a pretty good plan considering it involves a Disney wedding! Hello!)
But in honor of plan A, I must tell you what my first choices were.
Plan A (aka...getting married in a perfect world):
(when we were going to get married at Chimney Rock in NC, which is where they filmed my favorite movie, Last of the Mohicans I was going to have the soundtrack playing while the guests were seated.)
Bridal Party entrance: Transformation from Beauty and the Beast. I had the whole thing choreographed and set up, as to who walked down the aisle to which part, etc. (Im a dancer/choreographer, I cant help it!)
A Time for Us: played during the ceremony, a few of my dancers doing something I choreographed for them
Storybook Love: From Princess Bride, played during the Kiss the Bride part
First Dance: Love and Luck by Jimmy Buffett. This song was written for us. Love, luck, flying, best friends, jimmy Buffett....unfortunately, I dont think it will sound that great on a violin! Haha
Ok....so here is what we have decided on. Once the wedding venue changed from the mountains of NC to Disney, the whole feel and thought process changed. I rediscovered my love affair with Disney tunes and went crazy!

Plan B (aka...getting married at Disney, which is also getting married in a perfect world!)
Guest seating: Storybook Love (SUCH a beautiful piece of music!!)
Bridal Party Entrance: A Whole New World (this is special because it reminds me so much of DF. Hes a pilot, so the whole soaring, tumbling, freewheeling in the sky hits home. And well, its just so us.
Brides Entrance: Beauty and the Beast (its not Transformation but it is my favorite Disney movie. And Joey and I are beauty and the beast. Im that weirdo bookworm that doesnt quite fit in, and hes a handsome, booming voiced, hairy, hunk of man...

)
Wine Box Ceremony: A Time for Us from Romeo and Juliet. (this is my something old and borrowed. My parents used this song when they got married. Next year they will celebrate 40 years of marriage. Thats inspirational. Ive known Id use this song somewhere in my wedding since I was a little girl).
Recessional: Medley. I have to talk to Tanis to make sure we can do this, but this is what I picture:
Starts with When You Wish Upon a Star, and then we have little blips of Zip a Dee Doo Dah, MMC March, Pirates, Dream is a Wish, Its a Small World, etc. Cross your fingers cause I am SO SO excited about this!
Cake Cutting: I See the Light from Tangled. So pretty
First Dance: Married Life from Up. So perfect for us!! Im going to choreograph a little waltz for us to do. So excited.
Father/Daughter dance: Stand by Me by Ben E King.
I dont think Ive heard of a lot of people doing dances at morning Escape weddings at Sea Breeze Point. This isnt an option for me. It HAS to happen!! Dancing is the MOST important part to me (did I mention Im a dance teacher/choreographer?) ☺
I figure we can just do Disney tunes during the eating of the cake, but those are the most important.
What do you guys think?
