~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

YEY that's Two of my questions they must be good.

:dance3::dance3::dance3:

Ok well I know your answer now let me share my answer with you.

If I could add a resort it will be based on Mickey, Minnie and Trains.

Different sections

Mickey through the years w/ a mickey face pool. The Love Mickey and Minnie have w/ a heart shaped pool. Trains because Walt loves trains and I do too picnic area.

It will be very toony (Is that even a word) :rotfl:

I am not sure of the train section it might be alittle more sophisticated but I am not sure lol :rotfl2: Look at me going on and on with my plans ok that is enough.

My question to you will be...

If you can invent a Disney Theme what would it be? (For Example: A year of a million dreams, What would you celebrate?)

1 MONTH 1 DAY

Haha, I thought it was a good question because you had me thinking HARD!

Oh I would love that Resort!!! Good idea!

My answer to your question: Oh boy...I would do...Remembering Mickey Through the Years...and everything would have all the different Mickey's from when he started to now. :confused3

Yay for 1 month and 1 day!

If I could add a resort... hmm... I would build a castle resort! Not Cinderella's castle because that's already in the MK... but maybe like the castle from Snow White or Beauty and the Beast or something? I think a massive castle would be soooo much fun. OH! And the pool could be the moat going all the way around! Or the moat could be a lazy river and there could be other pools. I would have princesses constantly hanging around for autographs, a medieval feast dinner, horse stables with trail rides....

Wow, I could just plan it forever and ever.:rotfl:

I would love that!!!

I am officially making this my 500th post! Wahoo! Um...well, my first thought was a castle, but since Miss Autumnpalm used that one...I'll have to come up with something else. ;)

I think it would be fun to have an Epcot Resort with representations of the different countries in World Showcase. Sort of how Pop has the 50s building, and the 60s, and the 70s...you could have "France," and "Germany," and "Mexico," etc. I think that would be fun. And they could serve all sorts of yummy food.

A Jungle theme might be fun too....like Rain Forest-y? Not so much Africa, like AKL, and not so Hawaiian like Poly, but more South American - with a Jungle Book theme!! :)

I personally would like a resort reminiscent of Haunted Mansion, but I'm strange like that. Heh. The theming for that would be great, kinda spookyish, but not so much that it freaks people out. Or makes them scream....

Question for you:
What is your standard rainy-day activity at WDW? Since we all know of the sporadic Florida showers.... (ps, I am using this as potential ideas incase we get rain!)

Yes, your 500th post!

Ooooh I can see a lot of people staying at a Haunted Mansion one! The Jungle Book one sounds good too!

My answer to your question: If it looks like it's going to keep raining all day, we love resort hopping. Using the monorail is the best for hopping from the Contemporary, to the Poly, to the GF. If we're at a park and it looks like it's going to keep raining, we will either suck it up and keep going if it's not raining too hard, or we'll head to a resort we haven't explored in awhile.

I don't know, but something dealing with Pixar--it would be another Family Suites value-type resort.

Sounds good to me!

I don't know where my questions come from :confused3 but I am glad they make you think because that is how I feel about them too:rotfl::rotfl:. Mickey is my fav character:cool1: yey for your idea.

Hey I never knew it was going to get these types of responses maybe we should all go to Disney with our idea and let them take care of the rest. :rotfl2:

Haha, yeah and they obviously get everyone else thinking too!

I think we should go to Disney too!

Question of the Day...

Today's question comes from lizet313!

If you could add any Resort to WDW, what would be the theme?

i would love to see an italian-themed resort, sort of set in tuscany and very rustic and pretty and peaceful and maybe a couple of alleyways made of water with a gondola or two thrown in like in venice.

Now that one would be nice. They should put that over by Epcot!

This would be nice and romantic for an adults-only resort!

On the other side of the noise spectrum, I would love to see them fix the Pop Legendary Years section into family suites and theme them with some of the older Disney movies my kids grew up on - Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Robin Hood, Fox and the Hound, Lion King, etc.

