we have a beagel called poppy that we have had since a pup she is now three in december woddy is so cute I will try and post a picture of poppy soon . The only advice i can give is watch your socks and pants they love them and also take him to training I did and she can go of the lead where ever we are amd she always comes back ( when i say the magic word chicken ) they can be like a naughty child and some times she drives us to despair but when she cuddles up and looks at you with those eyes it is all worth it. Have fun with your new addtion and hopefully he will settle soon at night

Woody has a thing for shoes/slippers, having said that all he does is put them on his bed or use my dad's slippers as a pillow.

We had a much better night last night, we have decided to crate him for the time being something we have never done with previous dogs but it is working for him. Soon he will have the whole of the kitchen to himself

he is soo cute. and don't worry about the crate, we used one for our dog and they feel so safe and secure inside, she sees hers in the garage now and waggs her tail at it...must have good memories.

I've never been one to get broody over babies but give me a puppy and it's a completely different story!

We had a much better night last night, we have decided to crate him for the time being something we have never done with previous dogs but it is working for him. Soon he will have the whole of the kitchen to himself

We'd never used a crate before either but got one when Skye was a puppy and found it was brilliant. I agree with Andrea, it definitely makes them feel safe and secure ~ we also used to use it in the day to ensure Skye had plenty of rest.

as i have said previously, we have 2 bassetts and they are 4 and 3.
daisy is very naughty and eats anything and everything she can get her nose near, inc electric cable...for this reason she is still crated when we are out of the house.
she doesnt seem to mind though as she goes in it to sleep even when we are in the house
casper on the other hand just sleeps next to her, even though he has free roam of the house, funny things dogs

woody is v cute, i would say watch your vegetables, app the bassett/beagle dogs, as hunting dogs, like potatoes and carrots daisy has eaten her fair few i can tell you!!
