Our little thread of BIG Resort changes*OLD THREAD link on last pg. to new thread!

Sounds like a great time!! Le Cellier....:cloud9: I wouldn't even have to look at the menu. I would get the Cheddar Cheese soup, the Mushroom Filet, and the kids chocolate "Moose".

oooo, me too!!

Very true. Plus more money to start saving for the epic 20th wedding anniversary trip I want to take. Maybe I'll even be able to save up for 1st class air fare.....doubt it, but who can blame a girl for dreaming.
Thank you. that was back when his hair was a little longer than it is now.

I'll probably do a permanent stitch on mine, since I would be willing to wear it again. Heck I might take DH's t-shirt and just keep it as a Halloween nightshirt.

Glad the DH made it back home.

Thank you

If we had to book two rooms, there is no way we would be going back in September.

Very true, but now the fil has me paranoid. We only planned on buying one tire. Well turns on, whoever had this minivan before us, put the wrong size tires on it and the dealership eith didn't notice or ignored it. Discount Tires wouldn't let me buy the size that is on it and would only let me buy what the manufacturer recommends. This means that I have one tire that is an inch bigger than the other three. We just didn't have the money today (according to the DH) to buy the other three. Any way, just the one tire, with a warranty was $190. I almost :faint:

 I hope tomorrow is a better day. The mil had a bad day, so I forced her to have a happy hour tonight. They buy these drinks that come in plastic pouches that you freeze, most of them are like margaritas. The one she bought was called "Blue Hawaiian". As she was in tears, explaining her frustration to the fil, I told her "I am getting you this drink, you will stay away from the office, relax, and drink it."

We got some very interesting mail today. I not only got Mickey Mail, but my DH got a letter from our Congressman. The DH had called the Congressman's office expressing some concerns about the Healthcare Act, and the letter was addressing those concerns. It wasn't a generic form letter, but actually addressed my DH's specific concerns. I was really impressed that he took the time to (more than likely) dictate the letter to someone. Well I was a little less impressed after I read the letter and found several mistakes in it that just about drove me nuts. My grammar isn't the best, and if I could notice them, they were bad ones.

I'm trying to decide if I should text my sister again, teasing her about staying in a haunted hotel. She's in LA for work and is staying at the Biltmore. I keep trying to get her to try and get me a picture of The Black Dahlia's ghost (that supposedly haunts the hotel), but she doesn't see the humor in it.

I work tomorrow and Thursday at the friend's day care, but will hopefully find time to stop by and say hello. For now, nighty night lovelies

wookie Tires are so expensive. That is just crazy that the wrong size are on it !

Ooh I would love to stay in a haunted hotel. I want to stay in the Lizze Borden House sooooo bad

That's all that matters! Glad your happy! :goodvibes

Jen. What were you changing to???? I may have missed it....

GM MM More important Bob is happier now, I hate being on vacation with Grumpy :rotfl2:

Happy Tuesday RCers. Due to the furlough, around our house Tuesday is the new Monday.

Miss-About F&W, going around to the booths is a lot of fun. Visiting earlier in the day is usually less busy. The folks that work the booths are a mix of regular cm's and retirees that work f&w each year. We find most everyone is really pleasant.

Some other things to do-
Sometimes we like to just stop and listen to a bit of whoever is playing at the eat to the beat concert, rather than sitting through a whole concert.

The cranberry bog in future world is always interesting for children.

I read about frozen smores they have for kids and adults at the dessert booth.

If you’re going to be there anyway, the Festival Center has an area that features Ghirardelli chocolate. They usually give away a piece, one to a person. The center is air conditioned, fun to shop. I don’t know if they are planning any seminars or demonstrations that are more family friendly, that would be great if they did.

That crazy show that happens periodically in front of Chefs de France, Serveur Amusant, is a great break for all ages.

And of course, you always have the Agent P adventures.

You guys are going to have such fun! :yay:

Jenny-What change are you pondering?

