It was really sweet of them, we were really shocked, we couldn't stop saying thank you.

What I found weird was that I thought I got over my flu, but when we went to DVC I think the air conditioning in the room started it up again (I have bad reactions to airconditioning, coughs, headaches and flu), *** I remember feeling stuffy in the room at the time *** it was small and there was no air.

No to being pregnant, not yet anyway. Marriage first so I can fit into my dress and then maybe after that we'll see :bride:

Stefy:

So sorry you got sick at the end of your vacation. At least you had 10 great days before the illness struck. Thank you for the lovely trip report and fab pictures. Happy planning for your wedding and you next Disney trip!

I just read your TR, so so sorry you got so sick at the end. There is nothing worse than being sick on vacation. I'm glad you had some magical moments before you got sick and congrats on your engagement!

Hopefully there will be a lovely promo for you to use and make it to the flower and garden show, I hope to do that one year. I'm having a hard enough time waiting till Sept 2010 myself (keep trying to con some folks into a Sept 2009!) but no matter when, or how, it's fun to plan...even 14 months away!

As a couple I'd vote for ALK lol.....especially given how much you liked Boma!

Thanx guys. I think we are leaning towards AKL. I was talking to Dave last night saying shall I book it now do you think (was looking at cancellation terms and conditions) and he was like wow you are keen, what if you change your mind later on in the year. But I know I want to go now am just too impatient to wait and see what offers come up. Obviously I will check back all the time though :D Just want to get it pegged down :D

That stinks that you got sick, but CONGRATS ON YOUR ENGAGMENT!

(We were there in December when you were there, I think a lot of people got the flu then, I remember a guy telling us his wife and daughter were sick with it on a bus and overhearing other people discussing it.)

Yes quite a few staff came down with it all over WDW as well I heard, was not hot I tell you. Where did you stay when you were there?

We actually stayed at the Doubletree in Downtown Disney. It's a great property if you are looking for a suite that doesn't cost much!

We will stay off property at some point, but for now its a must for resorts as we can't drive just yet.

Does Disney Transportation apply to Downtown Disney resorts?

Also, if not, you might could catch a bus to another resort and go to the parks from there.

Well it is a little early :) You can do room only I think as early as 500 days though and as far as I know you can keep changing things until 45 days before, and that's for a package, I think the rules are actually more lenient on room only. Not 100% though. For a 2010 package though I think you'd have to wait until January. It may depend on room type though.

Oh, and I went online and checked out Doubletree. Very nice place from the looks of it! And the prices did seem reasonable. It looked like you could get a two room suite (bedroom & living area) for around 130.00 a night. That's not too bad!

I didn't know DTD had a hotel, so I will definitely be looking into that if I ever choose to go w/out parents who are DVC members. Also, they do have transporation to the parks and the water parks, as well.

I am gonna try and be patient and wait til the end of the month and then look again I think.

I am reading trip reports at mo and it is really making me want to go now! :(

Package rates for 2010 will come out at the beginning of August according to a friend who works for MEI travel.

Stefy- You were there during Pop Warner week, how were the parks overall during the day? We are planning on going what would be Pop Warner week in 2010 and I have been told that during the day the crowds aren't too terrible.

I will be honest with you, it was crowd overload, we were told that all resorts were at 90% capacity. What we couldn't understand was why it was so busy, we thought that the first week in Dec was quiet. It felt like we had to queue for everything, no ride wait time was below 60mins.

But this year could be different, you just won't know til you get there.

As for Pop Warner, you do notice them there, they are out in droves. But I will say this, we didn't really hear them when we were at CSR.

"a non-profit organization named after the coach that offers youth American football and cheerleading & dance programs"

It can sometimes be a problem at some of the mod resorts as they take over and are normally quite rowdy and loud. There is a thread on the boards about it, which we avidly read last year in preparation.

Seems like I've read about this in someone else's trip report - the children were very unruly and loud. There were quite a few dance teams (or cheerleaders, couldn't tell the diff) while we were there and while we were waiting in line for Test Track, they serenaded us all throughout the queue and it was loud too!!!! :sad2: Very annoying to me and I noticed those around us, too.

I'm all about having a good time, but that's a bit much, IMHO.

The value resorts are the first to fill up with the Pop Warner groups, the a few of the moderates. We are planning on staying at the Poly so not a problem there. Maybe we need to go the week before or the week after.

Stefy- Thank you for sharing your trip with all of us. Congrats on the engagement! A Safari wedding sounds fabulous. Where in the UK do you reside? I have been there a couple of times and everyone was so friendly and helpful.
