~Our March 'Just Engaged',freezing,and full of surprises trip~Updated 6/23 p.76

Yeah, I've seen the icky bloody grossy stuff. Not looking forward to that part!

I think we should get to go to WDW for a field trip to study butterflies as a part of our preparation for teaching about them.

Okay, I found the Velcro frog pictures.

I was trying to be polite and not bring up the nastiness.
Look at Brooklynn! That was a while back....

I'm loving your trip report about the F&G pictures - We will be there in 2 weeks and I can't wait to see all the beautiful flowers and anything else we might discover!

Thanks! I hope you have a good time.

An update should be up tomorrow/tomorrow night!!

Summer 2008. :cutie:

I was going to say, that had to be awhile ago!

Thanks Ladies!!! I knew I had seen that around somewhere! Can you tell me where it is though, in Innoventions?? MeMom??

I will ask Jill if she remembers more details. Her mind is younger and sharper than mine. :)

All caught up. Your pictures of Epcot are making me homesick for WDW. We were there a few years ago for the F&G Festival & it has gotten a lot bigger since that time. I would love to be able to go again. Your camera is amazing and really captures the details of the flowers!

I got this camera for Christmas and cannot believe how great the pics turned out! I'm glad you're enjoying them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Day 4 continued: March 16, 2010

We left off heading into The Land. They had the left side roped off, so we had no choice but to go right. We walked by the Garden Grill, which wasn’t open and serving yet.

While it is a neat place to eat, we had a bad experience there a few years ago. But, maybe we’ll give it a chance again sometime soon. We made our way downstairs- the escalator is always backed up with people! The stairs are almost always open- just a tip. ;)

We were curious what the wait time was for Soarin’, so we went back that way. It was already up to 120 minutes and FP’s were all gone! Darn it. Oh well. We’ll be back to ride it in July! As we turned around, Fiancé’s phone started ringing. It was the company that was trying to get ahold of him the day before about his internship. He talked to them for awhile, then we stopped and looked at the little F&G area of gifts right outside Soarin’. They had the CUTEST stuff! I ended up buying a Tink hummingbird feeder and a Tink bird bath for Mom and Dad. We still had a few days left in the trip, so we had them sent back to Pop.

After we were done paying and filling out our form to send it back to Pop, we headed over to ride Living with the Land. The wait was about 10 minutes. On all the walls throughout the line were quotes from kids about taking care of our Earth and the environment and stuff. We ended up seeing one from a kid from our area! It was cool to see.

And while we were in line…I was of course talking to Kristen..which Fiancé saw a lot of this trip, HA:

Before we knew it, we were sitting down in our row. We were the first row of the connected section. It was nice not having someone directly in front of us. And now, please enjoy a pic version of the ride:

Such a neat ride for us- I know some people probably find it boring. Since there isn’t much to do in The Land, we headed back upstairs. We stopped to take some pics. I read in my “Hidden Magic” book about the balloons up in The Land. Each balloon is painted to represent a different season and the center balloon is Earth, hence the name of the CS Sunshine Seasons!

**Continued from previous**

We still had some time before our lunch ADR at Le Cellier, so we decided to head over to Mouse Gears. I still needed to find something for Sis and the little guy. Fiancé loves the decorating and themes of Epcot, so he had to take a pic of this while we walked by:

We found Timon!:

And Pumbaa!:

And some Lion King giraffes:

And the most beautiful one of all:

All the topiaries are so amazing. The pictures just don’t do them justice! :goodvibes

We walked around Mouse Gears for awhile. I ended up finding a gray, white, and hot pink WDW shirt for Sis. You’ll see it in our July TR. I also found Toy Story Kerplunk for the little guy. He loves playing the regular Kerplunk at my house, so it was so neat to find a Toy Story themed one. Instead of marbles, you use the little green aliens! We also had those sent back to Pop, so we didn’t have to mess with carrying them around.

After we were done there, we decided to start checking out the F&G Festival stuff around WS.

We decided to head to Mexico first and take a ride with Donald.

We walked by these dolphins and promotion for the new Oceans movie:

Another view of the beautiful flowers:

We were in love with all the flowers across the water:

Before Mexico, there were some cool stands selling garden things:

Fiancé wants to try and make some of these things at home. It would be neat!

We made our way to Mexico. The CS place was all boarded up! Are they just refurbing it? :confused3

We made our way up the pavilion steps:

I just love the inside “market” here. It always is busy there though. It’s hard to look around sometimes! We looked around for a few minutes, then made our way back to Donald:

My favorite part of this ride is actually the beginning. HA. I love riding by the restaurant:

It was an uneventful ride, HA. It is a silly one though.

We made our way back towards the exit and back out to WS. We turned around and took a quick pic of the “market” before we left:

We made our way down the stairs and turned left to continue our journey through WS.

~Up next:

Our lunch at Le Cellier, a surprise, and drinks around WS!

Yay, an update! :) Yep, the CS in Mexico is just being refurbed and expanded. I forget when it's supposed to reopen, early summer I think?

Awesome Epcot pictures! Have I mentioned that Epcot is my favorite! :rotfl:

I really like Living With the Land, too. We really want to try to do a Behind the Seeds tour in July. I read that about the balloons in that book too. Cool fact! i remember when the balloons used to float up and down. Why did they stop that?!

The flowers in the lake are so pretty! They really SHOULD keep them all year. I absolutely LOVE the Mexican pavilion. Love the ride, love the market...love the margaritas!

Great update! :thumbsup2

Hmm, I'm pretty sure it's more like late summer or even fall. I know that it's not going to be open when I'm there in July because I was terribly disappointed when I read it! I think they are aiming to be done by Food and Wine.

Another wonderfullllll update! The topiaries at the F&G Festival are just so beautiful! The Lion King one was definitely one of my faves from last year. And it's cool to see how they've moved them this year. The dolphins topiary for the Oceans movie is where the Beauty and the Beast one was last year and the Lion King one was just behind it if you walk towards the WS more. Also that hat stand next to the Oceans one (you can see it in your pic) is where Chris bought his Goofy hat and I bought my Pirate Princess ears

Love the pictures where you're texting me...I think I remember seeing the quote from the kid from your area in the Living with the Land queue! :thumbsup2

The CS in Mexico is being refurbed/expanded! I don't think it's opening again until like the fall!

We really want to try to do a Behind the Seeds tour in July.

You'll love the Behind the Seeds tour... we did it last summer on our anniversary trip, it was well worth the $ and the time. :thumbsup2

Late summer or fall for the Mexico CS? That's disappointing... I was hoping to be able to try it in July.... I guess that'll have to go on the list for March, instead! :)

The CS service restaurant was gutted and it's opening late summer/early fall. It will be a flex restaurant. During lunch it will be a CS location. At night, it will be a TS restaurant. There will be outdoor waterside seating which will be great for Illuminations.

This flex restaurant is a prototype that they will probably be using for the "Be Our Guest" restaurant in the new Fantasyland.

Great update. Love the F and G pix. I missed it by a few weeks, but saw some of the initial floral displays--so beautiful. I'm sure it adds to the experience at Epcot.

Thanks!! Well you are in for a lot of pics from this day! HA!

I wish they didn't stop the balloons from floating up and down!! So cool!

I really wish they would keep them all year.

Oh yes, LOVE margaritas!

Thanks girl! They are so beautiful! It is great they move them around to keep things interesting year to year.

I remember that pic of you guys in your hat and ears! Yep, I did send you a pic!

Aw man..well we will still have to find margaritas!
