Attraction of the Day...

Peter Pan

Well you can obviously tell from "tinkgurl" that I love Tinkerbell and the movie Peter Pan! ;)...This memory is from a long time ago..we were on Peter Pan, I was sitting with dad and sis was with mom. We were going by the part where Peter and Capt.Hook are fighting on that part of the ship...which I used to be scared of Capt.Hook so I'd close my eyes at that part. Then, the ride STOPS! At that part! We were there probably 30 minutes! But, during that 30 minutes, dad helped me get over my fear of Capt. Hook. :)

I'll never forget how badly my brother wanted to go on Peter Pan on our trip in '05. I don't think he's seen the movie in years but he claimed it's his favorite Disney movie ever and despite a long line, he was waiting and getting on the ride. It was so out of character for him that I cracked up!

Your brother said Peter Pan was his favorite Disney movie?! :scared1:

I love Peter Pan! I love all the Fantasyland rides. That is what I remember the most about my very first trip to Disney, is Fantasyland, so it is always what I think of first when I think of what Disney is (to me)! I know, I sound like a total cheeseball, but it's the truth!

I always think of the MK first! :lovestruc

Girl this report is SO long! I just wanted to comment and tell you I'm trying my best to catch up and I love it!!

I remember being a little girl with my Great Grandma riding this ride in Disneyland. I really thought we were flying...It was thrilling.:cloud9: I loved the scene of the town and countryside below, I felt like I was up so HIGH!! I was 5 or 6 at the most.

Ooo my biggest memory of PP is that it was one of our first ever rides at Disney, on our first trip to DLP. We just thought it was so amazing and so magical, so although some people (like Nick) think its really lame, it always holds sentimental memories for us.

i don't have any specific peter pan memories even though i love that ride.

i don't really have a specific memory of philharmagic, but my favorite part of it is taking pictures in the supercool glasses. we do it every time. here are the last 5 trips. i know you love the pics like i do!!!

Aw, it's so sad some people think it's lame!

Now this is the Dawn that I know and love! :rotfl:

Attraction of the Day...

Mickey's PhillharMagic

Oh I love this attraction! :lovestruc I love singing and dancing along to all the songs. It's so funny seeing the kids reach out to things like the jewelry and treasures during the Ariel scene. And during the "Be Our Guest" scene, I always jump when the blow the air at you several times. But my favorite part? Flying on the magic carpet with Aladdin and Jasmine and flying with Peter Pan and Tink!

There aren't enough words in the English language to express my love of Philharmagic. :wizard: I totally cried the first time we did it during the Peter Pan and Aladdin portions. It just sums up everything about Disney that I love in one neat little package. :goodvibes

Aw, that's so cute that your dad helped you get over your Capt. Hook fear while you were stuck!

I love Peter Pan. :goodvibes I remember the first time we rode it, I rode with my DBro who was seven at the time. Being the big sister, I thought I would emphasize the magic and said, "Look! We're really flying!" And my DBro7 looks at me all patient-like and goes, "No we're not. We're hanging from a track on the ceiling." I still tease him about how he "ruined" the magic of PP for me by pointing that out. :lmao:

PhilharMagic is so great! It's upsetting though, my sister can't do this one..it gives her motion sickness. :guilty:

Aw, he caught on to the not really flying thing huh?! Well I still like to pretend.

Me, too. I still get quite a kick (at age 51) of flying through the air with Peter Pan and friends! :)

Brooklynn always puts her glasses on upside down at Philharmagic. Always.
Same thing at Toy Story.

I'm headed off to school. I'll check in on the Attraction of the Day later this morning. Have a great FRIDAY!!!! :dance3:

Haha, Brookie is so cute! Have fun at work! ;)

Attraction of the Day...

Pirates

Oh, we have so much love for this one! :lovestruc Especially now that they've added Capt. Jack Sparrow. One memory that comes to mind about this ride is actually about the queue line! We were stuck in this one spot FOREVER in line so my B/F got the idea to idea a penny behind one of these things that were on the wall and then we'd see if it was still there the next time we rode Pirates during the trip. So...a few days later, we get in line on the same side (the left) and when we got to the hiding place-it was still there!

I  POTC! (Mostly I love all Disney attractions....) I have one memory of riding it when we were young, before my sister was old enough to go to WDW, and my mother was trying to cover my brother's eyes during the Tortuga scene! HA HA!
My other favorite memory is more of a tradition than a memory, but we always try to speak "Piratese" before, during, and usually after the ride! :rotfl:

Haha both of those memories are so funny! :rotfl:

Ok, I'm attempting to get caught back up!!!

I'm picking and choosing some attractions, because quite a few I don't have one, or have never ridden.

Voyage of the Little Mermaid-LOVE it. My favorite part is at the beginning and they do the "Under the Sea" part with all the bright puppet things, it just puts me in the best mood!

Philharmagic-LOVE it too. I agree with everyone else's comments, its just the epitome of Disney magic. I get motion sickness too and have to close my eyes during a few parts, although I noticed this trip that it didn't bother me as much. But I am just in love with this show, I vividly remember the first time we did it, my mom and I were in AWE.

Peter Pan-no real distinct memories, unfortunately we hardly ever ride it because the line is always ridiculous, but I love it. I remember riding it as a child and it being my favorite.

Pooh-when I was in college my best friend at the time and I went to Disney for a long weekend to see her mom who lived a few hours away. That trip was the first time I'd ridden Pooh, and when we got to the Tigger part we just cracked up, I thought it was so awesome. We are no longer friends, but that is such a good memory from some of the good times we had.
