~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

We love Jammin Jungle Parade. It is Brooklynn's favorite Disney World parade. We youtube it probably once a week and she waves to the characters on the computer like they are really waving at her. She has been talking about taking Isabella to see it and showing her how to wave. I definitely can't wait to be there with a frozen lemonade and hearing the music as the parade is just out of sight!

Dream Along with Mickey

Okay, the only bad thing about this show is: 1) no seats 2)no roof. It gets hot standing out there in the blistering sun! But...I loved seeing this show for the first time. It was crazy seeing the eyes and mouths move!

I've never seen it. But it's on my to do list. I plan on watching it for an early morning show so it won't be so hot. Here's to planning!

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade

I thought this parade was so cute! But, it can be a pain when you're getting off a ride and trying to get out! We were getting off the Safari and ended up walking right up to the parade crowd, which was HUGE because the parade was almost to where we were. We were trying to hurry and get out of their way because we didn't have time to stay and watch- we had a bus to catch to get to our ADR! THAT was an interesting adventure. Luckily, we all know where we're headed and if we ever get separated, we know where to meet up.

I haven't done this one, either. But in 2 planned afternoons at Animal Kingdom, I think I'll make it this year!

As for the Jammin Jungle Parade - in all the trips we have been to AK we have never seen the parade!
Think it is because we never stay the whole day at AK - we usually come first thing and leave after lunch sometime. How bad is that?

I would love to see it this time as it looks really good and I am sure the girls would love it too.

Oh I know what you mean about not making it to the parade. Sometimes things just never work out. Maybe you should plan on getting there after lunch-that way you'll be there for the parade!

The only time I've ever seen the AK parade was when we got trapped by it last July. I remember watching the floats going by and thinking "maybe this is the last float?"...."okay, this one?"....."this HAS to be the end by now"..."okay. another one."...

We eventually made it through, but I'm not such a fan of the parade. Actually, I can live without most of the parades except for Spectromagic. I am a HUGE Spectro fan but I don't mind missing the other ones.

I love this parade!!! Best memory....that picture at the beginning of my TR when the characters came up to the kids and played with them. My friend Farrah was one of the people chosen to be in the parade last year! Now that was cool!

Block Party Bash

This is one of the things that I haven't done at DHS. But, I have seen some great pictures on TR's! Could someone tell me more about it?

OMG it is so stinking cute and sooo much fun. It made me want to get up and dance with all the kids. The music is loud, fun bright colors, and the characters are fun. I love the Toy Story characters.

We did this last summer. We picked a spot early so we would be at the first stop. By a little bit of Disney magic we were right in front of where the Monsters Inc float stopped. This was when Brooklynn was obsessed with MichaelSulley. She had just gotten a little stuffed Sulley from MeMom and then there was the "real" Sulley right in front of her. All the characters interacted with her and she loved it!

I will say it is very loud so be prepared for that! I still miss the Stars and Motor Cars parade. This one is fun but I don't really like the fact you only get to really see the part that stops in front of you.

That Jammin Jungle Parade story is kind of funny. I hate running into parade crowds too! I think I've only seen that parade once and it was probably like in 2004 (I don't even know if it was the same parade but it was in AK!)

I did NOT like the Block Party Bash! We were about to leave and it was the first week they did it and a CM was like THERES SOME REALLY GOOD SEATS RIGHT HERE FOLKS IT IS GOING TO BE A GREAT PARADE YOU CAN'T MISS THIS ITS ONE OF A KIND! So we decided to watch and we hated it. Maybe its changed since then and it WAS the first week so I'm sure they've fixed problems but otherwise....eh.

Thanks for the pics, MeMom! I remember seeing them. "Boo" is so adorable and looks just like she does in the movie. I love watching the characters interact with little kids.

Ooo I loved the Block Party Bash, it was so much fun. But it was so hot standing there waiting for it, I nearly melted. We had this horribly rude woman standing by us though who just pushed right in front of everyone at the last minute and then kept pushing closer and closer to me, I was not impressed
