Attraction of the Day...

WaterMice

Okay, we call them the Mouse Boats. While staying at the GF, Poly, Contemporary, and WL we always spent one day doing the Mouse Boats and hanging out by the pool. I remember way back when I was younger and we were staying at the GF. Mom and Sis were in one Mouse Boat and Dad and I were in the other. We're out in the middle of the Seven Seas Lagoon and all of a sudden Dad and I's boat stops! Dad tries to get it running again, but it just wouldn't. I was younger then, so I started freaking out. I thought we were going to be stuck out there forever. So, we waited and waited for one of the life guard people to drive by...FINALLY we got one's attention and they pulled us back to the GF dock. Okay, that doesn't sound as scary as it was to me at the time!

Oh no!!! That's horrible!!

We saw the original at Disneyland in 2006 and got some great pix. It was a lot of fun when my daughter was 2, but I don't think the kids would get into it as much at 6 and 7. Maybe though...

I WISH we'd done this at California Adventure in 2006 but I can't WAIT to get to see it this Sept!!! I'm very very excited for this one. I think the technology is so neat.

I'm glad that pp told the back story. Now it makes a lot mores sense to me. But I think a truly Dinosaur-centered land would've been better than the kitzche (spelling?) of this one.

I think the girls look cute but my daughter will NOT keep that in- although I hear they spray it like rock so she prolly wouldn't have a choice!

Share a Dream Come True Parade

Never seen it yet. Except for MNSSHP and MVMCP (someday) I can actually take or leave parades. I'd much rather be doing attractions than standing in one place, unless I'm eating something I guess....

So I'm all caught up, pretty much, I think.

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade

Never seen this yet! Can't wait...

Attraction of the Day...

Illuminations

Okay, I can't even remember how long ago this was. But, it was when we were still going to WDW over Spring Break, so it was when I was in grade school. We were at Epcot for the night and getting ready to find a spot for Illuminations. We found a good one, I can't remember where though! But, Sis and I stood on something when the show started while Mom and Dad stood behind us. I remember while we were waiting for the show to start, it got rrrrrreally cold and we even had our sweatshirts on! So, Dad went off and brought us all back some hot chocolate. I remember thinking it was so funny to be drinking hot chocolate in Florida.

Love illuminations! It's funny you say that about the hot chocolate, I felt the same way in November at MVMCP! Hot chocolate and FL just don't come together in my mind.

To be honest I had to look it up! I was thought that's where it is but then I was like if I tell her that and it's wrong someone's going to correct me and then I feel like an idiot. I have brain farts all the time (actually if you ask by bf I live in a constant brain fart, I can't remember anything for the life of me) Anyway...Attraction of the Day!

I love Illuminations, not really sure why but my favorite one was when I went to Disney with my High School band and my mom was a chaparone(sp?) and we ended up watching Illuminations together just the two of us and it seemed so much better. It was great watching it with my mom.

Actually that trip ended up being a sortof mother daughter trip because the people I was with just didn't want to do anything (now I'm a commando kinda person at disney and they just were taking their dear old time so I ended up spending the time with my mom so it actually worked out for the better cause we had a great time.)

So Illuminations is my favorite nighttime show...but I'm not sharing my memory because it's going to be in my TR and i dont wanna give it away yet because its hilarious! I'll tell you this, the things Chris was saying made me spit my coffee out!

First off, about the Hot Choc. Yesterday my DH and I were at his little bros baseball prac. and I said.. Hot Choc. would be perfect right now.. its not cold.. just a little chilly.. hehe When we go in Jan. to Disney- in the morning- its perfect weather for Hot Coco!

I haven't seen this.. but plan to.. we will see!

Why were you amazed with the elevator?! I gotta know these things!

Well I can't tell you.. its a surprise! It's nothing BIG.. just something cool happens! Unless they changed it.. but that would be weird.. if they did.


DTD Marketplace


Well.. I actually haven't been there enough to pick all of my fav. shops. But my absolute fav. is Wide World of Disney store. It's so big.. like you said and have soooo much to choose from.

and Idk if the Team Mickey is the same store. But I like going into the sports one.. that has disney characters with different sports- shirts. I always get a new Disney World cheerleading shirt.. i have to.. Even though I don't coach anymore.. and not involved in cheer at all.. I still love it.

Oh how I love this parade. Brings back SO many memories of my trips. We've seen it so many times that if we miss it a trip, it's alright with us. But, sometimes we manage to be at a part of the park where we can hear it going by and I have to dance and sing along. And doing that embarasses Sis.

I love Spectro. We always stake out a spot and then I go and get Casey's. There is no better feeling then sitting on Main Street eating a hot dog and hearing the Spectro music start.

Isn't it exciting waiting for the parade and then out of nowhere they dim the lights and the music starts?! Sometimes it's them saying that it's 5 minutes until the parade starts which makes me mad that it was a false start!

By the way Jill, I love the threat you used on MeMom. We all know she hates us seeing pictures of her.
