~Our March 'Just Engaged',freezing,and full of surprises trip~Updated 6/23 p.76

What were you doing up in the middle of the night, little girl? Your last post is showing 1:13 in the morning!

I hope you have a good Wednesday. As a matter of fact, I hope you have a good enough Wednesday to make up for the one I am going to have. We have Vision & Hearig screenings today, which means we'll be off schedule all day and the kids will be wild, AND we'll have a faculty meeting to end the day, AND we get to look forward to the state people coming back with their clipboards tomorrow. :sad2:

Yep, I need somebody to have a really good day. :)

Oh dear, MeMom!! That sounds really awfully disruptive and kinda, well, a hard day coming up!! Think Disney thoughts! :goodvibes:hug:

I'm in!

I love your purse I bought that same exact one while I was at WDW!

Sounds like a great first day!

Can't wait for day 3

 Fiance and I were up late watching "The Blind Side". It was our first time watching it..It was good!

Oh my gosh, I hated the Vision & Hearing screenings! Here's a hug. Tonight, we get to go home for Easter break!

Welcome!

I just love it!

Day 3: March 15, 2010

You know that feeling when you wake up at WDW? There’s butterflies in your stomach because there’s so much excitement and fun to come throughout the day. I love that feeling. I love waking up and knowing we are here for the whole day and night again.

We wanted to get a little sleep since the past two nights we had gotten up at 4! The alarm went off around 8. Now, I’ve probably said this before, but vacation is the only time I will happily get up when the alarm blares. HAHA

We still had some bananas left in the cooler from the drive down, so we each ate one on the way to the bus stops. We were having an early lunch that day, so we didn’t want to eat too much. I seriously cannot say enough times how close we were to the bus stops! It was so nice, especially late at night when our feet were oh so tired.

The line for DHS filled up fast! There were already a lot of people in front of us, but behind us was starting to fill up too. We were fine with standing on the bus so others could sit, and that’s just what we did. A couple all decked out in Texas shirts and hats saw our buttons and congratulated us. Only in WDW is it really normal to start up conversations with complete strangers. I think it’s neat to learn where they are from, etc.

As we pulled into DHS, we noticed a lot of charter buses with logos on them from back home. There were tons of teenagers getting off of them. We were excited to see if they were from around our area. As we headed towards the bag checks, we noticed a mom and her son from their group and they had backpacks with the name of their school- which we are near! Fiancé and I made it through bag check before they did, so I waited for them and politely asked them if that was really where they were from. They said yes, and I told them where we were from. Turns out, the mom went to high school in the town about 5 minutes away from us! Talk about a small world. Of course, I had to text Mom, Dad, and Sis to tell them.

Then, we made our way through the turnstiles and saw this:

I’m sure most of you probably already know this, but did you know that Mickey also acts as a lightening rod? Just a fun fact for ya.

Of course, we had to take a pic of one of Fiancé’s favorite little things about DHS:

Then, we made it around the corner and finally saw “The Hat”:

084.jpg

We were on a mission: Get fast passes for TSM! So we headed that way. Seems like a lot of other people were too, of course.

086.jpg

Some of you saw a similar picture to this from my live update:

087.jpg

The fast pass return time was 12 pm – 1 pm, which worked out great. With those in hand, we got in the stand-by line which was a 45 minute wait. That is the shortest wait time we’ve ever seen since we usually go in the summer! I seriously love all the detailing that went into this line:

We eventually made it past Mr. Potato Head and soon we were on the ride. Let me tell you, it’s hard to take a pic of yourselves once the ride gets going- which is why part of Fiancé is cut off! HA:

090.jpg

It was so much fun to finally be playing this again. All the games were also on our new Wii game we got for Christmas, which brought back memories of playing that to pass time until our trip. Of course, I lost. But, it was still fun. Have you guys ever looked at the top scores of the day and month?! How the heck does anybody get that high?!

After we made it off the ride and returned our glasses, we headed to the one attraction that I think gets overlooked by so many people: One Man’s Dream.

085.jpg

I love this attraction with all my heart. It’s so neat to learn about Walt and see how WDW and Disneyland became about.

The first pictures you see when you walk in:

We made our way through and came upon some Disney classics:

Once we made it to the very last room with the animatronic that you can run, Fiancé had a blast. It’s probably his favorite part of the attraction.

Anyone who has not seen the movie at the end, I highly recommend watching it! Of course, if you’re an emotional sap like me, you will cry. HA. We’ve already seen it a couple times, so we skipped out on that. We headed back out the way we came in and started walking towards the Sunset Couture shop towards ToT.

094.jpg

Ugh, can you see all the people?!

Ahh yes, made it:

095.jpg

Of course, Fiancé wasn’t too thrilled about shopping, so I made sure to not take too long. Then, we stopped and sat right outside the store so I could write down what we had done so far. While I was writing, Fiancé grabbed the camera, so here’s the shots he took:

After I was done writing and he was done taking pics, it was time to head to our 11:30 ADR at the Hollywood Brown Derby.

~Up next:

A surprise at lunch, our DHS afternoon, and some more surprises at night!

Yes! It's always nice meeting other people... everyone is always SO sweet down at Disney. (well, 99% of the people...) :goodvibes

Hi! I'm joining in on your TR. Congrats on your engagement, by the way!!

I love all of your pictures of DHS. For whatever reason, the sky always looks more blue in pictures taken at DHS. I don't know if other people have noticed this, or if it's something I've made up in my crazy head, but it makes me really enjoy looking at pics from the Studios. :upsidedow

Can't wait to hear what's next!

I see you've got a new post up, but I"m headed to bed in little bit. I'll have soemthing to look forward to in the morning!! :thumbsup2

Don't you just love it when you are on vacation and see somebody from your town, or even state?; Gives you a feeling of bonding . It's funny though because I say to myself, hey I see people from my town back home all the time and don't get so excited!:lmao::rotfl:

It really does give you that bonding feeling! :) But I do have to say, there are some people from back home that I hope to never un into at WDW! I went on vacation to get away from people like them! HA

WOW! What a great morning at Hollywood Studios! And you did make it for a rope drop!

It's really the only way to ride TSM twice.

Another great update girl!!

Getting to DHS early in the am is the way to go although it does stink waking up so early. I can't believe TSM was only a 45 min wait even though the park had been open for like an hour. You lucked out :thumbsup2

Good job keeping up with your trip journal :)

We're going to be in HS during Star Wars Weekend. :scared1: If ds wasn't such a SW junkie, we'd go during the week.

:scared1: Good luck with that!

Thanks girl. :cutie:

We did luck out! I thought the wait would've been longer by then.

Haha, thanks. You'll see another amusing picture in a later update. ;)
