Marie, save the $300...you Diva ladies will be on the go, partying (pub crawling..., dinners, the parks... you won't be around to sit much in the room and enjoy any view..... And it was a good suggestion you made... you can always upgrade at check in when you know your finances better.

Jen, congrats on the upgrade!! Will you be able to take advantage of it??

Just wondering if there might be more of these FD pins going out....as Disney did eliminate the August dates on the public FD offer just released..... As this is our usual time to go, I am sure there are many disappointed people who were expecting FD to include the last 2 weeks of August. Guess Disney feels they don't have to boost attendance that time frame anymore...

No Janet, we cannot use the pin, as we just purchased our AP's. DH was laughing when I told him we would have to buy each of us a 2 day base ticket to get the FD. Not quite worth it! Plus I am looking forward to just eating how we want this time, and getting the TIW card. Just think happy thoughts for us that we can book that BB!!

Well, I have a change to announce! (I don't really get to say that often so that in and of itself is exciting to me. )

Actually, I can blame this change on my hubbo... and you guys. He actually suggested a split. Him. Not me. So I did it. We're staying the first few nights at POP and the last at AKL. It was the amazing RC peer pressure that has me dying to check out AKL. You naughty women, you. Tsk, tsk.

Yowza! That AP sure worked it's magic at warp speed.

Yay for SWW! Definitely try to get there early at least one day to see the Stormtroopers up on the turnstiles!

You warned me about APs. It was warp speed, wasn't it? At the turnstiles? Oh wow. We were thinking of going on the Friday, early... because the thought of going on either the Saturday or Sunday is frightening.

OMG!!!! Wow!! Ecstatically happy for you all....but a tad bit envious!! I keep hearing our Sarah voice right now!

Well, my fav location is bldg 4 or 5, lakeview (which is standard), 4th floor...we could be buddies if I were to be there ..... Miss M would love the Hippy Dippy pool and you all could take a short walk over to AoA, close to Classic Hall and Food court.

That being said, we stayed in the 80s no problem...love Pacman It's a bit further than other areas BUT not bad. We stayed in Bldg 9 - down near the lake view end (close to bldg 7).

Miss M might like the 50s for Lady & Tramp, so bldg 3 would be my vote for that area.

Bottom line... Bldg 4, 5 or 3

She was being rotten last night RIGHT after I booked it... was so tempted to cancel. She was being sweet again this morning though. Durn 6 year olds disguised as teenagers.

Just got a pin for FD with dates for the rest of the year. Figures that when we finally bite the bullet and get AP's we get our first ever pin that we have to actually buy tickets with!!

It is all good, as long as we can get that bounceback booked we are golden!

No email here. That happened to me two years ago though... I got a pin for FD about a week after we got back from our trip.

Hi All!!! Just wanted to do a quick little check in. DH and I are leaving bright and early in the morning (well late morning for most of you!) heading to So Cal. DS and almost DDIL are buying their first house and want us to come take a look at it ... guess it pays to have a retired building inspector and ex real estate agent in the family! We'll be back home Wednesday evening.

I'll be reading along on our little thread .... and you know me I'll probably be posting. Everyone have a great weekend .... try to stay out of trouble until Granny gets back!!! Hugs to all!!!

Awesome Target just opened up here in Canada. I wonder if they have WDW gift cards here! They don't at our Disney Store -something about exchange rates? But they sell park tickets?

Thanks! It's a tad convoluted but at our Target stores here (U.S.), if you have their Red Card (either the debit or credit), you get 5% off all purchases including gift certificates. They sell $50 Disney GCs. Our Disney Stores sell the AP vouchers as well as regular tickets and you can use the GCs to pay for them. The woman at the Disney Store knew exactly what I was doing; she said, "You must have a Target Red Card! That's such a good deal." Phew, I was worried she was going to fuss about it at first.

Well I'm going to hang out with my sister's fur babies tomorrow. My sister posted this pic of Holly, her Beagle, on FB...

The Lady bldg offers pref rooms/std view rooms facing the pool…. pref room on the backside closest to the luggage area. The std rooms will be on the side closest to bldg. 2 and will face the parking lot. Do whatever what will make Miss M the happiest!!!

and I think the POP/AKL split is perfect!!

I actually priced out our first 2 nights at a value/mod vs staying at the Sea World hotel...hehehe. But alas, it's not cost effective, nor practical, especially with the perks we get for staying at the SW hotel.

Hi y'all! We are going in Sept & I have changed resorts 6 times! Lol. Booked POFQ back in Oct hoping for FD then changed it to POP then to AOA then DH said he wanted to stay at a deluxe so changed to WL but I just wasn't happy with WL it just isn't my theme..,

So changed back to POFQ then today I added FD when I had to call & add it for my clients. Then I looked at the POFQ & didn't like the carpet( yea petty I know) so looked st the room only code & now we have settled on BWI so. Called & changed it tonight! The CM was like why would you want to give up free dining?

