Hi all. We just checked into SSR this morning. We will be here from
Oct 18th-25th.

Cast

Myself: (33) Obsessed Disney Freak and planner. This is our third trip this year. I love this place. Will eat just about anything but fish (yuck).

DH: (33) Tolerates Disney for me but I think he is starting to grow fond of it after 17 years of me. Hates my obsessive planning so we do one park day and one rest day to satisfy him. Eats mostly everything but fish. Really loves pizza and steak.

DD (16) Very picky eater. I hate paying for her on the dining plan because all she eats is mac and cheese or grilled cheese.

DD best friend (15) Very good eater.

DS (7) Pretty picky but loves chicken fingers, quesadillas and pizza.

DS (4) My best eater of the group. He will at least try new things.

I will be reviewing as we go along so that I don't forget anything. Plus my kids are taking a nap so I am just enjoying some down time.

We are DVC members and purchased the dining plan. We also had groceries delieved to our room for breakfast.

We arrived early and our room was not ready yet so we decided to head over to Downtown Disney and eat at my favorite CS Wolfgang Puck Express. I love this place. I had Margaita Pizza and Creme Brulee (awesome). DH had cheese pizza (he loved it). DD had cheese pizza (loved it). DD best friend had chicken fingers and fries and said they were very good. DS cheese quesadillas they were very good I tried one and he loves them. DS (4) just shared with the rest of us. Sorry I have no pictures because my camera was in my suitcase and I had not recevied it from ME yet. IMO Wolfgang Puck is the best counter service in all of Disney.

We had planned on going to Wolfgang Puck Express for dinner but because we had time to kill, we went early so now we have nothing scheduled for dinner tonight. So, I call Disney Dining and got a ressie for Chef Mickey's for dinner. My boys cannot wait to see Mickey and the gang. I know it is not the best resturant and doesn't get great dinner reviews, but sometimes you gotta do it for the kids. We have not been there for dinner since our honeymoon many years ago. I will let you all know how it goes. I will check back later.

Wow, I can't believe I'm first! Looking forward to the reviews and pics!
I can't believe you got CM's the same day--people have been saying it's impossible to get an adr. Hope it's good!

Chef Mickey's

Dinner was great. The prime rib and mashed potatoes were excellent. Good choices for the kids. They had chicken nuggets, mac and cheese and pizza. The kids had a ball with the characters. We would definately go back.

Oh forgot, we also got two snacks at Goofy's Candy Store earlier in the day. My DS got pretzels dipped in choc, with sprinkles and my DH got the fudge cookie dipped in chocolate with peanut butter cups. They really enjoyed them both.

Tommorow is MGM and 50's Prime Time Cafe

I completely agree with you about Wolfgang Puck Express. I love it!! My whole family loves it! We would rather eat there than alot of the table service restaurants at Disney!

Looking forward to more reviews!!!:)

Well today we spent the day in MGM. We had a great day.

Breakfast was in the room (just cereal and donuts). Later we snacked on some popcorn. We had lunch at Pizza Planet. We all had the cheese pizza and salad. The pizza is pretty good here. For dinner we went to 50's Prime Time Cafe. I have had ressies here on every trip I have taken but always had to cancel for some reason or another but this time I was not gonna let that happen. We had a 5:05 ressie and checked in at about 4:45. We were seated immediately. Our server was Nicole. She was great. Some of the adults in our room tried to hide their greens, but got caught. She fed them all their greens, and for me well she decided to make me sing I am a little teapot to the entire room as loud as I could. It was pretty funny. I think my 16 year old daughter wanted to climb under the table. Well anyway, this is what we had. Myself: Onion rings, fried chicken, smores. Onion rings were just okay. They were a little soggy and not really crispy. The chicken was also just okay. The smores on the other hand were very good. DH had shrimp, sirlion steak and sundae. He enjoyed his meal very much. DD had the fried cheese and bread (which she ordered for me to try since she didn't care for any of the apps). I really enjoyed this. It was very good. I gave my DH the onion rings and ate the fried cheese instead. She also had Mac and cheese and the brownie sundae. She loved her meal and she is very picky so this is a very good thing. They also let her order a milkshake. She had choc. DDBest friend had choc milkshake, onion rings, chicken fingers and hot fudge sundae. She enjoyed everything. Both of my boys had choc milkshakes (which I tried and were very good) Mac and cheese/chicken fingers (she gave them a little of each) and the kids sundae. The didn't eat a whole lot. The chicken nuggets are kind of like those little round ones and my boys didn't really care for them. Overall we had a great time. Alot of fun and would return again in the future.

Tommorow is breakfast at Chef Mickey's/Cirque D'Solei (so probably dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express) YEAH. I know we are so boring. Well talk to you all tommorow.

Glad you are all having a good time! We always eat at pizza planet and really enjoy it. Okay, I'll make a confession--I didn't really like the Mickey rice krispy treat we got there (gasp!). I'm wondering if they're better at the candy shop freshly made....

Great reviews! Can't wait to read more! Have a great trip while you are there!

Looking forward to reading your live report. We're leaving on 10/26! I'm glad to hear the Chef Mickey's dinner was good as that's one of our ressies, too.

Chef Mickey's Breakfast

Today we had breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We had fun. The food was really good. I love those Mickey Waffles. The cheese omlet was very good also. I will check in later.