I think that they should add those to the Pop too!!!! The classic Disney movies!

1 month from today...

Ladies and gentlemen, we have finally reached the 1 month mark! :woohoo: So, now I will be adding the '1 month from today...' before each 'Question of the Day...'

So..1 month from today will be June 20th-the day we leave!! We'll be getting up around 4:45 or 5 so we can be on the road by 6 a.m.

We'll drive until we're so hungry we can't stand it.

Then, we'll continue our journey onto Nashville.

We'll drive through Kentucky and then finally get to Tennessee! We'll arrive at our hotel and head up to the room.

After we've settled in, we'll head over to the mall! This is where I hope to run into and meet the DIS'ers in the area (MeMom, Dawn, etc.). We'll eat at Rainforest Cafe and eventually make our way to the Disney Store, where I have to get a quick fix in! Haha.

Then, we'll call it a night and head back to the hotel. We'll have a tons more driving to do the next day, which means getting up bright and early again!

Question of the Day...

Today's question comes from that's nice!

What is your favorite restaurant NOT in a park, but still on WDW property?

What a great 1 month from today update :thumbsup2. I haven't eaten in any restaurants outside the parks. I will be able to give you my opinion when I return from my next trip.

My question to you is hmm...

If you could create a new Disney Movie what would it be about? and why? (New Movie, New character, Old character in a new movie, etc (Feel free to mix and match))

My favorite restaurant not in a park....I think would be Whispering Canyon. Actually, I don't think I've eaten at any restaurants not at a park other than Whispering Canyon and Artist's Point. Oh, and ESPN. But of those, Whispering Canyon definitely wins!

My question for you: (and I am kinda getting tapped out for questions, I apologize if I start repeating ones that have been asked before)
If you worked at WDW, not as a character, where/what would you want to be?

I can't wait to hear about your trip! Where are you planning on eating?

My answer to your question: Oh my gosh. You seriously ask the hardest questions. :lmao: Hm...I'd love a sequel to the newer Parent Trap with Lindsay Lohan. I know Natasha Richardson has passed away, but that can be part of the story line since most Disney movies are like that.

Whispering Canyon is so much fun! In 2001, when my grandparents and uncle came with, we ate there for breakfast one morning and of course I asked for ketchup. Our waiter just shouted "KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTCCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUUPPPPPPPPPP" and held that last note forever. I was laughing so hard I was crying. My grandma took pictures of all the ketchup bottles we ended up with at our table! Definately a highlight of that trip!

My answer to your question: I'd love to be a personal tour guide!!

yay! i hope i can make it!

it's a tie between narcoosee's and kona - i love them both!

I hope you can too Dawn!

Oooh those are both good ones! I haven't been to narcoosee's in forever though!

That is a good answer

The places I am deciding in eating are:

Chef Mickey breakfast

Cinderella's Gala Feast 1900 Park Fare Dinner

Donald's Safari Breakfast

Garden Grill either Lunch or Dinner

Ohana for dinner

Akershus for Breakfast

and Tony's Town Square if there is enough time and space.

Our boys would vote for Whispering Canyon - they love the all you can eat skillet. Mine is probably Chef Mickey's. We always have good character interaction and the food is good too.

Question of the Day...

Today's question comes from that's nice!

Yay for only one month! Today we hit the 3 month mark, woo hoo!

To answer the question...I'm going to go with the Rainforest Cafe. We ate there on our trip last May and it was great! I loved the theming and the food was pretty good too. I'm looking forward to trying the new T-Rex Cafe since it's by the same company as the RFC.

1 month to go!!!!!:cool1:

My favourite was California Grill at the Contemporary Resort. Very special and very tasty food!

What about you? Whats your fave place to eat?

I can't believe how close our trips are getting!

I really can't wait to try the Cali Grill someday. I'm saving it for my honeymoon! Haha.

My favorite place? I LOVE the Luau at the Poly. We've gone so many times that I know all the words to the songs, the food is great, and the atmosphere is just so laid back and relaxing.
