~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

It's nice you do the same meal at the end of every trip. What a nice tradition to have. Bittersweet, though.

QOTD : I would probably ask him if he could believe all that had developed out of his ideas? That people continued on with his vision after he was gone?

1 month from today...

1 month from today will be June 30th. Our last full day. :sad1: Our last waking up to Dad making coffee, our last getting ready while mom makes breakfast, our last eating while watching Stacy, our last sitting out on the patio deciding what we really want to ride today...BOO! I hate this day!

Of course, those of you who know me and have caught on by now, you can guess we're spending our last day at the MK!

We'll go there getting everything in that we want to again. We'll be trying to soak it all into our minds so we can remember what it's like until next year.

We'll eventually make our way to our 6:30 p.m. ADR at Tony's. The place we must eat at on our last night of every trip. While we look forward to the food there, it's also dreaded because it's our last meal at WDW.

After eating, we'll go do some more things before calling it a night. We have to get up early the next day and get on the road. And here's where I'll start crying. Not hard, but tears rolling down my cheeks.

We'll walk down the middle of Main Street and when we get to the end, we'll turn around and take one last good look at the Castle. Last year, I couldn't even look at the Castle I was crying. I'm a big, ol' sap. I admit it.

There's only two good things that come out of leaving WDW:
1) We have to leave in order for our next trip to start!
2) Coming home to see my little guy! I'll be missing him like crazy!

Question of the Day...

Today's question comes from lizet313!

If you could meet Walt, what would you say to him?

Don't worry... I always cry our on last day in WDW.. especially on the bus back to the airport... the only good thing is that dbf is a sucker when i cry and always reminds me that we can go back. :lmao::cutie

I have no idea what i'd ask Walt if i could meet him.. i'd probably ask him to go for lunch.

My sentiments exactly. . .

DH says I'm having an affair with Walt. That he's lost me to Walt Disney.

My question: what is one ride that you would create for Disney World that is not there presently?

LOL! Poor DH!

My answer to your question: I REALLY want the Little Mermaid ride that they show in the bonus features on the DVD!

Yes it is bittersweet for sure!

Good questions to ask!

Aw yeah!

Wanted to drop by and say Hello! I promise I'm not ignoring you. Slowly but surely I am getting caught back up! Can you believe it!? Your trip is so close now! I tried to get that pic for you again this time but everytime I could do it the rain was pouring! I got some of the kids in the test tracks sample cars though. Wasn't that your other choice?

No! Not the dreaded last day!!! June 30 will be ours too and I can't even think about it--I always cry too and DF always says we will be back for <fill in the blank here> Last time in 2007 it was, "When we come back, we will be married & on our honeymoon." I have to admit that perked me up just a little. I am hoping this year when the tears start flowing it will be: "Don't worry we will be back for our 1 year anniversary!" :goodvibes

To answer your question, if I could ask Walt something it would probably be just to walk around all of WDW with him and see his reaction to it...and ask him if it fufilled his vision...I think that would be pretty cool.

We are both so lucky, it is almost GO time!!! :thumbsup2
Looking forward to more, as always.

Question of the Day...

What ride could you ride over and over and over and never get tired of it?

tower of terror!!!! the small line we always encounter and the pre-show and waiting for an elevator is JUST enough time to get over the butterflies in your tummy to go do it again! i love that ride.

Question of the Day...

Today's question comes from lizet313!

If you could meet Walt, what would you say to him?

thank you!!!!!

what she said. :thumbsup2

If I met Walt I would just hug him. I don't know if there are words to say to someone like him!! :wizard:

WOW very sad :sad1:but luckily it hasn't happened yet. So we have something to look forward to.

WOHOO I must have really good questions.

OK If I saw Walt I would probably say Thank you and ask him a lot of questions to get to know him better. I love all his ideas and how in some of the films he always says remember it all started with a mouse. I love that mouse :cloud9:

My question to you is

If you could stop one time in your trip where would it be and when?

Hi Tammy!! Aw the stupid rain! But yep, the TT sample cars was my other choice!!

Haha, ToT does make my nervous in line and the pre-show!

Haha, you're like the only one who asks me questions anymore.

Good answer!

My answer to your question: It'd have to be right in the middle of the trip...and while we're at the MK of course!

1 month from today...

1 month from today will technically be July 1st. The worst day ever.

We'll wake up bright and early. Get ready and make sure we have everything out of the room. We'll say one last goodbye before closing the door.

We'll head to the car...and back out...and drive away. Goodbye "home"!

The part that I hate the worst is driving out of the WDW gates and it says "See ya real soon!" :sad2::sad1::guilty:

We'll head back through Georgia and stay the night in Nashville again. Of course, we'll stop back at the mall and eat at Rainforest Cafe again.

We'll go to bed and I'll be ready to get home and see my little guy!

Question of the Day...

If you could go to only one park while at WDW, which one would you choose and why?

Easy... Magic Kingdom!! Although I LOVE Epcot, there is really nothing like the Magic Kingdom. There is so much amazing detail and I love the castles and the fireworks and Sonny Eclipse and Dole Whips and Slash Mountain and the TTA and Spectromagic and HM and IASW even though the song drives me crazy! Of course, the MK also has Cinderella's Castle!!

Ahh, it's such an amazing place!:lovestruc

QOTD!

It would have to be the Magic Kingdom of course because you can't go to Disney and not go to MK :)

Easy answers, huh guys?!