I'm so excited!!!

The poor baby girl had her teeth cleaned and 3 growths removed and has staples (you can see one of the places on the leg in the left of the pic). My sister and hubby have to work tomorrow and I hate to think of her at home without someone watching her.

OMG my iPhone almost gave me a heart attack. You know how when you put stuff in folders it will have a red bubble with white numbers, like the folder you have your email in. The number of new emails shows in the red bubble? Well I have a WDW countdown thingy (actually 2 of them now) in my WDW folder. I just looked at it and it says 246. I was like what the....??. When I opened it, I realized that each of the apps shows us as being 123 days from our trip and is just adding them together. It just freaked me out. No way I am waiting 246 days to go back to WDW.

I did two Fridays last year. I'm not gonna lie. It was still cray-cray. We didn't even get to see the parade as we skipped it the first time and the second time it was rain delayed for so long that after camping in our spots for an hour, plus the delay we just gave up and took our soggy, grumpy butts back to the room.

We did still really liked SWW overall though. I will definitely do it again. Just seeing the characters out and about was cool even if we didn't line up for many M&Gs.

I ended up not going. My sister stayed home sick from work and has a doctor's appt this afternoon. She thinks it's just a "head cold", but I don't want to take any chances on her getting me sick. I just stayed at home. I laid back down after the DSs got off to school and the DH to work. I thought I pressed the snooze button on my phone when it went off, but I guess I didn't. I didn't get up until just after 1. I guess I needed the sleep.

Thanks. Either my mom or sister pointed out that it was probably for the best. If the dog had torn anything up, or had an accident it could have made for a bad situation. I'm just glad David is willing to get a dog in the future. After Bug died, he said he would never have one again. It was the hardest thing we ever had to do and just thinking about that day still brings me to tears. I can't even drive by the vets office with out the tears coming out either.

Even though I didn't get to puppy-sit, I will get to see the puppies on Sunday. We are having a Mother's Day lunch/birthday lunch for my brother (whose birthday is on Mother's Day this year) at my sister's house.

Is their Grown Up Grilled Cheese anything like the one from Panera Bread? The Panera Bread one has Gruyere, Vermont White Cheddar, organic sliced American cheese and Applewood- Smoked Bacon grilled on our new All-Natural White Miche.

This whole AP thing will change our touring style completely. The thought of just leaving when we've had enough of SWW crowds and catching a boat over toward WS is fantabulouso.

And as for the Poly food talk, now I'm craving some of the sushi from Kona!! Thought about changing our dinner ADR at Tony's to Kona for the scallops and some sushi, but idk if the sushi is considered an app or entree on the DxDP. I would like it to be an app...otherwise we may just have to stop for sushi one evening and pay OOP.

I really, truly didn't have enough for lunch.

I had a bag of white cheddar popcorn. My fil was all about work stuff, and he does he work stuff at the table. My DH thinks it's odd, but I can't eat when he is yelling. The fil's amount of yelling makes me lose my appetite and I literally feel like I'm going to barf. Which is why I usually don't eat anything at all until dinner every day. When they weren't looking, I was able to sneak a bag of white cheddar popcorn into my room after I went to the store. I tend to do that with chip and pre-popped popcorn bags and I put it in a plastic box thingy. Since the popcorn was all I had in my room, it's what I ate. I swear, as little as I eat, you would think I would lose some weight.

We have a PV booked as well. Now that I don't have to worry about requesting a full balcony, like I was going to have to do as my first request at the BC, I just don't know what to request, or how to word it. My DH wants something with as little walk as possible. Would I get that by requesting something near the lobby?

So mad...I took DD4 to the playground by our house and about 7 teenagers come and take over the equipment. Swearing, being sexually inappropriate with eachother, swearing more...I let them have the eye a bit and then asked them to stop cursing around the kids. One of the larger guys then says "What are you going to do about it??? There are 7 of us and only 1 of you, we can do whatever the H**l we want." All the girls just stood and giggled at the boys.

Really, I waited for DD8 to come over, and told her to go home and get Daddy who works for the city. Guess what DD8 says "Daddy is in the bathroom" Finally they scattered when I started walking back towards the house. Told DH that while he was having his after work bathroom meeting I was being threatened by a group of hoodlums!!!

Sometimes being a 5 foot nothing can be a little irritating. Felt a little helpless and stupid. Please please tell me my kids will not end up like that.

Ok, vent over.

Back to our regularly scheduled program....