Sheila-Sounds like you're all set! :goodvibes

Wookie-Tires are not a fun purchase,:headache: good to get it fixed, though.

MM
-Your F&W trip isn't far away! :dance3:

Janet-Loved the pose at Orange Bird booth. :goodvibes

Kook-Hope you and yours are having a wonderful vacation!:dance3:

Pas-Try to get some rest, k? You are one busy lady!

And in other news, it's my birthday today. Dh took me out last night, we had a lovely dinner date, lots of fun! Life is good. :goodvibes

Oh yes! Vacationing with Grumpy is no fun!!!

My DH now has one request...that we be able to walk from our resort to a park. He said that's an absolute must now. He absolutely fell in love with the Epcot resorts and really wants to stay at Boardwalk, but I am getting away with our CR booking based on being able to walk to MK. ;)

:bday:party:

Oh, sooo you have Furlough Monday...

It's Furlough Friday in our house, but funny thing....ever since Furlough started, DH has not had one Friday off. Since he is dual status (active military and fed technician) he has worked military days on his furlough days. I feel kind of bad because he really should take time off, but at the same time, because of this, we are not out any money due to furlough. I am still hoping someone will get their act together and get us out of this mess. :sad2:

F&W trip in 52 days!!!! I am sooooo excited!!!

I finally told my kids that I was going last night (with a little white lie wrapped around it....) they were pretty sad when I started telling them the full on truth, so I tempered it with my needing to go to Florida for work but going to Disney while I am there... :rolleyes1

truth be told, we did just open an office in Tampa....and were invited to go down to check it out, so.....:lmao:

Back when we stayed at the YC the BW was not even built but we loved the boats and walking to Epcot. I don't remember a path to DHS back then either just the boat, but I am getting old and forgetful :rotfl:

But there was a tram you could ride from Epcot to YC at least in the evenings I don't recall it during the day.

Love the Disney Trip Excuse about the Tampa Office :thumbsup2

Be back with a proper reply later (getting Miss M ready for swim class)...

Wanted to say Happy Birthday to our lovely Ginny!
:dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2: :dance3:

(Jen, I see that whistle smiley... what have you been up to, eh??) :thumbsup2

You guys are the best! Thanks MM, Jen, Sheila, Miss and Trish!

It's a very happy day here, I just ordered our UT hopper tickets! :woohoo:

Yay, buying tickets -- a nice little birthday bonus! :goodvibes Thanks for all the tips on F&W, Ginny. We've never done the Agent P missions so I think F&W might be a good time to start. :thumbsup2 Also, might go for the passport to give her something extra to look forward to. She'd happily spend the whole vacation at DHS. :upsidedow

I know. I just don't understand why the dealership that we bought it from, didn't put the right size tires on it before we bought it.

Me too!! I love watching paranormal shows. The only time they bother me, is when I am house/dog sitting for my sister, and I'm in her house all by myself. I usually end up scaring myself, or rather Clancy does when he walks out of the kitchen to walk through the living room to get to the back door, and all I see at first, in a house with very few lights on, is a big black shadow moving.

Happy Tuesday RCers. Due to the furlough, around our house Tuesday is the new Monday.

I'm sorry y'all are both having to deal with that. Hopefully, they will get it worked out soon, and you won't have to deal with the furlough much longer.

Ginny - It must be because it's your birthday....but the end of the furloughs was announced today!!! This is the last week!!!:yay:

Hi Friends! I have been such a slacker! Time has flown by this summer....

Happy birthday Ginny! I love all of your F&W plans. I can't wait for our trip. We are taking two other couples with us and neither have been to F&W before!!!

Congrats to the end of the furlough Ginny and Candace!!! :cool1:

Pas, Koh, Janet, I heart - loved all the trip updates!

I need to book a one night stay for just dh and I. I am torn between going cheap (POP or All Stars) or booking something special. I was leaning towards WL because I know we won't stay there with the kids (most of the rooms only sleep 4). But, it would save nearly $200 to stay at POP. Oh what to do what to do!!!:confused3
