I've seen the entire series, although I would've stopped about midway in season 2 if DH hadn't kept watching it. I felt that none of the subsequent seasons were as good as season 1.

I watched part of the first movie and turned it off. No interest in seeing the others although I might watch the recent one if it'd be shown a streaming service I already have.

Years ago, we went to the Downton Abbey costume exhibit at Winterthur in Delaware. I absolutely loved seeing the costumes in person. This was without a doubt my favorite Downton Abbey moment.

The humor in the movies is very subtle, in an English sort of way.

If you like that genre, it will be easier to pick up. I happen to love it.

Never saw season 1 but I’ve seen most of the other episodes in the subsequent seasons. Never saw any of the movies.

Never seen it and have no interest in watching it. British period type dramas just aren't my thing, and usually my mum liking something means I wont like it. So that's alone not to bother with this!

I had forgotten about it, but we went to a similar exhibition at the Biltmore in Asheville, NC in 2020. It had costumes and set recreations, and was really neat. We went right before the pandemic.

Downton Abbey was *the* show for DD and I for years. I first started watching it because it had Maggie Smith in it. I recognized her from the Harry Potter movies and stopped to watch the show on the first episode. By the time Theo James' character died, we were hooked! On the night of the garden party when WWI started, DS came running upstairs to announce the news about Bin Laden's death. We shushed him and ran him out of the room because we couldn't miss one word of that episode. We've seen (and own the DVDs) from the series and movies. We haven't had the chance to see the new movie yet, but I'm sure we'll see it.

I just saw something about that on an old PBS special! - It was a comparison between Biltmore and Highclere Castle (where they filmed D.A.) and it mentioned the exhibit being there!

I went to the one in Boston in 2019, and it was really neat to see some of the costumes and props in person.
