Sometimes you look back and wonder why, when, how? You wonder what makes the kids do what they do. Certainly many things mold a child, and they all add up to help them be what/who they grow and develop into.
With Vince now a firefighter/paramedic, Marie and I sometimes wonder how that all came about. We both often comment about the picture below, one we both remember, one of little Vince, maybe 2, or there about at the time, in his little red fire truck. I think he used to live in that, LOL.
I have mentioned to Marie on a number of occasions that if she came across that picture to let me have it so I could share here. She came across it in the past few days, and here it is. We do realize so much more goes into it all, but we smile when we think of and see this picture, a great memory it is.

How old is he now? My daughter is almost 2 and I can't believe how fast time is going since I've had her.
He love of what he is doing in life started young! 
Last time I painted that doorway, I noticed all the little feet prints too! 
But I started thinking. I wonder if what brought that on with her was her senior year of high school when we found I'm diabetic. She used to give me my injections every morning. Hmmm...wonder if that lead to the interest in nursing. I remember one of her chosen vocations in middle school was a nun. 
I'm not quite sure what she does now. LOL! Some careers are like that. She was writing computer manuals and training for custom programs her company did. But now she has some people under her and is still in the training type stuff. But I'm not sure what she does specifically. All I know is that she LOVES her job!