QOTD: That is such a toss up between MK and Epcot. On my DD's 1st trip in 2006, we only went to MK. This past January was my DH and DD's first time at Epcot and it's now their favorite park! Hmm...if it really came down to it, I'd have to pick MK. There is so much to do and explore that I never get bored!

QOTD:

NO question about it, I pick the Magic Kingdom. There's just so much magic all around from the littlest things to the castle... and Wishes is just an added bonus.

I'm conflicted about this question, and here's why. I would have to agree w/ everyone else and say the MK, but.... we get to go to Disneyland at least once a year out here in California (sometimes more) and the MK is so much like Disneyland, that when we actually make it out to Florida we are so excited to see all of the other parks. There is definitely something magical about the MK, but when I plan our trip I think I get most excited about Epcot. I love when it is dusk and we are walking around World Showcase when all of the lights are coming on.

My question for you: What is your favorite spot in all of WDW? When you close your eyes, where do you picture yourself?

FIRST OF ALL - CONGRATS ON GETTING INTO THE GRAD PROGRAM! That is awesome! Also, um, I just noticed that your ticker is like REALLY getting close!! CRAZY! You must be excited! (Mostly because Eddie got an extension and will be at Rose and Crown until July so you can finally see him with your own eyes :lmao:) But seriously, you must be getting really excited!

OK, hopefully this will all fit!

Share a Dream Come True Parade - NO idea what this is and I don't think I've ever seen it/done it?
Cirque Du Soleil - AWESOME!!
Disney Quest - I'm not a video game girl so I don't think I want to waste quality time that could be spent in the Florida sun.
DTD Marketplace - I'll go with World of Disney! LOVE that place. Great for convincing you that you need 10 new things that you really, actually, don't. :thumbsup2 Good times.
Illuminations - No flames, please. I just really don't think it's that great. Went with a first time last weekend and made her at least watch it to see if she liked it, but she got bored so we left. Did it used to be different? The first time I saw it in 2004 I swear it was better.
Spectro & Wishes - Two of my favorites! Must do's! Wishes makes me cry. For like, 10 minutes, I really have hope that my wishes CAN come true.

Question of the Day..

Favorite park and why? Okay, MK should be everyone's favorite by default because it is the original, so I'll go with EPCOT as my "favorite".

One ride in each park? MK - Pirates. AK - Safari. DHS - THE AMERICAN IDOL EXPERIENCE! Love this. Epcot - No favorite.

How many times have I been and how many do I think I'll go?- Let's see, I went about once a year from ages 2-6. Then I went when I was 12, then from 17-20 I went once a year. Last year I also went for my birthday, then twice this year. I think that is a total of about 12! With *hopefully* one last hurrah this December to "celebrate" my graduation! So after 2009, I hope to be lucky enough to go at least every other year.

If I could stay at any resort, which would I choose? I'd say Boardwalk. It's one I haven't really thought about but have been interested in lately. I've been lucky enough to try a lot of the other resorts, so this seems like a good choice.

If I could live in any park? Animal Kingdom!

Favorite spot to chill/relax/people watch? I love snacking around the World Showcase in Epcot, so really anywhere around there where I can find a bench! I LOVE peoplewatching!!

Favorite show? Beauty and the Beast! So cute, it's like a mini-musical!

First/last thing in every park before I go home? I don't really have specifics, but I do have a must-do list and won't leave until I do everything I wanted!

Must do meal? Ohana!!!! I seriously would not go to WDW if I couldn't eat dinner there. I'm TOTALLY serious, too.

Take any celebrity to WDW? Hmmmm...do baseball players count as celebrities because I would totally go with Manny Ramirez. I love him and he acts so goofy that I'm sure he would have fun with it all.

Least favorite ride? Well, I'll go with Rock n Rollercoaster. Mostly because I don't waste my time on rides that I don't like, but this one I will still do it is just not my favorite. Does that make sense? I just don't like to go upside down!

What do I look forward to most when planning? Choosing a resort and planning my ADR's!

If I could add a resort... I think that they pretty much have it covered!

Favorite non-park restaurant? That would have to be...the Plaza at MK, I think.

Favorite souvenier? These are hard! I have a stuffed animal stitch that is adorable.

What holiday would I like to go to WDW for? I'll say Halloween. I'm so sick of skanky halloween costumes around campus. I'd like to have some good clean fun for once!

What character would I want to be? Definitely Cinderella.

Favorite country to eat at/what do I order?I NEED a pretzel from Germany every time! I like to order it in German, LOL! If drinks count then I'd have to say an English Rose from the Rose & Crown!

Memorable experience with a character? When I was like 4 I was obsessed with Minnie and got a Minnie purse in the GF gift shop before we went to MK. My dad has it on tape of me getting to the park and getting too nervous to go see Minnie. Then she pointed at my purse and loved it and I finally got a picture with her. Then I thought I was SO COOL!!

Favorite MK treat? Dole Whip!

What former attraction do I miss most? The 70's/80's club at Pleasure Island! Does that count? I'm such a dork, LOL!

What ride will I never go on? Mission Space! Creepy!

What ride will I never get tired of? Kilimanjaro Safari!

If I met Walt, I'd say THANK YOU. Thank you for creating a place where you can bring smiles to people's faces and a place where you can leave the real world behind for a little while.

If I could only go to one park, I'd choose Ahhh. EPCOT for the World Showcase and MK for Spectro and Wishes. I CAN'T PICK!
