We arrived at WDW around 2 and after checking in at the Pop Century headed to MGM. It was an EMH night and I was worried that there would be crowds. There seemed to be quite a few people at the park but we walked on to the RNR and ToT. We also saw the new Stunt show-AWESOME! A definite don't miss! We had dinner at 50's Prime Time (Yummy) and went to the 8:30 Fantasmic. It was standing room only when we arrived but we were able to squeeze into the second row. We had already got our wrist bands so we headed toward RNR again. There was a long line so we used our fast passes from earlier. They had expired at 5 but the cast member shoed us into the line. So we had no wait. Then we did ToT again. We had to wait about 20 minutes. By that time we were tired and it appeared that the park was at its most crowded of the day, so we left.
The next day we checked out of the Pop Century and went to check in at the BWI. We lucked out and got upgraded to the concierge level
That was a big treat for us! Our room was right on the Boardwalk and at night we were able to see the fireworks at Epcot. We walked to Epcot (it was EMH morning there) and rode Soarin and Test Track twice. There was hardly any wait. Then we took the monorail over to MK and stayed until the late afternoon. There were 20 minute lines for Splash Mtn so we FP that one. The lines for Space Mtn, Buzz and Thunder Mtn railroad were only 10 minutes. The longest line was for It's a Small World. We must have waited for 30 minutes in that line. We had take out pizza from the Spoodles pizza window for dinner. It was just okay, nothing great.
On Weds we went to Animal Kingdom. We got there at 9 (with what looked like masses of people!) and went right to EE. The line was only 10 minutes and we were able to FP it. We rode it twice and then later in the day used our (expired) FP-again with no problem. The line for the Safari was about 30 minutes. We could have FP it but decided to just wait. We sat at the bar (cool stools) at the Rain Forest Cafe for lunch.
That night we went over to Universal for 2 days. I found it interesting that there were a lot of school groups and hardly any families at Universal. At WDW there seemed to be mostly families and quite a few Europeans. Definitely different customers!
Overall we had a super trip.
