Hi guys, just got back on Monday from 21 days in sunny Orlando and thought I would share our highs and lows.
Lows
The guy at Alamo was horrible, we were tired and just wanted to get to the hotel, but this guy was hard work, I actually told him that I would not deal with him any longer and wanted to speak to his Manager, Manager was very nice and issue was rectified.
The amount of adults who pushed and shoved to get around the pushchair was horrendous, there were times when they nearly fell on top of it. This is my first experience of bringing a pushchair to Florida and it was awful, there was a night were an Asian family stopped my daughter who was first in line for the monorail and piled on in front and around her, my husband verbally told them off and had to help another family with a pushchair on.
Not really a low but it has been 4 years since we went to Florida in September and felt that it was a lot busier this time, not as busy as peak time I know, but much busier than we have every seen it, Downtown Disney at night was a nightmare!!
Highs
Saratoga Springs Resort - loved it, peaceful break from the parks, staff were all wonderful, food was good, Turf Club was one of our best meals.
Weather - only had 2 days were it rained, rest of the time it was just heavenly.
Food - did not have one disappointment, all the restaurants that we ate at were adequate, favourites were Citriccos, Turf Club, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Rainforest Café, TRex.
Discovery Cove - hired a cabana as we had the wee one with us and loved the experience, family tried sea quest or dive quest or whatever it was that you had the breathing helmet on and it was the highlight of their holiday.
And of course being at Walt Disney World thinking about booking again for next year.
