Going to have to talk to the TA tomorrow and see what options we have...

Do we cancel completely or postpone or what...?

MIL is in a morphine induced coma right now. One of the tumors has wrapped itself around the colon and cut it off pretty much. They are saying a day or two or could be a week, but definitely not long. She has a DNR and they're not doing a feeding tube or anything...at least she is finally able to sleep without any pain...

I don't know what to do at this point...

I would do whatever your husband wants. It's his mom.

When my dh went through a 2 month ordeal visiting his dad is ICU in florida while we live in ny( he flew down 6 times for a 5 day visit ) I let him choose.

When he took his dad to hospital for surgery he said "book us F&F!". Then his dad didn't get better and died 2 months later. We went to gf RPC the weekend after the funeral.

For us it was nice to be alone and relax. We mostly hung out at the lounge and resort. We reminisced about dad and it was all good.

However we had a lot of time to prepare and our kids are bigger. Dd was away at school and came home and babysat her bro for the weekend. I think that was good for them too.

Every family is different so do what is best for yours.

I would do whatever your husband wants. It's his mom. I definitely think if we do still go at the scheduled time that I will change a few things so it's a different type of Disney trip and he can have some downtime to recharge so to speak...there are a couple of other options for later in July we could do without having to cancel...and I will definitely ask him what he wants to do, but I am not sure if it's best to have vacation as a buffer before jumping back into work or let him jump back into work right away then vacation...

Anyway, thanks for all the support. You guys are awesome here!

Well I might as well join. WE are at pop with free QSDP. Just found out we will be having my grandson for 6-7 nights. So even though he is 1. That will be 5 of us in a value room with full beds. I'm not really sure I'm on board with that idea. Dh thinks it will be fine.

So looking at mods I can stay at CBR for the full 17 days will be the cheapest. Next would be CSR but only available for our free dining stay. So I would need to stay at either POR or CBR for the first 4 nights. CSR would be my resort of choice. My other options is POR in a garden view room which is a bit more than I want to pay since we are there for 17 days. Eve though CBR is the cheapest the thought of paying almost 1200.00 more for full beds kind of kills it for me. I can also get POFQ for the FD promo and just pay rack rate for the first 4 nights making it 140.00 more over CBR. But I have stayed there a lot and would like to stay somewhere different.

Or just stay at pop. We could get another room but I don't want to do that. Any suggestions? I made ADR's this am just in case but I don't really care about TS meals. tHis is more for the room. I'm just not sure if it will give us that much more room or I'm just waiting money. It has been a bit since we stayed at a moderate.

Just wanted to pop in and check in on your family. Sending prayers for the mil and your family.

I am just super tired from working with the DH. We are leaving sometime on Friday afternoon to go to my mil's family lake house. The in laws need our help with some yard maintenance work that needs to be done. Since it's close to our wedding anniversary, they are renting us a hotel room near by and the boys will stay the nights with them at the lake house.

Krystal I just popped on to see what everyone is up to and read about your DMil I will keep your family in my prayers.

I only read back a few pages but noticed a lot of new faces and want to say Hi and to All

You know it's so hard! That's why we have our own thread

Traveling with only one bathroom you really need to work out a bathroom schedule. Maybe some shower at night others in morning.

Also if someone gets up earlier we usually hang out in the bath area. I will put a chair there and have my coffee. My dh on the other hand will go for a walk and let us sleep. ( we do rope drop but if one up at 6 am others want to sleep til 7-7:30)

Bedtime too. Dd and I stay later at parks and let guys go and relax with their tv time. Then when we get back 9-12a they usually asleep and we just quietly get ourselves ready and go to bed.

Last as a mom I laid out clothes for next day the night before. Kids grown now but I still lay mine out. I am so tired at disney in the morning I need my coffee to think

Also POP is my fav value.,I have stayed there many times. It's nice to have a lake at a value.

Thanks again all for the prayers. DH said her stats were dropping last night, but I haven't gotten any updates this morning yet. (He stayed at the hospital last night). Took the kids up to see her (and FIL) for a bit yesterday. Can't tell if FIL is still holding on or not... :-/

A value room is tight with an infant with all the baby gear let alone adding on 4 adults is rough. That said, it sounds like 4 of you together for 17 days (awesome trip by the way) will work out fine, so maybe all will be A-Ok! Espicialy for the price difference I wouldn't want to pay that much more..we had two rooms at Pop and there were 3 adults and 5 kiddos it was cramped. How much more is an extra room? It would be great with a little one to have the extra space.
