Hey Dawn - I just had to let you know this; I was reading EW and thought of you (can't believe I'm reading a magazine and thinking of a person I have never met! )

Anyway, Tim Burton will be doing his own take on Alice in Wonderland 3-D, slated for release in 2010. The magazine says "the film will be live-action until Alice jumps down the rabbit hole and meets the loopy tea party host". The big rumor going around is that the Mad Hatter will be played by Johnny Depp! It's unsure whether Johnny is just going to lend his voice to the computer-generated character or will appear as himself dressed like the Mad Hatter.

I always love what Tim Burton does with his films. This could be interesting!

Love the Chipmunk hat on Ray! Glad to hear your fur baby is doing well. Does he have a satellite dish that he has to wear so he doesn't lick himself? Love those things My moms dog had to wear one for a long time and in the winter her "dish" would collect snow in it You know they feel sooo humiliated!

OMG! I'm so jealous! You had the perfect character morning! I love Peter Pan too! I've never met him but he ran around us and had my girls chase him at the Contemporary Resort a few years ago. They were playing Tag! I was so cute!

I, too, love the villains and think they have a lot more character than some of the "good guys." Years ago in the character veiwing area where "Poohs Thotful Spot" is now they had Villians there doing meet & greets the whole time we were visiting and it was so cool to see so many at once! Malificient and the evil queen scared the carp out of my kids! I wish they would bring that or the Villian Character Meal back...

the olympics rule, i am going out of town on business for a few days and set hte DVR up to record everything while i am gone, that will be about 35 hours when i get back to go through, good thing for fast forwarding and just watching what i want to.


those updates were great, also great job on all of hte characters...you got some really good pics and interaction.

htat is the big water with the really big straw coming up...i love those.

Back to WDW.... I must admit I would hate to be there right now... missing the Olympics... I know what good DISer would say that.

you're not a bad DISer.....i wouldn't want to miss the olympics either. in 2004 me and my best friend went to destin instead of going to our 10-year high school reunion during the last week of the olympics and i missed a lot of it - i'd call ray every night for an update!

oh, and speaking of the swimming.......did you guys see the mens relay last night??????? COMPLETELY AWESOME RACE!!!!! i was screaming at the TV and eli went to hide!

You had such character luck on this vacation! I love that you took a picture of what the photopass person was taking a picture of with Ray posing for the hook shot. Where exactly is that at? I think I need to make a list of all of the hiden "cool" photopass spots for my next trip.

when we were there he had his tripod set up facing a wall that's on the left side if you're walking towards frontierland from adventureland. i'm thinking it was right across from the pirate/perico (or whatever it's called) mexican food place.

thanks! i was thrilled to meet peter! sherman is doing good. he's slowly but surely healing up. he has to go back to the vet next week to get the stitches out.

She really was if you think about it! You totally scored on Peter Pan characters -- I think you saw them all, didn't you? I read somewhere that Tink will be doing Meet and Greets in the near future -- maybe on your Christmas trip you will be able to meet her.

if you're in adventureland and you're walking towards frontierland, he would be on the left. i'm thinking it was somewhere near the pirate/perico CS place.

Great update-I really love the Hook ones, both the fighting and the one where he is flirting with you. I want to get some of those speciality Photopass pics in November, last time we were at Disney World we only got a few photopass pictures-we just never saw the guys except right at the front gates. I'm gonna hunt 'em down this time!!!

i'm sure your DH will appreciate that! we saw a little boy wearing it and ray had to try one on. we had really good luck with the characters that day. and as far as the photopass guys go, you just have to take the time to find them and stop for a picture.

Ok, so Ive missed a lot of over the last few days.
First of all, I'm glad that your babies are ok!
Second of all, great update! The hook and Peter pics are so cute!
Lastly:

They played the POTC music on the 2006 winter games too. I freaked out! I'm a huge POTC fan and the music too so I was really excited! Glad to know they're still using it. It's great music!

i don't remember that about the winter games, but i don't watch those as closely. cool! if you ever get a chance to go to P&P party, go if you love that music! they play it during the fireworks and it's just AWESOME!!! don't worry...i will have the video on here sometime soon!

My post is for this guy. If he's brave enough to take on Captain Hook, then he should be brave enough to take on a little heat in order to see all those Star Wars characters. Ray, go over to the TR and watch the parade, then turn and tell your wife that you guys are going next year! You know you wanna see all that, and you need to do it before you have a little one. Great update!! You got some terrific photopass shots with Tink, Captain Hook and others. How do you know what Photopass station offers what "add-ins"? Does that make sense? I'd probably walk by the photog in front of a wall in Adventureland thinking "lame-o" but with the Captain Hook overlay it is AWESOME! Do you just have to ask each photographer?

there are only 4 automatic add-ins that i know of: tink in your hand (taken both in MK and epcot), fighting captain hook in adventureland, stitch breaking through the sidewalk at DHS and holding baby simba at AK. the captain hook one is only done in that one place in adventureland that i know of. and the photopass person will have a tripod set up for that picture. the other ones are generally taken in front of a landmark (castle/spaceship earth/big hat at DHS/tree of life) and if the photographer tells you to hold your hands out, hold your hands like you're holding a baby or look down at the sidewalk and act surprised, you'll know that they're adding in something. the other graphics (the trims, 2008 symbols, etc.) are on the website when you look at your pictures and you can add them in yourself.

Classic! By the way, the pic with you, Peter Pan, & Wendy is adorable!

the vet told me i could either use that or use bitter apple spray to make sure he doesn't lick his wounds. i opted for the bitter apple spray but so far i haven't had to use it. he's not really bothering them at all!

OMG, you're going to have a lot of catching up to do!!! it's been great so far. the gymnastics last night was really good too.....very dramatic. two of the U.S. girls got hurt and couldn't compete, so EVERY SCORE COUNTED in the team qualifying round. it was scary!

Apparently starting Aug 19th, there is an opportunity for AP holders to sign up to see an exclusive preview of the full length Tinkerbell movie in the theater on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom on Saturday 9/27. Details are on the AP holder site, I'm told. Not sure if that's feasible with your schedule, finances and AP dates but I thought if anyone would appreciate this, it would be you!

Did you watch the men's gymnastics team finals last night? That was pretty interesting/impressive for the US too. However, it would have been more interesting if they hadn't messed up in the final round and had won the silver.

the olympics have been so great thus far. last night we were cheering on the men's gymnastics team. they weren't expected to do anything and they got the bronze. tonight will be even more stressful as the girls are expected to do better!

i think it pretty much just depends on the weather. it's not something we HAVE to do, but as long as it doesn't rain we think we're gonna go. we just don't want to drop $50+ each to walk around in the rain all night!
