Hi,

This is my planned itinerary for our next trip (our 3rd) to Orlando at Easter. I am interested in any suggestions that anyone may have to improve it.

There are 3 of us (DH, DS aged 15 and me). We fly from Manchester with US Airways via Philadelphia to MCO. We are staying in an apartment at Windsor Palms near Splendid China. We have PHPs and Universal 5-day Bonus Passes. We've been to all the parks before but this will be our first time to KSC and a basketball game.

Weds 31st March - travel, land, pick up hire car & drive to apartment (grabbing some food en route!)

Thurs 1st April - AK all day then Epcot (Future World & Illuminations) (maybe include a visit to Beaches & Cream)

Fri 2nd April - MK all day till park closes

Sat 3rd April - Downtown Disney, Disney Quest then some shopping and maybe a visit to Celebration

Sun 4th April - MGM all day with Fantasmic Dinner Package at H&V

Mon 5th April - IoA am US pm followed by Dinner at Hard Rock (All Access Pass)

Tues 6th April - Typhoon Lagoon, then IoA in the evening

Wed 7th April - Check into Royal Pacific Resort for overnight stay - then US (with FOTL passes!) then CityWalk and a margherita or 2!

Thurs 8th April - IoA with FOTL passes

Fri 9th April (Good Friday) - Daytona Beach till late

Sat 10th April (Easter Sat) - Breakfast at Everett's Eatery then shopping at Florida Mall - evening at Orlando Magic basketball game

Sun 11th April (Easter Sun)- Winter Park boat trip then more shopping (Premium Outlet)

Mon 12th April (Easter Mon) - KSC all day

Tues 13th April - Blizzard Beach, then the Boardwalk

Wed 14th April - Busch Gardens all day

Thurs 15th April - Epcot World Showcase, then Hard Rock Vault

Fri 16th April - Pack and then head for airport - upgraded to Business Class for journey home

All suggestions gratefully received.

I'd like to fit in a Boggy Creek airboat ride somewhere too, if possible

Hi,

We're there the same time as you give or take a day.....flying form Gatwick on Tuesday 30th March, staying at Quality Inn International on I.Drive

We meaning myself, partner and my 10 year old Daughter.

Sounds like you will have a busy time of it. Good idea to avoid the parks over Easter Weekend - it will be bedlam.

We are going to see Orlando Magic on the 18th February so I will let you know what it was like. Not sure if I am looking forward to it or not - it's more for DH's benefit.

Sounds pretty good to me! The only thing I would say are that the parks are not as scary on Easter weekend as people seem to think, provided you get an ealy start and have somewhere else to be in the afternoon thru evening period (but even then Epcot was fine)(and we did Seaworld on Easter once and that was ok too, until mid afternoon) Why not do Boggy Creek first thing on Easter saturday or Easter Sunday? (what times the boat trip?)It only takes an hour up including travelling back to the Orlando area, so your shopping can commence then? (I'm presuming you can all get up reasonably early!;) )

Are you going to fit some PS's in?

Mike:)

Thanks for the replies.

Silverka2002 - I hope you have a great time! Fingers crossed for great weather!

Sue - Yes - let me know what you think of the Orlando Magic game and any tips. DS is the keen one - although DH got interested when the cheerleaders were mentioned!

Mike - we get up very early - I'm usually up by 6:30 am while in Orlando. Avoiding the parks over the Easter weekend was a deliberate tactic. Hmmm, re Boggy Creek - we went out on a weekend morning last time we were there and only saw one single (baby) gator. The weekend fishermen seem to frighten them away. On our previous trip, we went mid-week and saw loads. Still we've been twice - so don't really have to go again.
Re PS's - any recommendations?

Julie
