~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

Well.. this one is hard. I don't think I have a "set" thing we do.. maybe in the future it will change when we have been a few more times. But one thing we tend to do.. which doesn't deal with a park is going swimming in the evening when we return to the room and if we plan on not going out.. we swim.

hmm.. If we are in the parks, we mostly wait for fireworks and then when there done we leave. Sorry nothing exciting here. hehe

Usually in the morning- we arrive early and look for characters for pictures.

Hey, those are good answers! We love late night swimming.

What is the first thing you must do in every park and what is the last thing you must do in every park before going home?

First thing...
MK - Space Mountain! I have lots of great memories of literally running back to Tomorrowland with the whole family at park opening cutting through the Plaza Restaurant to get back there before everyone else!
Epcot - Spaceship Earth
HS - ToT
AK - Safari

I don't really have anything that I HAVE to do last, whatever I didn't get enough of during our stay! :goodvibes

I'm so sad Space Mountain will be closed this trip! :guilty:

Everyone is forgetting to ask me a question today! :rotfl:

Everyone is forgetting to ask me a question today! :rotfl:

I know :sad1: I know my DBF would have loved it, too.

Nah I didn't forget I just couldn't think of anything good :rotfl:

Hmmm.... What is your earliest memory at/of Disney?

Question of the Day...

Today's question comes from lizet313!

What is the first thing you must do in every park and what is the last thing you must do in every park before going home?

The first thing in each park, let's see...
MK-Space Mountain! So sad it's closed!
Epcot-get fastpasses for Soarin
DHS-used to be TOT/RNRC, but now with Toy Story Mania opened our plan of attack has changed!
AK-Expedition Everest

We don't really have a set last thing in each park. We just sort of do whatever we haven't gotten to do yet or just one of our favorites.

Oh okay.

My answer to your question: I remember my first time going. I was almost 4 years old. Yes, I remember way back to then! There was some show in front of the castle and we watched it from this area that had several benches and I think a roof maybe. I remember standing on the bench with my mom standing next to me with her arm around me so I didn't fall. Dad was on the other side of me with the camcorder taping the show. I remember being in awe of all the characters. :goodvibes

Toy Story Mania is awwwwwesome!

Hollywood Studios--take a picture of the hat

Animal Kingdom--go look at the Tree of Life

Lasts:

My question: What is the one meal you have to do every trip?

Ooooh those are all good things!

My answer to your question: We have to do Chef Mickey's and Tony's. We try for CM's our first night, but this trip we couldn't get it on that night. But we're still going there. And Tony's we try for our last night and got it this trip too!

We haven't done one particular table service regularly yet, but Crystal Palace is looking like it's going to be a contender for the future.

For counter service meals, we always have a Casey's, a Toy Story Pizza Planet, and almost always a Pizzafari and a Flame Tree.

Thanks to you, I'm very hungry now!

I don't have one after my trip in March I might tell you more in detail.

Out of all the resorts, hotels etc. What is your favorite theme and why?

I missed several questions...I was oot helping my bro move out of his dorm room!

Ok, favorite show:
Tie between the Little Mermaid Show - when I was little, after the very first time my parents took me to Disney, I wanted to be her. The girl in the show. Ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, and that was my answer - and also Fantasmic. I just think it is so cool. :thumbsup2

First and last thing to do in every park:
I can come up with a few things, but I only have a few very specific things.
I ALWAYS want to go to MK first, to see the castle.
And I ALWAYS want MK to be the last park I go to, because I want one last glimpse of the castle, and I also want PhilharMagic to be my very last ride. It just has so many great characters, and so much great music!

For the December trip, the first thing we will do at DHS is get a FP for TSM! I didn't get to ride it when I was there last September, and I was bummed. So it is a priority for this trip. Everest will probably be first at Animal Kingdom, and either FOTLK or Kali River Rapids will be last (if I am going to get wet, I am going to go change)

Epcot, Test Track will probably be last, cause I like riding it at night. :)
And Fantasmic will be last, perhaps, at DHS.

Really, my only stipulations on this question are that I like MK first, to see the castle, and Philharmagic last. :)

One meal I have to do every trip....hm.....
Well, for my family, that is Crystal Palace. We eat there every time. Sometimes more than once. For me personally, I love Liberty Tree Tavern (weird?). I just do. I'd like to eat there every time. popcorn::

And finally, a question for you?
What has been your favorite pixie dust surprise ever? (an upgrade, a short line for a really awesome ride, seeing a hard to find character...?)

:cutie:

What is the one meal you have to do every trip?

Wow. Little 'ole me? Aw, shucks. :goodvibes

For us, it's Crystal Palace. First character meal we ever had and will remain the first character meal for every trip. We have some Pooh lovers in our family.

Ahh I missed yesterday buuuuut I don't think we really have a set thing of what we have to do first and last anyway. :confused3

What meal will we do everytime we go back? I would say we'll have to get Tonga Toast every visit so either Capt. Cooks or Kona for that and after seeing the mayham that is Fantasmic now we'll definitely do Mama Melrose for the package. (Unless we decide to upgrade and go for the Hollywood Brown Derby one time LOL)

What is the one meal you have to do every trip?

Well.. the one meal we always do is at Coral Reef. We always go to Coral Reef-it was out first table service restaurant and ended up being our favorite soo far. idk why.. it just has a special touch to it for us. We always both get the steak. yummy.. I can't wait for that. I have been craving all the disney food the last couple days, after looking at the menus. hehe

My question: Is there any item that you have to buy each trip?
Mine is always the disney cheerleading tshirts.

My gosh I am so out of the loop, I'm sorry. My answer for today is...

Our old meal not to be missed was the Garden Grill at Epcot. We love the food and the characters are awesome there. However the past few trips we've come to LOVE Teppan Edo even better as far as the food goes. It's so delicious! The one meal my kids have to do is Chef Mickey's. Not because the food is better but because of where and what it is. That makes Disney real for us! KWIM?

Haha, you're welcome MeMom!

Okay, can't wait!

My answer to your question: I love the Poly. I've never been to Hawaii, but I like to pretend I'm there at the Poly. And for some reason, I always just feel so comfortable there. Plus, I LOVE Hawaiian food.

Hey! Hope moving your bro went good. I came home yesterday! WOO!

Those are both good shows for me too!

We always have to do the MK first and last.

We rode TT once at night. It was crazy!

I love the LTT's place..I don't like the food though sorry.

My answer to your question: Whoa, that's hard..Oh I got one! This is when we were staying at the Contemporary. We were used to getting rooms in the wing buildings, which was fine with us. But, Dad comes back from checking us in and said that we had been upgraded to a tower room overlooking Bay Lake! It was so exciting!

So Far it has been Rose and Crown and 50s' Prime Time!

Haven't been to either one!

Wow. Little 'ole me? Aw, shucks. :goodvibes

Hello my dear.

I was so glad you were at Mama Melrose. Haha. I had fun texting you that night. Especially when you saw Kevin!

The Coral Reef is so fun!

My answer to your question: I have to buy something Tinkerbell. It's usually either a picture frame or a statue of some sort. Always.

Chef Mickey's is a must for us. I know exactly what you mean. It feels like Disney to us too!

Easy question for me. . .if I could take any celebrity with me to Disney, it would have to be Taylor Swift. I think she is a great role model for young girls and would like my daughters to meet her.
