We have been there before, living maybe 45-60 minutes away but haven't seen any invites yet...darn, it's my bday too!!!!

Bethany - whoever you talked to might be a bit confused. Chicago pin traders aren't meeting at Doorway until the evening of July 10. However, we have found that the CMs at DOD do wear some good lanyard pins.

The invite says, there will be pin trading with other Members. When we rsvp'd, the CM asked how many (if any of us) would be trading pins that night.

I didnt know about that. But like Woodys posted, the invite mentioned pin trading and the CM that answered reminded us to bring our traders.
My 9 year old has more fun trading than we do, so I'll let him wear the trading lanyard.

We were at Doorway to Dreams last weekend scarfing free pins for our upcoming Disney Cruise and WDW visit and the castmembers said they were planning a DVC member event for August to celebrate their first birthday. We didn't buy our DVC at Doorway to Dreams, but have been invited to all the other member events so far. Maybe some (like us) might not get an invite if it is specifically for folks who bought their DVC at DtD. If it's June 26, we'll miss it anyway as we'll be at WDW. We plan to go to the DVC member events on the ship, though. Always cool stuff there.

Don't know where Drake, Co is but my DD is comming home today from Durango!! Could you tell I'm excited I haven't seen her in 3 months. Anyway we were told about the year celebration and monthly events as well.

DS is bringing a few pins to trade, he also got a nice POTC pin from a CM there.

Drake is just outside of Estes Park...about 15 minutes from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Durango is a couple hours away. Hope you are enjoying a happy reunion!
