Just got back from a week in Orlando, was at HRH June 8-11. We checked in about 4pm on the 8th and it took quite awhile for them to find us a room. We were put in a handicapped room on the first floor. There was no bath tub, but 2 of the 4 of us loved the huge shower. The rugs were worn in the hall in places, as others have reported. Our room was not cleaned very well. The pool was so packed we never even swam.

On a postive note, we loved the water taxi, it saves quite a few steps when your back is hurting :( FOTL rocks! We will never ever go to Universal or IOA without it. Also, there was a special promotion going on in the giftshop for an AllAccess club membership which was 25.00 for life, and included 20.00 credit at shop or Hard rock cafe *i think*, a free backpack (15.00 value), and 5 or 6 free pins. We loved the backpack and used it the whole time. Our first night there we ate at the Kitchen and there was a special for kids where they got to make there own pizza, and eat off a kids buffet, boy was our 13 year old jealous of our 10 year old~

If there is a next time we will probably go to Portafino....

Thanks for the report. We love FOTL too! What is the Allaccess Club for $25 for life? Thanks

Going next week. I guess I can expect the worn carpet and beat up walls on the first floor. I'll be sure to tell them if they ask. If not, I'll write after our trip.

What we need, is some hot shot celeb with a pet to show up. I bet they'd fix the carpet and walls then.

I betcha they've had pets in the Graceland suite. I doubt that many hot shot celebs would stay in the normal rooms. I think everyone should just continue to let the hotel and company know about the unsatisfactory conditions. It really is disappointing to know that they are keeping that floor at levels that are not up to standard.

Thanks for sharing. Did you take a pet with you?

I'm going to be there Fri. - Sun. I also do not like what I've been reading about the carpets and walls, not for what they charge you.

You said the pool was packed, enough that you could not even swim, what can I look forward too this weekend. Should I save a couple chairs then go to the parks. Is that what people do?

I am so sorry to have dampened anyones excitement! The carpet was no big deal at all!!!! The hotel was awesome. The pool was also wonderful, we just happen to like a quiet pool ...... If I was younger and drank, I would have been in heaven lol.:jester: No, we left our 76 pound mutt baby at home...and missed her terribly.:(

I have been a all access member about 3 years or so and have built up a $160.00 credit. For every $200.00 you spend you get a $20.00 credit. They say you get roomdiscounts but I have never seen any.The biggert feature is the credit and you also get the next table when dining at the Hard Rock Cafe. It help a few times when the line for dinner was about an hour wait and I got the next available table.

FYI about All Access hotel discounts...when I booked HRH, I asked about All Access discounts. They were available, but the ENT rate was better. I should've asked what it was...the reservationist looked up the ENT rate and when I asked about AA, she said the ENT rate was still better, so she didn't bother telling me what the AA rate would've been.
